That’s true,alots of people asking me about this,I said it’s not that so simple,u need ielts test,background check,experience min.3 years and for sure you can speak english. And provide place to stay,I don’t think so,cuz now leaving cost is very expensive too.
Under the current caregiver program there is no protection for the Canadian Employers. The employers who are working round the clock to bring a caregiver has no protection. The caregivers should be brought in temporary work permit and sent back or give PR after 10 years after they contribute to Canada but not award them with PR as soon as they land. Otherwise the lack of workers in this field will never be fulfilled. Many people from poor countries like Philippines are waiting eagerly to come even with low wages, because the money they get is huge compared to any third world countries. Awarding caregivers with PR as soon as they land leaves the Canadian employers vulnerable.This free rewards with PR to caregivers/home support workers at the cost of the employers has to stop.

Now simplify the Permanent Residency process for existing caregivers who are already in Canada with caregiver experience so that they can have status as well, God knows they are deserving of profiting from this long overdue change the most. That's literally the only fair way to go about it. I'm Indigenous and my HUSBAND couldn't even get PR that easily. Get real, resign before there's nothing left of Canada!!!
If you want to come to Canada, make sure you have the money to pay for your housing. There's a low supply of housing in Canada, and it's expensive.

The most rediculous standard to lower the language requirement. Carers need to speak english. Their clients are majority english.
