I know nobody would have called Shuga Cain from US S11 a "baby queen" because she was already 40, but she has less than 2 years of experience professionally. It seems like a term that mixes young age and inexperience, and this contestant lack both, which is good for the show to be not that young and to have experience as a drag artist, or at least to us as viewers, in my opinion.

Philippine Drag queens are just in a different level. They are ELITE. Because for most of them, it's not just a "gig"... It's a lifestyle... many of them started really young and MOST of them started as stand up comedians. So you know they are very witty and funny and creative....

singing as well as pageantry is pretty integrated in philippine culture ! even drag is in the mainstream. there is not one day that i did not hear someone doing karaoke or playing music during my stay there, plus one of our variety shows had a drag-pageant segment where they would debate and continuous wins would be measured by the stack of crowns on a queen's head ! so there's lots of exposure to aspects of drag artistry there
