The FF is a ton of fun. I still prefer the skippy very slightly, but there’s a lot of good racing to be found in the FF. It actually has a lot more grip than I was expecting, too.
Definitely drives a bit tricky. Brakes are solid but feels easy to lose the rear carrying too much speed and downshifting early induces massive oversteer.
Good racing, sorry about that touch at 15:20. That aside, I love how you can really rub and bump wheels in this car and not destroy the entire suspension.
Thx for a great video Suellio. Are you using auto-blip on this car? I use antistall and manual shifter but it seems like i lose a lot of focus lifting for upshifts and blipping for downshifting. 😐
I fail to see how this car is a rookie car. The handling is somehow more difficult than the l49. The tyres have almost no transition phase which looks like a bug. All the guys who say, "nah I can handle it are 2 seconds of pace". I ve seen a 6.7 Sof where everybody except Johnny Guindy was slower than my best and half of them spun the car. So I fail to see how people can race together if putting the guy next to you on a bump will kill him. Still quite interesting to drive alone.
@@SuellioAlmeida can I ask you another question, in your opinion is there any advantage to SIM racing using a formula rim over an oval rim in road circuits?
@@paulevans4216 Not really, sometimes having an oval rim helps you catch big moments actually, whereas on the formula rim you lose the wheel and you can catch it back properly

I believe although it's difficult it really forces you to dominage fast reacting weight transfer techniques. Try insisting a little bit to get the hang of it! It'll be much more rewarding afterwards.

Why is it that lifting causes so much rotation? Does coasting keep the fronts loaded as well with weight transfer? Is this purely because of inertia?

do you have to lift to shift? You can flat shift them in real life. Across the gate is hard. But 1-2 and 3-4 are easy to flat shift
I was blipping the clutch but I didn`t try anything else lol

FF1600 is a lot of drivers first experience racing cars after karts. It’s shifting more to F4 these days though
The tyres seem absolutely perfect in my view in this car, maybe not so good in others but they definitely nailed this. At least in current state.

I though you had to use the clutch to downshift in this car, are you using auto clutch or its just not necessary in iracing?
I'm using the sequential shifter with no blipping and no clutch. Maybe I had it on auto-clutch or auto-blip
Don't need clutch to downshift in iracing. I'm just running anti-stall.
From position 10 to second with only 2 overtakes at start 😂😂😂 all other went out of track.

its not too hard it just sucks. Its a terrible design for a race car. It teaches you nothing about driving open wheelers.
