- Hey everyone!
Here is an extremely EASY and simplified video on HOW TO change your transmission fluid on any 2015+ Subaru WRX 6-speed transmission. The WRX calls for 75w-90 API GL5 (3.5 qts).
The same basic concept applies for any transmission fluid change!

Straight to the point . Good vid
Thanks! Hope it helped!
i would love to know the wheel and tire specs on that bad boi
@@fatherbreeder ooof this was so long ago and I’ve lost contact with the guy. I’m sorry!
How about change the sealing washer on the drain plug?
enjoy your notchy shifting with a 90 weight oil
The Mobil 1 used here is designed specifically for differentials. I would not use it in a transmission, although it should be fine in theory since it has a GL-5 rating. It is also quite thick compared to the OEM 75W80.
Manual transmissions use gear oil, manufacturer (OEM) recommends 75W-90. You're entirely wrong lol just saying 🤷
Fun fact: there's a differential inside the transmission
Easy enough!
Yeah it’s not too bad at all! Thanks for watching!
Dude, that was way overfilled! Plus using an LS oil in a trans? Have mercy on that owner...
I thought that on 2015 Subaru Impreza Wrx automatic transmission comes with a CVT’s.
Automatic is a CVT yes! This one is the manual
I have 2015 wrx cvt and I just want to add new fluid does need to be programming ?
oh shoot so sorry for the late response on this! I am not sure to be honest! What did you find out?
It did need to be program
@@octavioguzman2836 oh wow interesting! I never would have thought! Thanks for the info! Sorry again for that super late reply!
This alert can be disabled by the on board controls, similar to inspection of tires, oil, and normal maintenance reminders. No need to have a scan tool to reset these reminders
Dealer changed my fluid and I'm looking at the level and it's just at the Low line, which feels like it's too low. Should I wait for the transmission to cool down before checking again?
I wouldn’t supposed that’s a bad idea! That’s what I would recommend!
Does the sti have a dip stick for the diff fluid?
The front diff and the trans are oiled together
@@boxerbaddies my question is there a way I can check the level for the fluid on the sti?
@@alexismedina_official5594 Unfortunatlely not, you can tell the correct level as it will pour out the side of the fill plug. So sorry for the late response! WAY more active on YT now!
Where is the dip stick
It’s right underneath the intercooler on the passenger side.
Also my transmission just got changed and now I still can’t put my car to drive or reverse it runs for a while can it be the fluid
Maybe it’s the reverse lockout?
@@boxerbaddies okay , someone is saying that it could be my fluid and maybe also didn’t change my differentials too can that be it
Did you fix the problem? Because i have the same problem
@@MK6Eurojaydid you fix the problem because i have the same problem
