For those who are confused on how the halfway break works when we discuss gaining track position when we got the flat (lap 100) see a copy of the breakdown from the Fonda 200 rules:
Drivers involved in a caution flag will be directed to the rear of the cars on their respective lap.
Should a driver complete a 360-degree spin and continue without stopping and a caution flag is thrown, that driver will restart where they "blended in" within the running order.
Any driver drawing a caution and subsequently changing a tire that is not flat will be assessed a one-lap penalty.
The Pit Road outside turn three will serve as the Hot Pit for the Fonda 200.
At the time of each caution, the Hot Pit will be closed until the field is collected behind the Pace Vehicle. Lead lap cars will be permitted to pit first. Lapped cars will follow. Drivers will be instructed as to when the pit area is open by the Race Director on the One-Way Radio.
Drivers pitting when the Hot Pit is closed will start at the tail end of the longest line
Lapped cars will drop to the rear in the order they are running at the time of a caution flag. The top-running lapped car at the time of any caution will be waved around to the tail end of the lead lap via the Algonkin Motel 'Lap-Down, Go-Around' program.
Lead-lap cars returning to the track from the Hot Pit will file in at the tail of the lead-lap cars, ahead of the lapped cars.
At lap 100, a yellow/red will be called for 10 minutes. Cars heading to the infield will be permitted to refuel, adjust tire pressures, re-apply tear-offs ONLY and will maintain their position. Cars heading to the Hot Pit area may change tires or make other adjustments but must start behind the cars remaining on the speedway.
Cars remaining on the speedway will maintain their running order from lap 100. Cars entering the Hot Pit area will be scored via their running order from lap 100. Drivers will not be able to advance their position on the Hot Pit during the break with the exception of those not returning to the speedway within the allotted 10-minute time limit.

It's a shame you had to start where you did after the flat tire. I get it "rules are rules", but if you're going to bend the rules for some drivers they should make it for everyone else. I love this video, it shows just how emotional it can be for a driver particularly in Mike's incident. They're out there competing against each other and it shows that they're not heartless. Hope you guys turn things around soon. Good luck at your next race. Glad to see Jim walked away from his crash....key word "walked away".

@@tonymassengill6304they didn't follow those rules when it came to the other drivers getting flats and even though he was still on the lead lap they put him behind lapped cars which goes against their own rules..if he hadn't been put behind those lapped cars he would've never been involved in that wreck...the fact that he was podium 3 of the last 4 years where no other driver there has tells me they were dead set on keeping him off the podium...

Mike, Your a true gentleman Racer. You hurried up and got yourself out of that race car to go see if your fellow competitor was ok. To many people that means a lot. Race cars can be replaced and fixed. Drivers sometimes take longer. Every car in the wreck should get some type of compensation money. Keep doing what you do Team 35 your all a class act especially Mike. Mandee great video coverage. We hate to see race cars get wrecked like that cause that’s not racing. ❤ that Rocky was ok.

I just went and watched the FLO racing video. The announcers said, They count the first 3 yellow laps, then stop counting yellow flag laps.
and you don't loose a lap under yellow, only under green laps.
Mike had the flat with 96 laps down or 104 laps to go. So Mike stopped in the pit and the laps went to lap 100 so it was half time.
So he could have stayed in the hot pit and fixed, change shock's and tires.
HERE is the F'up he goes to the back of the cars on his lap. The announcer said that at an earlier yellow.
So how many cars were on the lead lap at lap 100? Also on the video ticker Mike's Transponder was not working.

I somehow stumbled onto this channel and found it to be interesting, a behind the scenes perspective, not knowing the cute blonde blogging was Billy The Kids daughter. When in my late teens and early 20's I watched "The Kid" dominate Flemmington Speedway week after week and battle it out with Jimmy Horton and the other great local drivers. I've been away from dirt racing since Flemmington was paved and eventually closed along with East Windsor's closing. Just last year I happened to attend a WoO race at Port Royal, the first dirt race I attended since my 20's (now in my 50's) and all I can say is the smell of alcohol, the roar of the throaty engines and dirt flying through the air brought me back and renewed my love for the sport. With that I just wanted to say your behind the scenes docuseries is very informative and entertaining. Good luck to you and your family and keep up the great work you are doing for us dirt track fans!

You can tell from the video that Rockies condition overrode everything else. Such class. Congratulations to your parents for doing such a great job. It was great to meet your mom and sister.

Let's face it. It'd the Fonda twin 100's. They tell you 10 minutes to work on your car but it's another 45 minutes while they go rework the track and change the racing conditions. That wreck should have never happened. Im so glad Mike is ok. He's a top notch gentleman. I'm glad Rocky is on the mend too.

Seat into the helmet....that's scary. Hoping Rocky makes a quick recovery. I hope in situations like this maybe something can be learned...maybe improvements can be made to the cars? An extra bar for protection?

I want to see a shout out for you and your family Rocky warner. You guys does racers you guys drive those cars and you stay safe. If you do, I’m gonna say you know if you have to be cut out of the car it’s not something you want to do but you’re still only way they do that and This wasn’t a good week for you, but I can say now that you are that Jackie is a little been up, bent up and the other car should be better best to go in rebuild it. You can be rebuilt the car you as a person cannot be rebuilt, but it’s because of your family and your racing background, that’s what you guys stay strong always stay strong I’m saying these prayers are going out to Rocky warner and his family are doing some

I was so impressed with the huge effort the team put in to get the car back on the track after the wreck. 99% of the other teams would have put the car behind the wall and called it a night. True racers all of you.

I dont think its too many fingers. when you run one race a year with pitstops and there are all kinds of variables they cant account for in the moment they are bound to get confused.

I CALL BULLSHIT too Mandee. I feel terrible for Mike, he has such a good heart, he is broken at the thought of hurting Rocky tho not his fault as there was nothing he could have done. It's ABSOLUTELY APPALLING that the OFFICIALS put him in that position. Prayers sent for Rocky and family🙏hope his injuries aren't severe. Prayers for all of you too🙏What an amazing crew35 are. There should be an inquiry done on those officials for sure, ye are definitely robbed.
Cars can be mended easily but peoples emotions not that easy at all. Keeping you all in my thoughts.
Luv, Appreciation and Respect for all of crew35❤🙂🍀🇨🇮

You guys should be proud of your effort. It was easy to see that you had a car capable of running up front. Mike drove great! and the crew did an awesome job. The flat tire and halfway break deal was unfortunate, and a series of bad calls by whoever was supposed to be in charge! The big wreck should have never happened!! Terrible job by the flagman and / or race director. But even worse, by whichever driver up front was playing grab ass, trying to get an advantage on a restart of a race that had almost 100 laps to go! A driver hurt, cars destroyed and a a lot if money wasted on something so stupid!

My question is were you going to pit at lap 100? If you were going to stay out yes you got screwed. Thanks for the videos Mandee

    • @ikeyeet8312
      @ikeyeet8312 10 месяцев назад

No, they got screwed either way. If the flat didn’t happen and they pitted, they would have restarted somewhere around 20th, since the flat happened the looked at the tires, changed the flat and determined gas only at 100. They should have been allowed to go to infield and get gas only and restart like 12th. No where in the rule book did it say pit lane will be closed lap 100-103

The thing that impressed me the most is that I never once heard Mike mention that the decision to put him in the back cost him $$$ in a wrecked car. His only concern was for Rocky. From the video, you could not Rocky’s car until you hit it. Thankfully, it sounds like he is doing fine. I am sure he fully understands and holds no ill will against you. The real cause was the bad start. The rule ought to be for those who play games on the start (either jumping it or purposely slowing to attempt to get a restart) should be put at the tail of the lead lap cars on a restart. Doing this puts all of the cars mid pack and back in a bad situation.

Mike you have nothing to be ashamed of and it was not anything you could have done different, once it happened you were shoved every which way and up and over the top, the in car video showed that well, we all can understand while it was your car on top of the 1, no choice of how it ended, you got out and went over to the 1 car and how I see your emotions it must have not looked good for Rocky at the time. Your also right U should have never been back there in the first place, and they waited till they got to the flag to throw the yellow while you were on the flat left rear so they could get the lap in they even said it on flow, BS on Fonda, they would not have done that to the 44 or the 9 or their regular cars for sure! Sure glad your ok and everyone else, and yes we give prayers and thoughts to the Rocky's family and him for hopefully a speedy recovery. Class act for sure for Mike and his team!!!!!!
