Please follow zF instructions to check the temperature of transmission oil , go through all gears and top up as required . Else you might be over/ underfilling which is bad..Also as per ZF change only required @ 80- 100k..rest is all informative..good video
They definitively did it on the wrong order, but tightening torque may vary. As per repair manual, if they are steel screws it is 10Nm, if they are made of aluminum it is 4Nm+45 angle torque. For the same transmission there are some kits with aluminum and others with steel screws. Although it seems that now all ZF kits ship with steel screws and gasket already on the pan. www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e70-x5-xdrive35i-sav/repair-manuals/24-automatic-transmission/24-11-transmission-case-oil-sump/5edxi6F
Hi, does the box deprogram if I disconnect the battery a quarter of a day? I have to replace my steering wheel so disconnect the battery for the airbag but I was told that the car box on the 330d e46 deprograms if you disconnect the battery a quarter of a .. is true ??

Is it enough to just screw that bottom plug off, drain oil out, close it, and fill from the upper one till it bleeds? My f20 116i has 131tkm on it and from what I know it never been changed. Works perfectly imo. Is there a risk of clutch slipping after such a long oil change interval? There's still like 50% of old oil after this so that shouldn't be an issue? I'm NOT flushing it by any means, just change.
Eddy Gilbert hey, the best way to make sure you get the correct part is to use the website realoem .com Just enter your last 7 digits of your vin and search for the parts. It's what I do :)
but this is not enough the original change kit has 7 liters zf part number: 1087.298.365, and I asked ZF, there is original 8.5 Liter in there, but some oil is left in the transmission

Temperature need to be monitored for the fill otherwise you did not properly fill it
totally in wrong order tightened, and it has to be 10nm

Then what about the used oil in the transmission,? Some amount of oil was in the torque converter and other place of transmission.

We were advised this is a sealed gearbox and doesn't need to be done on ours this is what bmw said

Hello, at how many KM is recommended to do this change?
+Shadowilla myself doit every 30-40k km
Galeri Kereta not necessary wasting time and money.
Shadowilla ZF is recommending to change oil approx every 80 000 - 120 000 km.
how many liters you put back in the gear box??
Around 5.5 liter.
but this is not enough the original change kit has 7 liters zf part number: 1087.298.365, and I asked ZF, there is original 8.5 Liter in there, but some oil is left in the transmission
I did also the change and it takes 5 - 5.5 liter, some oil remains in torque converter, I asked ZF and they said that it is normal
Please follow zF instructions to check the temperature of transmission oil and top up as required . Else you might be over/ underfilling which is bad..
