My name is Grace Koppenhofer, I have sang their songs for VFW Post 2093 on Karaoke night. I Love thos group and the Deep voice and humor Harold gave us.
Prayers to the family I grew up on the statler brothers and have always been the biggest fan of Mr. HAROLD as I also sing bass his delivery was amazing you will be missed
Grew up with their music. Will never forget the wonderful base voice of this man. Not only was he so talented with his voice but he was a very lovely man. His sense of humor lifted me in many many times in my life. Than you Mr Reid for many wonderful memories.
My childhood was filled with music from The Statler Brothers. I loved this group and they have played a big part in being the soundtrack to my life. I used "My Only Love" in my wedding in 1999. My Daddy passed away when I was 26. Their music helped me through. It wasn't only their gospel songs though. My Daddy and I both shared a love for their work and even went to three concerts. The last one was in 2004 just over a year before my Daddy's death. I'm so grateful for the memories they have helped me create with my loved ones. They will always be top-notch in my book. R.I.P.
One of the all time Great voices.. eminating from one of the all time Great people .. in one of the Greatest vocal groups of all time.. having lived a life which was a perfect home run. Won't see the likes of this gentleman pass this way again.
I have always loved the Statler Brothers since my childhood. Harold always made me laugh at his comedy. The world is a little more lonely today without him. I will miss you, Harold, but I look forward to seeing you again when the Lord calls me home some day.
Saw 3 of the Statler Brothers with June & Johnny here in my hometown of Port Huron, MI in '64 or '65. One Brother was at home with his wife as she gave birth to one of their children. Loved the show and am always blown away by Lew's genius creation, "Flowers on the Wall." The song had been on my mind for several days recently, so I googled it over & over. So Harold's passing was even more of a sad shock. What a wonderful, giving entertaining man. I will be playing Jimmy Fortune's "Jordan River" song a few times for sure in the coming days. R.I.P., Harold, and Thank You for sharing that voice and all that you've given us. 💗
I grew up listening to this group every Sunday morning. My parents put records on and Starker Brothers was the first to play. My prayers go out to his family may he soar with the Angels
My Mom loved the Statler Brothers and thought Harold was truly the cats meow. I am sure that she was standing right next to Lew to welcome him home. Thanks to my mom, I have seen the Statler Brothers live at least 10 times and each concert was a complete joy. Their music, especially their gospel music, is irreplaceable. RIP Harold.
Grew up listening to the Statler Bros...loved the "Lester Roadhog" stuff especially.. All their songs were classics & their TV series on TNN was great. God bless Harolds family. RIP....what a class act & terrific entertainer.
Very much enjoyed the Statler Brothers music... all of it! Harold Reid's deep rich voice contributed a special element that made this group unique. Thank-you Mr Reid for sharing your talent and presence to many... R.I.P. YOU WILL BE MISSED BY THOSE WHO KNEW YOU AND SO MANY WHO KNEW OF YOU....
My Statlers! I will always love these men, first introduced to me by my dear dad! My last date with my dad was to see these men in concert. God bless his family, friends, and fans.
I love the Statler Brothers my favorite is Noah Found Grace , I walk with Music each morning when it isnt raining and love to have this group on my ipod along with Alan Jackson. This is so sad a world of people will miss him.
I will never forget his humor, it was so spontaneous. I and my late husband used to love dancing to their music, however we loved the hymns the group sang, they were our favorites. They don't make his kind any more, I will miss him. Blessing
I grew up listening to The Statlers & love their music. Harold seemed like such a big teddy bear; you just wanted to hug him. Sing with the angels now, sweet man.

Seen the Statlers, some 40/45 years ago more than once at Little Nashville Opry, Nashville,Indiana. Harold sat on the stage after the wonderful show along with Don, Lew and Phil. These guys were so friendly and funny. Harold, we're going to miss you terribly. RIP, wonderful man. May God Bless and comfort your whole family, friends and us fans who love you. I have many cassettes to listen to your beautiful bass voice. Even still have some old 8 tracks. Loved you all Statlers and your final show CD. Love, Helen

I was sad to hear this. I've always loved their music. I don't know if the rest of the fellows would remember but I remember many years ago they came to a little town in northwest Ontario called Ear Falls. I was so happy to see them in person. His deep voice will always be remembered. My condolences to everyone who knew him
Rest In Peace Harold Reid, My Sincerest Condolences to his entire family and dear friends. He will be remembered always by me. I loved The Statler Brothers music wonderful memories when life was simpler. Elly
I have been addicted to the Statler Brothers since I saw them perform with Johnny Cash at the Syracuse N.Y Fair in the very early 70's. Their music brought me through a divorce in 1970, using the gospel music to "regroup". To this day I watch them on RUclips and want their version of Amazing Grace, with Jimmy doing the solo, played at my last party. Good bye Harold and RIP, love you all.
So very sad to hear of Harold's passing. I've loved the Statler Brothers for a long long time. What great role models to grow up to. These guys never changed who they were and that's awesome. Loved Harold's humor and what a heart for his fans he had. I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert 3 years before they retired. Have all their albums and have heard every one. My deepest wishes go out to his family and friends. I know Harold is in Glory now so let our sadness turn to joy because those of us who are saved dont mourn as those who have no hope for we know we shall be reunited in that great and glorious day. So with that thought in mind, as Harold used to say "We ain't even started yet!" Miss you Harold! P.S. say hey to Lew for us!
So said to hear of Harold's Passing , I been a huge fan of The Statler Brother's all my life , will pay tribute to him tonight at The Station Rockin' Round The clock Radio, prayers for friends & Family from Dory & The Rockin' Dj's

Harold Reid was the one who the song "The Class of 57" was written about I grieve for all who loved him, friends family and fans. If you don't know anything about them, RUclips has a clip of them singing "The Statler Brothers Quiz". Now Harold walks the Streets of Heaven with the Lord and Savior he believed in. I believe that Lew DeWitt is beside him too. Rest in Peace and Love.
I was sad to hear of Harold graduating to the choir in Heaven, but he will join a great group of basses there. I have always loved the Statlers, particularly Harold’s booming bass. Not to mention his comedic antics. Harold, we will miss you, we love you. God bless.
The genuine goodness and decency of this talented man was very much in evidence in all performances, he was funny. a great singer, and very much loved by everyone. What a loss to the world of country music and to friends and family. They were my favorite group bar none
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and with the Statler brother who lost a great friend and brother ..R.I.P Harold Reid you will always be loved
May he rest in peace. Love to hear the Statler's Brothers songs. May God give his family strength and peace to get through this loss of their family member
To the Reid family, I am heart sick to hear Mr. Reid, has passed. I always enjoyed him so much, he was like that friend you just can't wait to see. I have never figured out however, if he was a singer who told jokes, or a comedian who sang because he is on the list of all time greats as both a singer and comic. I hope there are no sections in Heaven, because not even GOD would know which section to put him in. I know there are few words, if any that can make your journey through this time of grief easier, but as a 70 yr. old, I have taken that same journey many times and this is what helped me. I always think of those that pass as moving out of town to a place without phone or postal service, a place I will move to one day. I have a lot of family and friends there, and there are a lot of famous folks I can't wait to meet, and Mr. Reid is at the top of that list. He is there singing and having a blast with his fellow "brother" Lew and Mr. Cash. He just left on an extend road show, and I know he can't wait for you to join him for the rest of the tour. God bless you all, and the Statler brothers, thanks for sharing him with us.
Got to see them at Tombstone Junction when I was a kid. They were all so nice and friendly. They would talk to people in the crowd between songs and Harold would joke and cut up with people. Real honest to goodness down to earth guys. Still have the autographed picture I got that day. Have always been a big fan of theirs. So sad to hear of Harold's passing. There'll never be another like him. My condolences and prayers to all his family, friends and fans. God Bless you all.
May you sing with the angels in Heaven and tell some great jokes to Jesus. Your and your group gave my ears a soothing blessing and my funny bone many laughs. No one will ever replace you.
Everyone talks about Harold's comedic side (admittedly, he was a joker), but he could also hit you right in the heart. Take a listen to his recitation in "I Saw Your Picture In The Paper" for a really good example. Goodbye, Harold. We love and miss you.
Harold Reid of Statler Brothers has died and that is another loss to the Country Music world. He was a good singer along with be a funny, humorous personality. To the family and friends of Harold Reid, my heart and prayers are with you as you celebrate and remember his life and career. As I am posting this, I feel your pain, but know that he left an indelible legacy in gospel and country music which many fans will never forget.
