There's an Oscars category for Best Costume Design. If you like fashion, you might choose some of your movies from that category. I remember that *Room with a View* has won the category, but that's set in Victorian England, so maybe that's not the right fashion. *Amadeus* is probably worth a watch for you, though, for fashion and movie quality.

They did use Milla's actual height. No need to Apologize, I watch reactions to see how others think about something. It's your right to like or dislike anything.
@ptthatswhatshesaid the other visual thing was the set design. They had Jean-Claude Mézières, a French comic book (or graphic novels) artist, who was quite famous at the time. The whole movie looks like it could be set within the "Valerian" universe - Luc Besson even did an adaptation of those books later on. The main idea was to have the style taken over to the screen. Look at some magazine issues of "Métal Hurlant" (Heavy Metal) to see the reference. And for a really dumb future, watch "Idiocracy".
The comments about clothes were obviously selected by the editor so that the reaction wouldn't seem so negative. These shallow comments are the totality of what Lucy enjoyed about this movie.
@@dumy187 She did really liked the clothes, that's true and I had to put that in, it was too funn! Now, did I thought that would make people who are just looking to see an extremelly positive reaction happy? Not really 😂
Corbin didn't forget the girl during the concert. He had his mission. She wasn't the mission he was given by the military. She was on her own mission of to collect the stones. Corbin was there to connect with the Diva, who was on stage. His interest in finding leeloo was less about the mission and more about her. Shadow is the planet itself. Shadow needed the stones in place as well. If leeloo stands in the middle, humanity is saved, if shadow stands in the middle, humanity dies.
I think that this reaction needs a director's cut. After watching the conclusion, I'm pretty confident that the best parts were excluded by the editor to avoid offending fans of this trashy, trash, garbage movie.
Believe me I don't think I left out many negative things (except maybe many sighs of frustration 😅). The thing is that the last part of the movie is quite fast paced and entertaining (although very stupid and obnoxious)
The Director Also kinda made a sequal-ish, 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' which is set in the same universe......Worth a watch😉 He also made 'Leon' if you guys not seen is👍This was def a, if not the big budget Sci-fi of it's era, all star cast, Jean Paul Gaultier did the costume design etc. Thats how they made the $$$ . It's just an easy watch flick. There are far more important Sci-fi movies...... Andromeda strain, 2001 A space odessey, & Blade runner for a start.... P.s. Have you seen 'Tremor's'?😁 P.p.s. Check out the Actress in the 'Resident Evil' movies
For the channel, we have watched Blade Runner, which we both find to be an interesting movie Leon the professional is one that I really like to be honest! We only realized that Jean Paul Gaultier created the costumes for the film afterwards 😬
Lucy: This doesn't make sense. Congratulations! You got the movie! This is one of those films. It's delightfully stupid. It's entertaining in its badness. Glad you understood.
[49:15] "I hate to be the hater." - No, she doesn't. She _lives_ to be the hater. Over the long term, just no. 👉He's amused by her now, but _this_ _wears_ _on_ _your_ _soul_ . ◽She's not _unable_ to suspend reality for enjoyment's sake. ◾She deliberately refuses to, so she can squelch joy. This is a control ploy, which creates co-dependence, which is unhealthy, _in_ _the_ _long_ _run_ . I don't look for reactors who agree with me. With those folks, I learn less. As a comedy team, these two are great. The reactions are hysterical. But they're not acting. She's not pretending to be an obstreperous contrarian. She are one. This is amusing in the short run, but over time... 🤬♾⇒😵 There is a reason so many observers are posting variants of this comment. We've lived it.
Instead of "obstreperous," I'd say "peevish" (like her namesake, Lucy Honeychurch). I'm horrified that you can find joy in this movie. You're clearly projecting some toxic person from your therapy sessions onto a RUclips reactor who didn't enjoy your favorite movie.
@@dumy187 I agree, "peevish" is more on point, but "obstreperous" makes me sound more annoyingly over-educated and self-absorbed, which is the tone I was going for. "I'm horrified that you can find joy in this movie." - Chris Tucker's performance itself provides enough joy to fill a thousand souls for an eternity. Then there's LeeLoo's entirely unnecessary orange silicon thong, the cosplay accessory only rivaled in popularity by Leia's metal-kini. Plus, we had the joyful benefit of this reactor's abject revulsion, and her hapless partner's glee in watching her distress over a fun scifi movie every non-psychopath "gets" and enjoys the first time, next time, every time. "You're clearly projecting some toxic person from your therapy sessions" - How disappointing. You figured out the "projection" part, but entirely missed that the "some toxic person", is _ME_ . Tsk tsk. I want my ten cents back.
This is French sci-fi. It is kooky and over the top. Rule of Thumb - Brit sci-fi is depressing and goofy, German sci-fi is technical and depressing, Russian sci-fi is just depressing, US sci-fi is technical and hopeful (but frequently apes foreign styles), Japanese sci-fi is fantastical.
So, it happens that this film, and TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, are two of my favorite films. What do I see in them, that makes me enjoy them both? Number One would have to be the overwhelmingly high level of energy present in both films. Both films are very fast-paced, and yet both films have a rhythm that incorporates slow sections at appropriate points. (Creative editing is also a big part of it, though I realize you didn’t care for some of the editorial decisions that were made.) Number two: The first-class imagination(s) involved in the world building. City-scapes, cruise ships, spaceport terminals, weird aliens and creatures, and ingenious inventions (Did you catch the Goggles that Leeloo places against her face, that applies eye makeup instantly? Or the Chinese take-out vehicle that delivers right to your apartment window?) Number three: (The Fifth Element, more than Team America) unashamedly has EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER reduced to a cardboard stereotype (with just enough quirks to engage your interest in them) - Korben is the square-jawed, war-weary, brawny hero; Leeloo is a combo of damsel-in-distress, Female Warrior, and Born-sexy-yesterday Cute Girl; Ruby Rhod is modeled after a blend of Prince and Michael Jackson… (and so on). Number four: The ‘unreality’ is a feature, not a bug. (HOW does the ultimate evil entity gain, by destroying all life on a world? Does the ultimate evil attack other worlds, or only Earth? If it attacks other planets, does it ever succeed? Does the weapon against evil thwart it every five-thousand year cycle - and if so, does it always try again, or does it give up and go away? Never mind - the movie is not concerned; we’re not supposed to ask.) …on the human level, General Monroe meets Korben, describes the mission in about three sentences, then asks him, “Any questions?” Would any real mission briefing go like that? Of course not - and both the writer-director and the audience are aware of that. So the hyper-distortion of oversimplified character-stereotypes, simplified situations and buffoonish exaggeration, is both a novelty and a refreshing change: We don’t WANT TO see everyday people doing everyday things; nor do we want to see situations develop the way they have in many other action/comedy/Sci-Fi films in the past. (There ARE films that attempted the same sort of thing, but failed ...or failed with me, even if they succeeded with others. I’m thinking of the 1986 film “Big Trouble In Little China,” which I only saw for the first time, recently. It, too has goofy characters, but unlike “The Fifth Element,” that film couldn’t get me to care about those characters or what happens to them.) Hope you found this perspective helpful.
It is helpful yes, and I think I agree with your point at the end. There are similar movies that I do enjoy. Not exactly 100% sure why not this one 🤷🏻♂️ especially because we love parodies By the way, I have to also agree and comment on the editing of the movie. I might not always find it funny but it is expertly done nonetheless!
I don't think the problem is non liking a movie. The problem is complaining without analyzing acting, cinematography and so on. And also considering people watching a reaction constantly listening to disliking comments. That's really unlikeable.
The Evil AKA mister Shadow grows in strength when attacked. It Feeds on fear and misery. As more battle and chaos broke out, it gained in power and could then move faster than it could before. It is also a liar and a deceiver. Zorg Was not told he was backing a play for complete destruction of the universe. He was offered power and a chance to profit off of chaos.
One of the text-book examples of the "born sexy yesterday" male-fantasy trope. The other thing is that Luc Besson gave the job of inventing futuristic costumes to famous French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gautier, and let him go wild. That's why there are so many ridiculous and effeminate costumes used, as well as a plethora of un-credited fashion models playing as extras in the film.
PARODY: an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect. Not being familiar with the genre you might not be able to spot the deliberate exaggeration for comic effect and instead ask yourself wtf is this over-the-top shit.
Maybe this one just didn't work that much with us 🤔 because parodies is one of those genres that we apreciate a lot and have plenty of reactions to, for example Airplane, Naked Gun, Top Secret and Hotshots
The reason why you liked the clothes so much is probably because Besson hired Jean Paul Gaultier to design them all . Pity you didn't go into this film understanding that it's very much an action comedy set in space. It's really fun to watch when you're in the right frame of mind and aren't trying to take it too seriously and pick apart the plot.
Might be right about the mindframe, I think I also saw it the first time thinking it was a more serious film. We only realized that the costume design was made by Jean Paul Gaultier after we watched the movie! She was surprised but not surprised if that makes sense xD
I think I do remember reading Somewhere that it was loosely based (or inspires) by some comic books yeah Although I do believe Lucy Besson wrote it from scratch But it does have the feel of a French comic book yeah, read a few of those when I was a kid xD
Don't listen to whiners. I love this movie but I also loved that you didn't because even though you enjoyed it, sci-fi is not your thing, you were honest and said so. Totally fine, people! Stop complaining and criticizing people who don't swoon over every movie you like. Really appreciate and enjoy your content, keep up the good work. Maybe try Topper Returns. Old murder mystery with overflowing comedy. You'll love Eddie.
Sorry, bro. She's too stuck up to be able to sit back and enjoy an old fashion slap stick comedy. All the "over acting" is part of the show. The comedy is really dumbed down so that anyone can understand it.
If you don't understand the man (junky) with the strange weapon at the beginning of the film is trying to save his life against the hero once he understand, you have a problem with this film. Korben Dallas is "superman" , it is said. The first "admiral" has same problem as the junky, too sure about his little weapons. Mr Shadow (evil) is the vilain and Dallas is here to stop him... And Dallas will find Love (fift element) The story is simple but funny.
Perhaps Lucy is approaching sci-fi from the wrong angle and she's trying to make too much sense of them? Maybe instead of science-fiction, call them space-fantasy? I'm glad she enjoyed the Jean-Paul Gaultier clothing at least 😅
I don't know if you have seen the movie 'Galaxy Quest' which is a loving spoof of space type movies and shows. It has Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver among other well know actors. It is a comedy with heart warming interaction of the characters. Since it somewhat makes fun of the genera maybe Lucy will enjoy this take on a sci-fi movie.
This movie tries to make you laugh at sci-fi action movies, its a parody. Trying to follow the "logic" of it all misses the mark entirely. Reveling in the kitsch and absurdity of this type of movies is the point!
I think by the end of the movie, she gave up on trying to make any sense of it and we could just enjoy making fun of it 😅 The movie is quite absurd but also obnoxious in a way! But comedy is something very subjective, I get it
I’m sorry she didn’t like it. I thought the movie was very imaginative and the actors did a great job. Yes you have to suspend logic a little and possibly it’s just not for her. It’s ok to disagree.🤷🏻♂️. Don’t worry, I still love you two.🥰

Don't watch a movie that you are not going to like from the start!!! I was in high school, and I was able to understand the movie and it was a great movie!!
How dare you say those things about the greatest thing in the world, which is "Lazy town"? ;) I like the movie, because it's over the top. It's like the comic books I've read when I was a kid, especially "Funky Koval", "Rork" or "Yans" (or "Hans"). The plot isn't complicated, so the visuals have to compensate it.
I still think the "Fakest" bit of the movie, is that it takes her alllll the way to W for War before she decides humanity isn't worth saving. G is for Genocide, and that's just off the top my head.
This is not a chronicle, this is a myth. It does not matter how she came to this decision. They could have shown the The Green Mile scene (how she senses people's hatred for each other), they could have shown... anything. It makes no difference. *_What is important is that she came to exactly this decision._* Or do you believe that in the 23rd century people still smoke and use matches? I heard Bruce Willis asked Luc Besson something like that that. And Luc replied: f[censored] you, Bruce. P.s.: love is not an element. Love is a symbol of connection and interaction that *_literally creates everything_* from individual elements. No fiction, just physics... in the form of a myth ;)
I love you guys, but if she hates sci-fi why do you keep making her watch scifi? I just finished your Star Wars reaction and it's uncomfortable to watch because she dislikes it so much. There are plenty of other films and genres to watch, watch something that she enjoys.
Lately she didn't enjoy the sci-fi movies I showed her, but likes quite a lot other sci-fi movies in the past (Alien, Terminator, Predator, Blade Runner). Otherwise we are watching a lot of courtroom dramas, which she loves 😋
I really wanted to enjoy this movie, but I was too busy wanting to throw Ruby Rhod out the air lock! 😡 Special applause for Ian Holm (Vito Cornelius), who has also played Ash in "Alien" and Bilbo Baggins. 👍👍
@@ptthatswhatshesaid There's a whole branch of comedy predicated upon obnoxiousness being funny, and I dispute the idea on the most fundamental of levels.
This and other movies work as a piece of cinema history related to historic context. A lot of the contents of the movie cannot work if you don't know most of the other movies in the genere that came before it. Obviously Star wars is a parting point if inspiration for this movie. Then for production design you have to understand the work done in Blade Runner 1982 You would have to be familiar with a ton of cultural tropes that plaggued the Sci-Fi genere in the 80's after Star Wars itself Mixed with the parodied action movies from Bruce Willis, the contemporary comedy from Chris Tucker. It was such a bold mixture when it was released and that mixture was done skillfully by director and editor, that is why it became a success. But alas, indeed, it is very difficult to understand the value of the movie without referencing so many other works before it.
the best SF movie thats much better than this is "interstellar", please also watch "the substance" which IMO is the best movie in several years. THANKS!!.
The movie is stupid and annoying. I came out of the theater at the time the same way. However, it has grown on me over time. Yet, the fact is, she smiled and laughed more than most movies, so it sure looked she enjoyed it. But, yes, I think it brings out this conflicted response a lot. But, the fanatics are fanatical -- they like the style mostly, I think.
This movie was supposed to be ridiculous. I totally understand why you did not like it. You like movies that stimulate your intellect. For comparison, you should watch a little of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes which was filmed as a serious horror movie and considered to be the worst movie ever made. Just don't plan to react to it.
Yes, it was entertaining! And infuriating for her 😂 The second Star Wars movie while was a bit of a different experience for her I would say, since the first one was introducing the characters and now they are already estabilished
@ptthatswhatshesaid lol right on! I personally love all the Star wars movies, old and new! All 9 films have their ups and downs but I enjoy them all! Plus Rogue one imo is the best side story they've made so far! She might enjoy The Mandalorian cause it's got that Firefly vibe! Space/Western!
The golden fabric seems to be insulation, nothing more, no need for it to be stronger. French designer Jean-Paul Gauthier designed the costumes. No wonder it's as nonsensical as it seems... Leeloo put the taxi sticker/doorbell on the other's door... that's why the cops followed the wrong trail (and the Mangalore warriors too). Not Hawaï, Tahiti would be more appropriate as an inspiration, it's still part of French territories, more or less. Lucy, the screenplay is very smplistic and isn't there to praise your intelligence. Luc Besson is not the most intellectual of directors or writers. And it's supposed to be fun, period. I like it for what it is but it's not in my favorite movies by any means... In terms of special effects, you haven't seen the 97 version of Jabba, you saw the 2005 re remaster in SW Ep4. The 97 version was atrocious !!!

Your wife will love Joss Whedon's "Serenity", "Empire Strikes Back", and "Back to the Future".
Only need to show her Back to the Future, the other 2 we just saw. She did enjoy Serenity and The Empire Strikes Back
Corbin didn't forget the girl during the concert.
Ok, NOW I understand the "psycho" label. Good luck, dude....
They just got married. 😄
Thank you! 🤗
Turns out Eric Serra is French. I know some Serra's that are Italian, so we can add them to the list.
Ok yes, italian fits the profile as well 😜
The Director Also kinda made a sequal-ish, 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' which is set in the same universe......Worth a watch😉
He also made 'Leon' if you guys not seen is👍This was def a, if not the big budget Sci-fi of it's era, all star cast, Jean Paul Gaultier did the costume design etc. Thats how they made the $$$ . It's just an easy watch flick. There are far more important Sci-fi movies......
Andromeda strain, 2001 A space odessey, & Blade runner for a start....
P.s. Have you seen 'Tremor's'?😁
P.p.s. Check out the Actress in the 'Resident Evil' movies
For the channel, we have watched Blade Runner, which we both find to be an interesting movie
Leon the professional is one that I really like to be honest!

◾She deliberately refuses to, so she can squelch joy.

I don't look for reactors who agree with me. With those folks, I learn less. As a comedy team, these two are great. The reactions are hysterical. But they're not acting.
She's not pretending to be an obstreperous contrarian.
She are one.
This is amusing in the short run, but over time...
🤬♾⇒😵
There is a reason so many observers are posting variants of this comment.
You figured out the "projection" part, but entirely missed that the "some toxic person",

Tsk tsk.
I want my ten cents back.
@@3rdOption-l9t, I'll give you Chris Tucker.
Try to switch off and enjoy the film for what it is, a fun film. How would you do with Valerian, also by Luc Besson?
Seen that one when it came out in theaters. I suspect she would have a very similar reaction to that one 😅
@@ptthatswhatshesaid OMG, she's too cynical...
@@iainmulholland2025 quite a bit!
Hmmm 🤔 very interesting
Thank you!
The movie is entertaining, but as soon you activate the logic part of the brain, you have reappearing questions
WTF? WHY?
Constantly yeah 😂
So, it happens that this film, and TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE, are two of my favorite films. What do I see in them, that makes me enjoy them both?
Number One would have to be the overwhelmingly high level of energy present in both films. Both films are very fast-paced, and yet both films have a rhythm that incorporates slow sections at appropriate points. (Creative editing is also a big part of it, though I realize you didn’t care for some of the editorial decisions that were made.)
Number two: The first-class imagination(s) involved in the world building. City-scapes, cruise ships, spaceport terminals, weird aliens and creatures, and ingenious inventions (Did you catch the Goggles that Leeloo places against her face, that applies eye makeup instantly? Or the Chinese take-out vehicle that delivers right to your apartment window?)
Number three: (The Fifth Element, more than Team America) unashamedly has EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER reduced to a cardboard stereotype (with just enough quirks to engage your interest in them) - Korben is the square-jawed, war-weary, brawny hero; Leeloo is a combo of damsel-in-distress, Female Warrior, and Born-sexy-yesterday Cute Girl; Ruby Rhod is modeled after a blend of Prince and Michael Jackson… (and so on).
Never mind - the movie is not concerned; we’re not supposed to ask.)
…on the human level, General Monroe meets Korben, describes the mission in about three sentences, then asks him, “Any questions?” Would any real mission briefing go like that?
It, too has goofy characters, but unlike “The Fifth Element,” that film couldn’t get me to care about those characters or what happens to them.)
Hope you found this perspective helpful.
It is helpful yes, and I think I agree with your point at the end. There are similar movies that I do enjoy. Not exactly 100% sure why not this one 🤷🏻♂️ especially because we love parodies
By the way, I have to also agree and comment on the editing of the movie. I might not always find it funny but it is expertly done nonetheless!
I don't think the problem is non liking a movie. The problem is complaining without analyzing acting, cinematography and so on.
And also considering people watching a reaction constantly listening to disliking comments. That's really unlikeable.
only had this movie on VHS back in the days :D this is really nice quality
The priest Cornelius also played Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
It's an utterly absurd guilty pleasure for me. I enjoy its many creative choices.
I totally get it, I have many absurd movies that are total guilty pleasures for me 😋
This is a French comic book in movie form.
I think I do remember reading Somewhere that it was loosely based (or inspires) by some comic books yeah
Although I do believe Lucy Besson wrote it from scratch
But it does have the feel of a French comic book yeah, read a few of those when I was a kid xD
@@ptthatswhatshesaid watch the DVD special features.
Comedy is subjective -- for me the movie hits -- I like it, I like it A LOT . . . . :-)
( But please, stop apologizing for not liking certain films )
I do have my share of movies and shows that I found hilarious and that a lot of people cannot stand xD yes, comedy is very subjective
Jean Paul Gaultier was the costume designer, for what it's worth.
Yes! We discovered it afterwards 😅
Murder mystery with comedy? That's great!
Will Firefly get posted here? Will you watch Serenity as well?
Hey there !
Firefly is Patreon exclusive at the moment, as well as Serenity. Both the full show and movie are available on Patreon ☺️
Xx Lucy
@ cool, thanks for the response
And Dallas will find Love (fift element)
The story is simple but funny.
Perhaps Lucy is approaching sci-fi from the wrong angle and she's trying to make too much sense of them? Maybe instead of science-fiction, call them space-fantasy?
I'm glad she enjoyed the Jean-Paul Gaultier clothing at least 😅
A valid point yes, more serious sci-fi is a very different thing
She did loved the clothes yeah! 😂
yey im excited to watch thanks you guys
Thank you! 🤗
Beautiful Lucy, if you don't like lemons, don't drink the lemonade.
Here I can be blamed, since Im the one forcing her to drink it 😂😂
9:11 Omg, it's the she from that's what she said! She's going to like this one. Hopefully it's not too long for her liking. ;)
Ahahah well guess that the length was not her problem with this one 😬
I don't know if you have seen the movie 'Galaxy Quest' which is a loving spoof of space type movies and shows. It has Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver among other well know actors. It is a comedy with heart warming interaction of the characters. Since it somewhat makes fun of the genera maybe Lucy will enjoy this take on a sci-fi movie.
Yes, she might really enjoy it :) I've seen it many years ago, and remember liking it
This movie tries to make you laugh at sci-fi action movies, its a parody. Trying to follow the "logic" of it all misses the mark entirely. Reveling in the kitsch and absurdity of this type of movies is the point!
I think by the end of the movie, she gave up on trying to make any sense of it and we could just enjoy making fun of it 😅
The movie is quite absurd but also obnoxious in a way! But comedy is something very subjective, I get it
I’m sorry she didn’t like it. I thought the movie was very imaginative and the actors did a great job. Yes you have to suspend logic a little and possibly it’s just not for her. It’s ok to disagree.🤷🏻♂️. Don’t worry, I still love you two.🥰
Thank you ☺️
We just tought that it made sense to also put forward stuff that we don't necessarily like, we do try to make it entertaining though! 😂
And this movie is very unique indeed 😅
Don't watch a movie that you are not going to like from the start!!! I was in high school, and I was able to understand the movie and it was a great movie!!
This is just a tale, French style
I enjoy this movie a lot. But Luc Besson wrote the story when he was in high school, and it is full of logical inconsistencies.
But I do get it that comedy is very subjective, I do have a lot of gulity pleasures myself that entertain me a lot while I can see their flaws 😅
@@ptthatswhatshesaid Yup. And again, if you want to watch a comedy that Lucy will like, watch 50 First Dates.
I better buckle up for this one I think!
How dare you say those things about the greatest thing in the world, which is "Lazy town"? ;) I like the movie, because it's over the top. It's like the comic books I've read when I was a kid, especially "Funky Koval", "Rork" or "Yans" (or "Hans"). The plot isn't complicated, so the visuals have to compensate it.
seriously, there are sci-fi movies with writing that will entertain her brain, like "Coherence", "Source Code”, “Tenet”, “Looper”...
Of course, Tenet and Interstellar are 2 of her favourite movies for instance.
Thankfully she does not hate all sci-fi 🙏🏻😅
7:58 At the time it was the most expensive European film ever made.
She is so right about this movie, but why I still like this movie.
Special applause for Ian Holm (Vito Cornelius), who has also played Ash in "Alien" and Bilbo Baggins. 👍👍
If it helps, I'll hold the airlock door open for you.
He is so, so loud... 😖
@@ptthatswhatshesaid There's a whole branch of comedy predicated upon obnoxiousness being funny, and I dispute the idea on the most fundamental of levels.
There are moview that respect science fiction and those that think its a joke.
I love this movie.
This and other movies work as a piece of cinema history related to historic context.
A lot of the contents of the movie cannot work if you don't know most of the other movies in the genere that came before it.
Obviously Star wars is a parting point if inspiration for this movie.
Then for production design you have to understand the work done in Blade Runner 1982
You would have to be familiar with a ton of cultural tropes that plaggued the Sci-Fi genere in the 80's after Star Wars itself
Mixed with the parodied action movies from Bruce Willis, the contemporary comedy from Chris Tucker.
It was such a bold mixture when it was released and that mixture was done skillfully by director and editor, that is why it became a success.
But alas, indeed, it is very difficult to understand the value of the movie without referencing so many other works before it.
Well...on the plus side, Lucy got to see some clothes fashions that she liked.
😬😬😬 yeah, guess that is a positive 🫣

But, the fanatics are fanatical -- they like the style mostly, I think.

Trying to nitpick a cheesy movie is pointless. The pure evil contacted Zorg to get the stones.
