Hello there, I really enjoyed your video on teeth cleaning - I’ve just ordered some Dorwest, it looks like a great daily option, we already use the Emmipet ultrasonic but as you say its time consuming.
May I also suggest a product you may find helpful for tear stains - its so quick & easy I use it on our 4year old Havanese Coco - Alcon opti-free pure moist its in a 300ml bottle that lasts us over a year. Our breeder recommended this to us and I have used it after every bath on Coco and we have never had tear stains.
Basically after giving Coco her bath I wrap her in her big fluffy towel and have her head poking out, I then apply/drip the solution on the area where tear stains would normally form (avoiding the actual eye) going right down to include her moustache to get any potential discolouration/bacteria etc from her food, then gently give it a quick massage/rub to make sure all her hair is covered with the solution. I then let the product sit while we have some post bath cuddle time. I dont rinse the product out I just dry Coco as normal & do a brush out - that’s it - its so quick and simple, basically it done in less than 30 seconds!

Thanks - just looked it up so may give it a try, as it’s a contact lens solution it will be the boric acid in it that’s the active ingredient for tear stains.

@@allthingshavanese9601 all I can say is its bloody marvellous stuff! So quick & easy and we have never had any any tear/moustache/beard stains.
I had the Dorwest arrive last week & I’ve started using it - it’s certainly faster than the Emmipet!

Thank you for all your videos. I have my first Havanese after 4 Cavaliers and your Grooming advice was just what I was looking for. 👍

I'm on a well that has a lot of minerals in it. I started filtering my Havanese puppy's drinking water and this has helped reduce staining. Also his teething was causing him to tear up more, too. By the way, really love your vids, glad I found you. I'm a bit mystified you don't have more subscribers! But then, Havanese aren't a really prevalent breed, either. For all the attention they get when you go out with them, you'd think they'd be more popular!

My breeder says feeding lamb instead of chicken prevents tear staining.

Tear staining is caused by allergies. As soon as i found out what food/treats (mainly treats with dyes in them cause eye staining) my dogs eye staining stopped. Never returned.

@@NorikoLondon What about Europe? Probably optimistic, in Slovenia? I found it in Germany, but they don't send it to Slovenia. From the UK and US postage is more than the product itself 🤭
