I wish mine behaved as well as yours! Mine is almost 2 and from 8 weeks he hated being brushed. He gets SO dramatic about it as well where he will stand on his hind legs with his front paws around my neck and he buries his face in my neck and whimpers. I don’t give up but every day is an ordeal.

Why does he has so red toes? Do they walk in pee or chew the toes?

Yes he’s a foot chewer! A bad habit he does it at night when he’s going off to sleep.definitely not pee!

I guess these dogs never go properly out to the park / lake etc. just to show off for their owners. Poor dogs!

Hi I have a black and white havenese. He has been cut but I want to grow his coat. Any suggestions for a naughty boy who loves to lie in dirt and become very dirty

Yes bath weekly - if the coat becomes dirty it is much harder to manage, a clean coat is easier to stay on top of.

Hi. I want my Havanese to have a full coat but should I be trimming any of the hair around his eyes? He is only 9 months old so it is only just long enough to have a bunch but a lot of it is still in his eyes.

That’s up to you whether you want to trim eyes or not, once trimmed though you have to keep doing it. I would recommend using a little hair wax and sticking it down until it grows length and will drop itself into place rather than stick up.

If they are matted, is there a detangling spray you can recommend? We have a 1 yr old havi and are struggling with matts. We’ve never had a dog with her type of hair before; our corgi is pretty course haired.

Cowboy magic is good, any detangler is fine tbh, I think it’s more likely you are dealing with coat change at 1 year old so you have to persevere, things will improve!

My 5 month Milo has teeny tiny knots on his mustache near his nose. I believe this was from a particularly messy treat he was given that was white. His muzzle is white so I did not notice until bathing and drying him today. I got a couple knots out, but gave him a break because I am still training him to be good about grooming and didn't want to have a bad memory. Do you have any suggestions for working these tiny knots out? They are about the size of a small ladybug. :-)

I think I replied to the other comment but just in case, use the scissor technique to break them up being very careful with scissors around the mouth area, then get a very fine comb (a cat comb is best) to brush them out.

Hold the ear and don’t brush without supporting the hair so that the dog doesn’t feel any rugs as they are very sensitive.

Excellent video. Thanks for the links to the tools you use. Could you advise where you got the purple nonslip mat for the grooming table please.
