- Hey guys! I'm so excited to partner with DevaCurl to share this video of how I went from Black hair to having brown/ blonde highlights at the DevaChan Salon! I've been wanting to color mohair for the past year (plus), and I finally decided to go ahead and do it!! This video shows you how the stylist colored my hair, styled my hair using DevaCurl products. Bleached hair can remain healthy. It's a stigma that once you bleach, it's over. But that's usually coming from people that don't stick with caring for their now bleached strands. Let alone understanding what it means to have color-treated hair. You never hear a stylist complain about how damage their bleached stands are because they know what they are meant to do to care for it. Most of them don't even be deep conditioning. Fawsiya my hair is dyed honey blonde and I have had it honey blonde for a little over a year now . I love itt u just have to make sure u keep up with ur hair so it’s not dry and breaking off

yay!! just pay attention to your hair as the months go by... in case they ever get very dry, it changes and etc , make notes on your phone when it happens because highlights are highlights no matter the technique.

Girl, you'll be fine as long as you take care of it. Pick yourself up some Olaplex number 3 at Sephora. It repairs the protein bonds within your hair and helps it remain healthy while being colored. Do some research, and you will find out tricks to keep your hair healthy. Research as in watch actually hairstylist colors their own heads of hair and what they do to upkeep it. Google search and so forth. There are so many salon products that people other than colorists/stylists don't seem to know about until they color. Not all salon products are available to those unlicensed unless you got that good friend that happens to be a colorist, or you can actually find it on Amazon, but👀 not all things you should be so trusting on when it comes to Amazon. Don't wait for your hair to get dry and your scalp to itch before you wash it again. Double your deep conditioning, meaning, have two wash days instead of one. It will change your life. Yes, two. And deep condition ever time. One of those days should be co-washing.
Don’t feel guilty at all. Especially if your hair was already healthy and you didn’t use a super high volume or anything. You should be good. And definitely the tips above are helpful. ☺️☺️🤗
Vida is fabulous I’ve been getting Pintura Highlights on my natural hair for 2 years. She does it in a way that my gray hair blends in over time. Your going to love it as the days go by.

Has ur hair passed the length it was last year before that horrible experience or have u been struggling to get it back to that length. U should give us n update on your hair journey since then.
I’ll do an update!! Good idea! It has definitely grown a lot. It’s not at the length that it was before the bad haircut. I waited a year before fixing the cut because A) I didn’t even know how to fix it myself because it was so jacked up 😩 and B) I didn’t trust anyone to do it. But Last year I went to MoKnowsHair (who’s amazing) and she had to cut a lot off to fix the haircut (some sections were 8 inches longer than other sections, and it needed to be cut to the SHORTEST layer to make it even... and the shortest layer was below my collar bone-ish area😥). But this past year I’ve been growing it out and it’s around waist length. I just did a big trim...So probably in one year (or sooner), we’ll be back there. 💪💪☺️

Arianny Trinidad look it up on youtube , there is/was a very big drama around devacurl because some of their products caused hair loss, irritation and limp curls that eventually turned into waves , people decided to step up a few months ago and there is a law suit against them

Tiffany elaine Stubbs Farrulla I’m a sun worshiper so all of that sun dried the crap out of my hair and turned the highlighted parts into dry brassy hay. UV rays can also bleach it more. So unless you’re super on top of your regimen or prone to dryness I personally wouldn’t bleach in the dead middle of summer. Either spring or fall.

Girl, that’s just kinky curly hair for ya. 😂 Our hair shrinks like crazy, especially without any product. The end you can see it’s not as short... but even then, it’s SUPER shrunken. 🤣🤣

Her hair is still long though... And seriously I don't think reminding her that her hair is not that long anymore is a good idea, especially when it is because of that dreadful hairstylist who messed up her hair. She was pretty shaken by this awful experience so you coming back with saying unnecessary stuff like "naaah your hair was defo longer before 😂" . What is the point? Why reminding her that fact? That is on her head and she knows better than all of us. No point of saying it again and when she tells you it is shrinkage, but you insist.
