Not going to lie I’ve drilled the slide by a bunch of different ways for years. These details were a huge game changer that increased my finishing rate on my takedowns immensely.
Simple & effective especially that over tie. That's an automatic when a collar tie gets thrown on me, then if they circle out to defend you can set up your hi c or outside single
Great stuff. I don't have a wrestling background, so I usually just hand fight and duck out of collar ties. I love the idea of using their position against them with these slide by moves. I will definitely be seeing what I can do with these. Thanks for posting!
short and simple love it, not sure if this was planned but it feels like these three moves progress in order of complexity. since i am a new to grappling i'll will try to practice the first technique and move on to the following moves once i get the hang of it.
i could learn from you ! It's sometimes hard to find a teacher that can deliver. I believe it's personal. I like the delivery. I can absorb! watch, copy, execute. Easy :)
I love watching Pixley wrestle. These techniques look fairly gentle but I imagine some of his throws are brutal for his teammates. I would have to imagine there has been some injuries due to the crazy impact on the mat. I hurt my shoulder pretty bad doing judo because of the throws.
Loved all of these options as I have struggled to know what to do when I can't win the battle for inside position with the collar ties. Drilled them today with a shorter friend. She struggled with the 2nd option. Would you say that the 2nd one is doable if you are not shorter than your opponent? Not something I should try against someone significantly taller?
Pixley, I got 2 questions: On the first one, are you guiding the arm with the thumb outside hand or actually making a grip? On the 2nd, how do you get enough of that tricep to slide it by? Is it more about the snap? I'm struggling.
Been trying to use all three of these and implement them last 6 months. Help so much as I don’t like shooting doubles as I get tried quickly and these are all low risk high reward and take no energy if you get the timing right. Big help!
Next time my grandma tries to grab me by the ear ....she gonna get some of that daisy fresh smoke
😂OSS!

Awesome! Please more videos. Being from a rural area in Missouri, it’s a great feeling to see a small town teaching BJJ, and winning tournaments.

I’d love to see a video of how to set these up as far as timing is concerned.
