This show and interview took place in Royal Oak, MI right near Detroit. I went to that show. It was sick!! I have been going to shows since I was 8 years old and that show was by far the best ever! Sucks they didn't go to Toronto but Detroit isn't too far for you to drive from Toronto. Hoping you catch them on the next tour. I know I will be going to multiple cities next time.
I feel like the next question is going to be, "So, on June 2nd, at 3:18am, when you were eating some leftover nachos that you got at Applebees 3 days before that, why were you wearing that Metallica shirt while you were sitting on that blue sofa?"
This is probably one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Not only directed to Highly Suspect but really one of my favourite interviews overall. Loved both yours' and Johnny's relaxed and posture and the fact you informed yourself before interviewing him, that's a thing a lot of interviewers don't do that is quite annoying. Great job!

I love how Johny doesn't consider them just rock, sticking to one genre. They are extremely talented and love how they also have an old school sound and they are highly talented in switching up their sound! I just got into Highly Suspect about 1.5 years ago and instantly was hooked!! I can relate to so many of their songs, it's friggin insane!!

Never heard of Highly Suspect before my brother showed me them on RUclips. Hell I'm a metal head grew up in the early 90 s w Manson and all kinds of progressive rock and industrial, like NIN , Rob zombie, so on and so forth. The first show I ever saw was Pink Floyd in 1993, in Cleveland Ohio . I guess I'm just in to old school music but these fellas kick ass. HIGHLY SUSPECT. ROCK ON BOYZ

I got into highly suspect in 2015 I think it was when I heard Lydia on the radio. My girlfriend and I had both been talking about this song but we couldn’t remember the name. Then it came on when we were together and we were like “that’s the song!” Turned out they were playing a show in Vegas where I lived in a small venue called the Brooklyn Bowl. We got right up front and they put on a great show. Sounded just as good live as they do on the album. They’re now my favorite band.

Glad you enjoyed it man! Sometimes if you’re given a set amount of time for an interview, in this case it was probably 10 minutes, the tour manager will ask you to wrap it up so that it doesn’t drag on and on when the artist has other obligations in their schedule to get to, so that’s probably all it was. Afterwards the tour manager said that was the first time Johnny ever asked for 5 more minutes, which I thought was really cool of him. Thanks for watching!
