Myriam I totally LOVE your tutorials. I am disabled and you've been a huge blessing for me and renewed my interest in life !!! You're so entertaining, funny and smart, not to mention really talented. Providing the supply lists is great. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You're terrific !! Great sites and I've spent endless hours learning and having fun. I hear the angels singing !!! Please keep up the wonderful "classes." Very much appreciated.
Oh Rochelle... Thank YOU for that amazingly kind comment... It touched me so much! I am just delighted that you are having fun with this channel. If I can ever help with questions that might come up, please ask... I will do my best to answer or find the answer. Thank you so much for writing ... It truly added to my day!! 😊💕
Dear , I seldom give comments, but your exciting videos made me do it. I found your channel today and had a look on maybe 5 videos - from beginning to the end - that´s seldom too. It´s so amazing which tricks you share and your calm way telling them is soooo great for me. Great LUV! And many THANKX and hugs!
Very nice, Myriam (without the extra letters.) I use a tooth pick which I clip off the sharp point to vary the size to make tiny dots. For bigger, I clip off the end of a Q-tip. There are so many different ways to apply alcohol ink. Fill a water brush with blending solution, pick up dried ink from a palette and apply to the surface you are painting. squeeze the brush and wipe the tip on a paper towel and your ready for the next color. Nor original idea of mine. Don't want to take credit from someone else. Using the airbrush certainly would save one's breath when you are short winded like me. I noticed you also have Piñata inks by Jacquard. I like the gold, silver and white better than Adirondak. What I don't like about Piñata is the big tips on the bottles. Keep on experimenting and showing us new things. Cheers!
I'm trying to start a "Myriam-spelling" revolution... One viewer at a time! I have faith 😄. You are so right about anything wooden like a toothpick... They "hold on" to more ink than the metal stylus does and are awesome. Alcohol inks are so accepting of many things being dunked in them... You've got to love that in an art product. I've never gotten a waterbrush specifically because I have refillable blender pens, but the waterbrushes do sound wonderful. I feel a little obligated to at least try one though before doing a beginner's video on supplies. I ABSOLUTELY agree about Piñata bottles, I don't know what they were thinking. I like a few of their colors because of their brilliance. We're lucky they work nicely with Adirondacks. Thanks for "chatting AI" with me John... It's always fun to meet other creatives. 😊
Please, please do a complete beginner series on alcohol inks! I’ve really want to learn more! I’ve already picked up a couple of bottles to play with and I have no idea what to do or where to go with this stuff.
As if you didn't know by now, you're a fabulous instructor! You've also got the voice for this and have life in your presentations instead of it being just another ho-hum video. I really enjoy watching you work and gaining new techniques. Thank you Myriam!
Hi Miriam! Been revisiting some of your older videos since you posted a new one that I watched today. I feel better now after watching you...it’s good to know I’m not alone in the bazarro world of alcohol inks. Now I know to let those inks know THEY’RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME! 😝 Oh how I love the way you think and reason and figure things out, then share with your subscribers. Thank you for that. Your kind & generous nature comes through your voice to us. Much love and many thanks to you 💞❤️ Diana
Exactly Diana!! Just like acrylic pouring, you can let the inks take over and do what THEY want OR you can teach 'em who's BOSS!! Seriously, I think we can have more fun when we get to let our creativity come out to play. The inks have a lot of amazing properties and I'm so happy you're having fun with them. Thank you for really adding to my day! Your comment was so very sweet! 😊💕
I’m becoming a real fan of you and alcohol inks and techniques. You have inspired me to jump in with both feet! I’m still a pouring acrylic artist and sculptor but I’m just fascinated with this medium. Thanks for all the tutorials.
As I’m watching all your videos I can (a very fun obsession ) I am wanting to learn how to get started without committing a large amount of money all at once. I appreciate your teaching style, obvious enjoyment of your craft. Explaining elements as you do with my saving lessons is educating me so well. Thank you!
My goodness you are amazing at teaching I cant get enough I love this technique its going to be like Christmas tomorrow trying all I have learned from you!!!!!
So . . . I painted all my caps white using white acrylic gesso (two coats) last night, but the alcohol ink doesn’t show up well at all when I try painting on top of them this morning. Did you use a different white for your lid base coat, or did you use acrylic paint to approximate your alcohol ink colors? Thank you in advance! 🤗
Exceptional. I have some alcohol inks on order and really don't know what to do with them. PLEASE do more on this subject. What I've seen from you is extraordinary!
Myriam, I am Lynne with an “e” so I feel the same as you about people spelling it correctly. This tile caught my eye and I loved watching your technique. The dots make it special! Thanks for sharing.
Love the abstract fun ones but would really like to see how you do the landscape ones as you are the only one who really shows how the inks can be used in this way. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
I would love to see video's on how you did the realistic pictures. How do you seal the alcohol inks on the tile when you are done? Would this work for coasters?
Hi Jo! My very next video is going to be using alcohol inks to do a sunset painting… I hope you’ll like it. Me personally I use this spray by Krylon: amzn.to/2BqQb5X It is the only varnish I have ever found that has zero impact on the inks… In other words it doesn’t cause them to reactivate or bled in any way whatsoever, regardless of how much you apply. If you’re going to be using the finished piece as just a coaster for cold or room temperature drinks the spray alone will be fine. If you need to make coasters for hot drinks I recommend checking out the videos that "Deby at acrylic pouring" did testing various sprays and a resin for that very purpose. Let her know I sent you. 😉 I hope that helps a bit. 😊💕
Hi! Since you asked, I'm going to tell you that I am an absolute beginner. Any videos you make showing us neophytes how to use alcohol inks and to help us learn all about them would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your quality content! I watch so much of it and I've learned so much already!
I am so glad I found you! I am always looking for art technique that are interesting, and that I could do. I am housebound, and watching your videos have done so much for my spirit!
Myriam, I would LOVE if you could do some videos on your more "realistic" paintings with alcohol. I've not progressed to that point yet. Even though I know the basics, I think that would be fantastic. It really helps to remember some of the things I have forgotten in my advanced age. (hee hee) I absolutely Love the tip of painting the cap white, then putting the color on the caps. (Why didn't I think of that? ;) And it looks like I might have to invest in an airbrush. Thank you so much for all the videos you do for us. You are one fantastic lady.
Oh my gosh… Thank you so much for that Ann!!! 💕💖 If you are thinking of getting an airbrush, and can afford to spend a few more dollars, get at least the mid-range one I put in the Amazon "shop" (really more a list of recommendations). That airbrush only runs when you press the trigger (Instead of it running the second you turn it on, whether you've pressed the trigger yet or not... I hope that made sense.) Given how much I started to see that I was using it, I realized I had to upgrade. In the next week or so I'll do another unboxing video on the new one. 😊
Love to learn how to make a landcape with flowers or a vase with flowers. I find it hard to keep the shapes without the ink always moving. You are a wonderful teacher.
PS: over the years I have accumulated all the tools I need to do AI, but you are the first one to inspire me and to teach in a way that makes me actually want to USE them!
I see a butterfly, a woman's face (chin), a fish...what a wonderful piece! My favorite so far! Can't wait for my ink set to get here! You make such fun and creative tutorials thank you! 😁
Thank you Pamela! I'm excited for you... You're going to have such a good time with them. Wear gloves... These suckers stain like crazy 😄! I wish you a ton of fun! 😘💕
Hi Myriam, Would you please do some videos for absolute beginners like me? Thank you for your clear instructions and for showing us how to make beautiful art pieces.
Just stumbled upon your page and boy am I glad! I’m fairly new to alcohol inks and love finding new ways to use it! You’ve got some beautiful pieces and I’m thankful you are willing to share your techniques and ideas!
Myriam, I really appreciate your videos. Your tutorials are thorough and easy to follow. It is nice how you include tips and materials. You inspire me and make this new art for me seem possible.
Wow so talented....Thank you! I've never played with alcohol inks, but you inspire me to do so. I have everything but never knew what to do with them. I am binge watching your tutorials.😳😀💖💜💕🌹🌷
WOW, just wow! The colorful one and the fall scene blew my socks off! I would love to see either or both of the vids with the trees. Thanks so much Myriam
More more more! I love everything that you share with us! In answer to what you should or shouldn't show? EVERYTHING....I love what I learn from you, you are a wonderful teacher so please continue to show and teach us your magic....ty for ALL you share.....Lisa
I love your videos. As a newcomer to alcohol inks, I’ve found them very helpful and I love your detailed teaching technique! In one of your beginner videos, you mentioned (if I understood correctly) using alcohol inks that had already been thinned with additional alcohol. Could you please offer more detail on amounts of each. Thank you!
Have to say again, I LOVE all of your videos! All mediums, techniques, and teaching style. You are an amazing, talented very generous woman to share all that you do. Do you ever work in watercolors? If so would love to see. Keep those videos coming. Your teaching style, with that awesome laugh of yours makes my day, when you put up a new video. Would love to see more "realistic " alcoholic l work. Thanks for all you do and share!! ❤️❤️
I tried watercolors years ago and loved them but then life got in the way and I stopped. I would love to find time to try them again. I will be doing lots more alcohol inks videos once I get through my holiday orders. Thank you ever so much for your amazingly kind comment Susan ... It really put a smile on my face! 😊💕
Beautiful! I would love to see more alcohol ink videos. I have been working with this medium for awhile with mixed results and you have definitely inspired me. Thank you!
Enjoyed your ink art very much. First time learning your technique one painting I saw was the one of The Fall trees. About six big ones and maybe few more in background I would like to see how you did that one so hope to find your tutorial for that one. You are very talented... I am an amateur photographer but am beginning to feel an interest in many other tutorials here on you tube. Thank you.
You are a pleasure to listen to and you have a wonderful teaching ability. I would enjoy watching as many alcohol inks as you would like to make. Thank-you.
I loved this. The colours, techniques.... everything. If I wanted to preserve... to use for a splash back above the bathroom sink would you resin the final product?
I have been watching other channels using various media and I wonder if you have seen artists using the swipe techniques (either wet or dry) to acheive different effects. Have you experimented with this at all? I have loved watching you work and really enjoyed your experiments, thank you.
Hi Myriam! I just love you! You are absolutely delightful and such a hoot! You’re also very very talented & creative & I am loving everything I’m learning from you! Thanks so much for doing your YT tutorials, I know they’re a lot of work & we ALL appreciate it SO MUCH! I’m especially enjoying the alcohol ink tutorials I’m just getting into now. Thanks again, you’re terrific! 🌸🌺🌼🦄
Thank you so so so much , I am a starter, I enjoy your videos , your voice is so soft and clear , you should work in radio station !, you are amazing !! ❤️
Myriam love it! Please show us more.. and any tips for alcohol ink on brass would be so cool.. bought some brass earrings on holiday to play with.. now I’m off to paint the bottle lids white!
This is a wonderful technique Myriam. Question: if you paint on a tile and want to use it as a trivett to put a kettle on for instance, do you have to seal the tile? If so, with what? Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad I found you. Your explanations are very clear.
Hi Dianne. First of all thank you for the kind words. Technically an alcohol ink painting doesn’t NEED to be sealed but it is still recommended for longer durability. The inks wouldn’t wash off but they can be scratched. The only spray sealer that seems to exist that has zero impact on the inks is this one by Krylon : amzn.to/2BqQb5X It can hold up to use as a sealer for cold drink coasters but not to real heat. Unlike nearly every spray and brush-on varnish, it does not 'reactivate' the inks or cause them to bleed. Since it can’t hold up to heat, you’d seal the tile first using that spray and then add a heat resistant finish on top of it. "Deby at Acrylic Pouring" has done a series of videos where she tests sealers to see if they can hold up to heat. I believe she did a video demonstrating how Envirotex Lite resin worked for her, and she did another one with a spray varnish that seemed to work too. If you check her channel you are sure to find them. I hope that helps a bit. 😊💕
Thank you so much Myriam. I checked out Deby’s site and it appears the Envirotex resin is the best option. Would you still recommend putting on a sealer first with alcohol inks?
Hi again Dianne 😊. It's been a long time since I used Envirotex as my resin, but yes ... Seal your tile first before using any type of resin. Resin can both lift and move the inks (cause them to bleed) and it can also change the color of many inks. For example, you make a vibrant piece with hot pinks, purple, etc., then you pour resin on top ... a while later some colors will have, sadly, completely faded to a pastel at best or lost their bright tone. This latter issue seems to be a property of resin specifically... But Krylon's Kamar will act as a protective barrier for all of that. I wish you much fun and luck with your pieces. 😀
I realize you made this instructional video a while ago, but I just wanted to say I think this piece is absolutely gorgeous, as is anything else I’ve seen you do! You’re a wonderful teacher and an inspiration to watch! I own only 4 colors of alcohol inks, but haven’t opened them yet, and I have no idea how to use them. I’m fairly recently subscribed, so thought I’d go back to your “beginner” sessions and start there. I make handmade cards but thought it’d be interesting to make some alcohol backgrounds for those. Anyway, I’m so glad I came across your wonderful channel. Now I just have to figure out to how watch your videos in some type of chronological order. TFS. You’re truly an amazing artist. 👍🏻
You are so talented! I have alcohol inks and just learning how to use them! I love your picture painting! Would love to see more of those!! Thanks for being a fantastic teacher!❤️
If this is a final and finished piece of art, how would you go about sealing it for use as a coaster? Can you recommend a sealant? Love the vibrant colors, beautiful piece, thanks for sharing. M.H.
I love this - the colors, style and technique. I have been playing more with alcohol inks as I am going broke using resin alone, building up layers and colors. While the depth is gorgeous, the cost of producing such a piece make it hard to sell. Thank you for another great video Myriam with a 'y'
Thank you Myriam (with a Y!)... you are a beautiful lady and I just LOVE your work. Thank you for sharing and yes, Please SHARE EVERYTHING you can do with us!! I have listened to thousands of you tube art videos and yours are up there with the best... you are easy to listen to and a great teacher ;)
Really enjoyed your video, was very helpful. I would like to do more landscapes on tiles with inks and find that your style and techniques would be very beneficial. Thank you so much for sharing 😻
I absolutely LOVE this and may get up the nerve to try it myself. Before the dots were added(which are very cool too) I would like to have the wispy flowers/colors as a back splash in my all white kitchen. Thank you so much for the demonstration..
This looks great! Thank you. You have inspired me to venture out of my usual art and opened a whole other world of creativity. Can this tile be used as is when dry or do you finish it with some top coat? I would love to see more of the realist scapes and painting techniques. The landscape with the trees looks wonderful.
Hi there! When you say “used as is” do you mean as a coaster? If yes, it would definitely end to be sealed because the alcohol ink would eventually rub off with prolonged use. For something like a coaster I’d recommend resin as your final topcoat, after using Kamar Varnish to seal the inks and prevent them from bleeding/moving with the resin application. If you are only going to display the tile, than just a coat or two of Kamar varnish is likely sufficient. You may also want to add a UV protecting spray afterwards. Whatever you choose, remember Kamar is the best “first layer”. Here is a link - Kamar Varnish: amzn.to/2Evyv9N I hope that helps a bit. 😊💕
I have just started watching your video's. Your fantastic, I have learnt so much from watching you. Im also very new to the art world so the way you explain things as you go makes it feel like Im in a classroom with you. I would love to see some representational alcohol ink videos.
Hi Cindy... I am working on some representational videos and hope to have them out soon. Thank you for your amazingly kind words! I really appreciate them! 😊💕
Hi Myriam........I really like these realistic pieces.........More realistic landscapes please...........They are much like what I enjoy creating. Is there a difference between Pinata Claro and Ranger's blending solution? Is the claro better to work with with Pinata?
What a natural and empathetic teacher you are. Thanks so much
Awww, thank you!!! What a lovely thing to say! 😊💕 I will happily do more ... It was my pleasure to share.

I love the fact that you used just a little bit of the alcohol ink. Your demonstration is so clear and easy to follow with beautiful results. Thanks.
Yes, yes, yes! PLEASE show us more of both abstract and representational alcohol ink!
😄 Linda, for supporters like you it is REALLY my pleasure! 😘 Thank you again for your kindness!! 💕💖💕
Mariam I have been out of art for 25 years so I need the basic refresher on all medium. Thank you for your craft. You are so creative. Love your mind.

Wow, that's awesome to hear... Thank you Peggy!
Love it.. could you do a video on some basics of the inks.. I’ve never used them but after watching you.. I think I may try them, they are gorgeous
I will be happy to Jason. They are sooo fun to use, and compared to many things in the art world not that expensive to try out. 😊
Myriam's Nature awesome. Thank you so Myriam, I can’t wait

I wish we could add photos to the comments. I would love to show you how mine turned out. Thanks for the tutorial.
Hi Myriam, Would you please do some videos for absolute beginners like me? Thank you for your clear instructions and for showing us how to make beautiful art pieces.

Thank you ever so much for your amazingly kind comment Susan ... It really put a smile on my face! 😊💕
Please keep teaching us more techniques with alcohol inks.
I absolutely will. My very next upcoming video is one doing a sunset with the inks... I hope that you will like it Jaycee. 😊
Beautiful! I would love to see more alcohol ink videos. I have been working with this medium for awhile with mixed results and you have definitely inspired me. Thank you!
I have been working feverishly on putting together a small series. I hope to post something in the next couple of days. 😊 Thank you Cathy.
They work really well with acrylic resin!
They sure do Becky!
I would love for you to show us the basics on how to make a landscape. You are so talented!
I will happily do that Debra! Thank you!!
Love all your work! My particular love is abstracts. Your acrylic pours are unbelievable!
Many thanks for that ! 😊💕
Thank you.
You are the best teacher and I want to know more about how to use alcohol inks! So yes, please more videos!
You are a pleasure to listen to and you have a wonderful teaching ability. I would enjoy watching as many alcohol inks as you would like to make. Thank-you.
Thank you so much for that feedback Cindy! . I am working on a series of videos for them so I hope you will stay tuned. 😊
Coloring the caps was brilliant! Great idea!!
I loved this. The colours, techniques.... everything. If I wanted to preserve... to use for a splash back above the bathroom sink would you resin the final product?
I am so grateful to find you!!! You are so talented and a very good teacher. Thank you for sharing like you do to all of us.
Thank YOU Darlene!
Please talk about fixatives/spray finishes to protect the finished tiles (if they are to be used as coasters).
Will do Pam! 😊
I would like to observe your techniques for the other tile paintings you showed that had some realistic elements like the trees etc.
Great! Ive wanted to try this! And I love the little hit of painting the lids if the inks! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure Jamey! 😊
I have been watching other channels using various media and I wonder if you have seen artists using the swipe techniques (either wet or dry) to acheive different effects. Have you experimented with this at all? I have loved watching you work and really enjoyed your experiments, thank you.
Can you do a resin pour with alcohol ink only?
Your art is so awesome and beautiful.
What a lovely thing to say... Thank you!!! 💖
I would love to see you do some flower centers with multiple dots.
Thank you so so so much , I am a starter, I enjoy your videos , your voice is so soft and clear , you should work in radio station !, you are amazing !! ❤️
Turned out so pretty! What do people do without these finished tiles?
I just discovered your channel and I’m amazed at your talent. Thank you for taking the time to share your gift!
I agree I need to see the representational. It will make me feel like a real artist!
Ha... love that thought so I will certainly support it! There’ll be more representational videos for sure. 😊💕 Thank you Hannum!
Myriam love it! Please show us more.. and any tips for alcohol ink on brass would be so cool.. bought some brass earrings on holiday to play with.. now I’m off to paint the bottle lids white!
You make it look soooo easy! I will definitely try this! Thanks for the wonderful lesson!!
Loved how whimsical this turned out. Can’t wait to try some of your techniques!
Myriam's Nature Thank you Myriam. Looking forward to having a go.
Oh thank YOU Jenny... Viewers like you make this so much fun to do! I will happily start adding alcohol ink videos of all levels.😊💕
Great info
Could I use the tile for a coaster and would the condensation of the beverage ruin the peace?
Love your al inks. Anything you do greatly accepted. Lovely tips whether you are a beginner or experienced. Thank you
Oh that is great to hear Gillian... Thank you!
I'm interested in learning to use my airbrush for creating mist in my paintings. Love what you do and your teaching methods.
I bought some alcohol inks other day, I’m HOOKeD!!!!! I love how beautiful they are! They are definitely cheaper then acrylic paints
Myriam, you always make me smile! More! More! Lol.
Awww, thank you Marianne! I sooo appreciate that! 😘💕
Thank you for this tutorial - I think the airbrush is inspirational!
You are very talented, love your ink paintings.
😊💕
What do you do with the tile now t you have made it so beautiful?
Thank you !
I love it! I will try it with my grandchild next week end.
Really enjoyed your video, was very helpful. I would like to do more landscapes on tiles with inks and find that your style and techniques would be very beneficial. Thank you so much for sharing 😻
That's awesome to hear… Thank you Christine!
I absolutely LOVE this and may get up the nerve to try it myself. Before the dots were added(which are very cool too) I would like to have the wispy flowers/colors as a back splash in my all white kitchen. Thank you so much for the demonstration..
It was my pleasure... Thank YOU 😊💕 .
Your videos are great and so helpful for me just learning. My fave is the floaty-ethereal art but I’d love to see more on landscapes with alcohol ink
😊Will do Rachel... Thank you!!
What do you spray on top once its dry...I wish to make coasters...thank you...nice work
LOVE the various techniques you show us!
Beautiful work and excellent videos! I want to work on landscapes. I do them with felt and acrylic.
I would really like more of the representational pictures. I'm really new to alcohol ink but have been painting for a long time.
Hi Myriam........I really like these realistic pieces.........More realistic landscapes please...........They are much like what I enjoy creating. Is there a difference between Pinata Claro and Ranger's blending solution? Is the claro better to work with with Pinata?
So fun and pretty. Thanks for making such informative videos. Beautiful work.
😊💕 Thank you Glynis!!
Love it. You do beautiful work and show it so effortlessly.
Oh my gosh... thank you Susan! 😊💕
