Hello Matt Alex, Thanks for your nice comment. In basic the sounds of the Pa1000 are the same as the Pa4X, but the Pa4X has two insert-effects per sound instead of one in the Pa1000, it has the streaming-sound-technoligy, and the converters are from a better quality which make the whole keyboard sounds a little better then the Pa1000. If it's worth the extra money that's for everybody a personal question I guess. As a second keyboard beside the Genos I should go for the Pa4X. Greetings,... Wicky. 😊🎹👋

Hello FYP, Yamaha PSR SX900 vs. Korg Pa1000,... I think it's just a matter of taste. In my opinion the Pa1000 is a bit more professional (like built-in powersupply, touchscreen, sampler, double song-player etc) then the PSR SX900 but they are both very nice keyboards. Both are great, If you are an experience user in music arrangement and tuning, PA1000 will give you more freedom. Or else go for SX900 for simplicity and better voices out of the box.
The semi weighted keys of the KORG Pa-1000 and touch response are much better than Yamaha SX-900, plus the sound quality in KORG sounds more natural for Stage and Live Playing.
Korg pa1000 is undoubtedly a great arranger keyboard and for me its force points are the quality of acoustic piano voices, really superb, church organs and acoustic guitar. For my personal opinion the sax voices are to made better. Marvelous instrument, however.....
To me this doesn't sound much better than similar keys of a decade or more ago. Not enough outstanding elements to lift it up beyond 'OK'. With standards of multilayered samples offered to us, I would expect similar authenticity in recreating virtual instruments. Even some recent modelled instruments outweigh those presented here. About time for a complete overhaul, methinks.
In the group "home-keyboards under 2000,- euro" the Korg Pa1000 belongs to the top. Maybe you're comparing it with keyboards like Yamaha Montage or Korg Kronos, which is a totally different range.
@@doctorkeys9897 Surely the 'fairest' direct comparison would be Yamaha PSRX flagship? I'm much more impressed with the level of competent style arrangements. The Korg sounds a little robotic to me, and lacking in realism in some aspects. There will always be a level of 'cheesy' for this kind of instrument until the ceiling is broken and sounds are brought up to authenticity levels we are just not seeing yet. When I think back to machines like the Roland XPs; they had great sounding virtual and modelled sounds. We are 30 years on, and incrementally not seeing a big enough improvement. I stick to my feeling that a totally new approach needs to happen for the home keyboard market.
@@wyshwood I totally agree with you when it comes to the Roland XP synths,... they where sounding great for that time. If it comes to the "robotic" sound of the Pa1000,... I guess it's my way of playing. Dommage que la majorité des sons chez Korg par rapport à Roland ont un son plastique peu convaincant par rapport à un véritable son d'instruments classiques, mis à part le piano.

Stop saying the competitor keyboards r suck if you are the owner of SX900. PA1000 is a great keyboard too just the matter of which keyboard you are more familiar with. I'm the SX900 owner too and wish one day I can try the PA1000.
@@doctorkeys9897 Luckily for me, the difference between the PSR S910 and the SX900 is obvious, as a professional, but the very fact that the earlier Yamahas sound even better in some ways than the PA1000. This can be heard very well on the example of brass, guitars, violins, etc. The same Alt and Tenor saxophones sounded like the PA1000 back in 2003 with the YAMAHA PSR 2100.
@@vovchiklautar1951 You're raving, buddy. I bought these yamaha sx 900. before that I had a tyros 2, s 775, s950. This Yamaha SX 900 doesn't sound much better than the S950. some of the drum kits are a bit revised (revo drum) which he picked doesn't sound as good as on Genos. I returned the SX 900 to the store and bought the PA 1000. All my friends noticed the better sound and simply said that the Korg sounds better than my previous instrument.

To me this doesn't sound much better than similar keys of a decade or more ago. Not enough outstanding elements to lift it up beyond 'OK'. With standards of multilayered samples offered to us, I would expect similar authenticity in recreating virtual instruments. Even some recent modelled instruments outweigh those presented here. About time for a complete overhaul, methinks.
In the group "home-keyboards under 2000,- euro" the Korg Pa1000 belongs to the top. Maybe you're comparing it with keyboards like Yamaha Montage or Korg Kronos, which is a totally different range.
@@doctorkeys9897 Surely the 'fairest' direct comparison would be Yamaha PSRX flagship? I'm much more impressed with the level of competent style arrangements. The Korg sounds a little robotic to me, and lacking in realism in some aspects. There will always be a level of 'cheesy' for this kind of instrument until the ceiling is broken and sounds are brought up to authenticity levels we are just not seeing yet. When I think back to machines like the Roland XPs; they had great sounding virtual and modelled sounds. We are 30 years on, and incrementally not seeing a big enough improvement. I stick to my feeling that a totally new approach needs to happen for the home keyboard market.
@@wyshwood I totally agree with you when it comes to the Roland XP synths,... they where sounding great for that time. If it comes to the "robotic" sound of the Pa1000,... I guess it's my way of playing. I'm not a good keyboardplayer so I guess when I'm playing on that Yamaha PSR X keyboard it would also sound like a robot! 😂

🛴ЧТО КОРГ ПА 500 стили и сами звуки матрицв,.. что КОРГ ПА1000 таже матрица звуков обработки и стили машинки звучания. А цена разная. КОРГ ПА 500 цена от 45 000 руб за б.у. Так что КОРГ ПА2Х начинает меняться в звуках только.🌐

Stop saying the competitor keyboards r suck if you are the owner of SX900. PA1000 is a great keyboard too just the matter of which keyboard you are more familiar with.
I'm the SX900 owner too and wish one day I can try the PA1000.

In my opinion a $ 1,700 synthesizer that doesn't sound much better than the Yamaha PSR-S910 released around 2010!
Even the latest Yamaha PSR-SX keyboard doesn't sound much better then the PSR-S910 in my opinion. 😂😂😂

@@doctorkeys9897 Luckily for me, the difference between the PSR S910 and the SX900 is obvious, as a professional, but the very fact that the earlier Yamahas sound even better in some ways than the PA1000. This can be heard very well on the example of brass, guitars, violins, etc. The same Alt and Tenor saxophones sounded like the PA1000 back in 2003 with the YAMAHA PSR 2100.
@@vovchiklautar1951 You're raving, buddy. I bought these yamaha sx 900. before that I had a tyros 2, s 775, s950. This Yamaha SX 900 doesn't sound much better than the S950. some of the drum kits are a bit revised (revo drum) which he picked doesn't sound as good as on Genos. I returned the SX 900 to the store and bought the PA 1000. All my friends noticed the better sound and simply said that the Korg sounds better than my previous instrument.
@@hajduk77 I am trying to understand the sound. Hearing to the styles in the Korg, it seems that it doesn't sound good as the one in Yamahas. Is it because of his choice of styles or is it like that out of the box and needs customisation?
