Actually burning effect makes critical cryo worth using. U can actually melt more consistently if dendro gets affected by pyro and then use a main dps like chongyun
@@longsuffer I tried it but my only Dendro applicator is the traveler and it was hard to keep the burning up with a lot of the enemies moving

I love Chongyun with all my heart and personally I like his kit and design a lot! He’s got the drip, his animations are hella sick and I love his spirit blades and one of his ascension passives which makes a blade come down after his skill ends (you can’t imagine how often I was too lazy to change my party and couldn’t reach the hilichurls on their little towers, so I’d place Chongyun‘s skill and watch when the blade came down to hit them, so satisfying haha).
Anyways, I really like his character and playstyle, so I really appreciate this video! Love some Chongyun appreciation :D
As the ultra rare Chongyun main, Since 1.1, I SPRINTED to this video once I saw it. Thank you so much for Building my bby. I’ve built him with Serpent Spine. His teammates are Xingqiu, Layla (was Bennett) and Kazuha. But when I get Shenhe I may swap Kazu. Seeing such beautiful numbers with my darling brings tears to my eyes

Chongyun actually had a 40% usage rate when the Abyss Lectors and Heralds were running the Abyss
chongyun was the first character i ever got by rolling gacha in genshin, even before noelle, and so i've had him for a pretty long time. my chongyun's always been pretty reliable and the best team i've got is him, albedo, layla, and xingqiu. to be fair, though, i've only been playing for about 6 months now, i'm f2p, and so i don't have a lot of 5 stars.

Damn... What a coincidence. I've played for six months now, Chongyun has been my first 4 star character, and i've gotten Albedo also. I did drop Chongyun for some time now, but once i get Yelan and Shenhe i'll make a good invested team with Chongyun, Xingqiu, Yelan and Shenhe.
I also got him before Noelle! I'm very new to this account (used to speedrun the game only so never went past ar7 or so) but I've been religiously trying to keep him as my main dps since, after a week I'm ar27 ^^
I'm very limited with how I can do my team so rn I use sucrose, Barbara and xiangling along until I can assemble something better.
The reason chongyun is so unused isnt because he's bad by any means, it's just that so many dpses can give themselves infusions (yoimiya, hutao, ayato, ayaka) and a cryo infusion isn't really needed anyway, another character can fill his place and support the team better, but he's pretty good in freeze and fridge teams. Love for chongyun ❤️❤️

Chongyun is literally the forgotten Hero. The former star that binds the National team, and now he is just a shadow of his former self. Stuck on his past's glory.
Chongyun is my first C6 character in my main account and the last 4star I needed in my alt (but now I have them all). Aside from that Chongyun really meant nothing for me, I haven't even use him after I C6'd him.
Chongyun was my favorite boy before Zhongli came out, I still use the original National Comp from time to time, I swapped out Chongyun for Rosaria for a while but went back to Chongyun because I still like him a the most out of the cryo characters.

I just started playing Genshin 3 days ago, and chongyun was my first character roll! I have grown extremely attached to him, he's just adorable and so cool, I found this video in hopes I could play him forever XDc
I've been a Chongyun main since the beginning, and the moment my boy hit over 600k with his burst I understood that he is a damn fire and no tier list is going to convince me otherwise. These eople didn't even play Chongyun and it shows.
He is one of the best characters on my account, and I have everybody. He is a blast to play, he deals a lot of damage, he is a quick swapper and he is good with many characters as a dps/sub dps.
He actually did get lots of upgrades the past year. Shenhe alone is a massive buff, even f2p Shenhe is amazing with him. Also the national team got Yelan upgrade so yeah, Chongyun's first team is now better than it was. I really like how Kokomi and Layla play with him.
All and all, good to see my boy getting love!
I've been maining Chongyun ever since i got him in 1.2. Honestly he's the coolest character in genshin. Who else makes giant ice blades rain down at enemies??? He's so fun to play with and i will never stop maining him. I love the satisfaction you get when you're absolutely destroying an enemy in the rain. I love his design so much. I love his personality. It's so sad how he never shows up in quests. He only showed up in the lantern rite dinner thingy and WE INTERRUPTED HIS CONVERSATION WITH ZHONGLI. He also showed up in the tcg limited event and we only got a few lines from him. I was screaming and jumping on my bed while watching the shenhe trailer CUS HE'S THERE OH MY GOD HE'S THERE HE'S SO COOL. Also he deserves a better best friend that doesn't give him false leads and doesn't sneak jueyun chilis in his food. I don't care what anyone says. Xingqiu is a horrible friend. I hate him. Chongyun deserves all of teyvat. Fuck the tsaritsa. Chongyun is the real cryo archon. Or atleast her son or some shit idfk that would be cool. In conclusion, Chongyun is the best character. Xingqiu deserves to die a painful death. And we do not fucking interrupt Chongyun when he gets his screentime.
He was the first claymore char that I ascended, and he is one of my favorite 4☆ I still use him on my overworld team sometimes with mona diona and kazuha
I only build him cause I got a wolfsgravestone
I have all the alternatives, but I still love melt-Chongyun every now and again.
I have a C2 Kazuha, so when I use him, Bennett and C1 Shenhe, the numbers get kinda crazy regardless of the cryo dps I use. Chongyun can even melt his whole burst with the help of Bennett, since he can apply a high pyro gauge! 3 hits also means Shenhe dumps 3 stacks, so it's quite the nuke

Former chongyun main 🥰 he's the only liyue 4* that caught my attention in terms of design so when I got him I immediately mained him after maining traveler. Benched him around low AR50s and the last time I tested him I got him to 115k (one shard) on his ult. Will treasure him forever, I even gave him one crown

I'm a rare Chongyun Main since day one and love seeing videos surrounding Chongyun, especially since he's so overlooked by other Cryo characters! He was my first Level 90 and first character I crowned. Took me a while, but finally hit multiple 139k Melts on his burst! 🥴 Popsicle boi go brrrr 🥶

I've been a Chongyun main since I started the game and he's been in all my team comps! He's such a lifesaver 😭😭😭
He was my first gacha character, I saw him and felt in love…my oldest Son is still today my Cryo Dps. He is the reason Claymore is my favorite weapon in game and on top of that, his visuals are so pleasant to the eye. I remember when he only had one animation the popsicle one, and one day he suddenly starting doing the other one I almost felt out of my chair xD. And it was after I ascended him so I thought I was gonna get more idle animations 😂 So I decided to spent all of my early game days building up this boy…Still waiting for more animations Hoyoverse 😂😂
Everyone saying that chongyun is in those dead last tier, but as a chongyun main from ar5, chongyun help me very much through out the game, his kit is simple and very easily to use, his damage is pretty good tho, i managed to have 10k per hit with his normal attack at ar35 (full buff), i'm ar57 now and i'm still use him, he's FUN
chongyun was my first ever main in genshin and seeing him being used makes me happy (even though im personally not using him at this point in time)
i want to build him again because of this video, maybe i should do it 🤔

i used to be a chongyun main from low ar to around ar 50 because when i first started, one of the first 4 stars i got was chongyun. he carried me through most of my genshin experience and i grew fond of his character because of that ^^ seeing this video makes me so nostalgic of back when i still mained chongyun that i might consider rebuilding him again!

As a chongyun main, I can agree my boy chonguss is rlly underrated and needs some love
Even though I'm Ayaka/Ayato main, which are characters known for high damage, my favorites 4 star are Thoma and Chongyun, and I really believe that Chongyun can be extremely strong even with F2P characters (I've seen him doing 30K per hit in burst with Amber/Sucrose/Bennett).
Anyway, great video! And excellent choice in songs (bring more Xenoblade 3 OST!)

It's kinda good thing that Cryo doesn't react with Dendro cuz you can do double reaction like consistent reverse melt with burning reaction.
Started Genshin about a month ago, been using Xiangling since I got her.. all I wanted was Chongyun and Hu Tao. Pulled Xingqiu today and realized I'm going to make the Liyue exclusive team. Halfway there, Chongie will be mine! Sweet video
So as ps4 player,its seems that you are having the same problem as me,the enemy in abyss take times to spawn and your time is going down. From my experience after the enemy spawn you have to reset the chamber again,it would take little bit faster time to spawn them and keep moving around the area where they spawned,if you dont move it will take a very long time for them to spawn,idk why its like this but i hope it helps you getting more good time in abyss :)

the way i'm a chongyun main since release, solely bc he was one of the first characters i pulled and liked & i don't think i've gone a day playing without him, even with all my 5*'s there's something so satisfying with his after skill hits from cons even if i'm turned away to hit another enemy. at the end of the day, his playstyle fits me well, & he's my fave to use on dailies esp in mondstadt. the og national team carried me in those early days when i refused to pay for the game, and honestly? sometimes still does carry me.

yo, as same fellow chongyun main at the start of the game this quite make me happy. yes chongyun not really got in the meta now but man...... he teach me the basic mechanic in the game. from that quarduple burst melt, ICD, rotation and elemental gauge. yes, he maybe not the best in the game but he the best for me to teach about reaction.

I was Chungyun main. And I can tell the boy can deal insane damage if we have enough Pyro applicators for him. Unfortunately, we keep missing out his reverse melt on burst because of there is not enough Pyro to infuse.
iirc amber ult has no icd right? so her ult can triple melt chongyun ult?

Chongyun was my main back in 2020 when I first started playing Genshin, I just thought he was the coolest amongst the characters I had. I eventually got Xiao and Zhongli so I stopped using him and then stopped playing the game altogether, but I kinda wanna get back into it and use Chongyun again

Fellow C6 Chongyun Main here. I’m still working on a good build (Currently damage is good), but I’m still having fun with our wholesome Cryo Boi. Let’s just hope he gets plenty of screen time for this year’s Lantern Rite in The Exquisite Night Chimes.

I hate the moment I got Ayaka. I was so hyped to get Shenhe to boost my Chongyun's dmg, then she just pulled up off 20 pulls on her banner.
My boy didn't feel like he beat Ayaka in any category outside of drip and my personal bias which hurts. Note to all main DPS Chongyun players: Avoid Ayaka banners like the plague. Don't end up like me.
