I just installed the 300w Plus model on my 2014 Road King with Rinehart exhaust. I took off tank(very easy) and seat ran wiring harness to battery pos/neg and the ignition wire I t-tapped the red/white wire going into rear fender for rear lights. Now it’s set to turn on and off with the ignition so no battery drain when you forget to turn it off. It fit where I can still use my windshield bag. Tested at 70mph highway can still hear it but it does depend on the music your listening to. Good rocking’ road songs work best.

I had it on my victory highball. No windshield. Definitely not worth it if you do not have a windshield. It sounds “okay” under 45 mph. Over that and it’s useless.

Man be honest. I have a street Bob with super loud pipes and no windshield or anything is there honestly any hood for a loud speaker that doesn’t look like a turd strapped to my bars? I have given up hope at this point
Do u have to worry about it getting stolen?
That's a good question. If someone wanted to steal it they certainly could. To deter theft, you could change the the supplied allen bolts to a security torx bit, which is a tool type which most people don't carry with them.
Can 2 soundboard be mounted and hooked up to 1 phone for extra sound?
No these can't be "daisy chained" - only one can be used at a time with one phone.

@@shorecycles410 that’s not true, you can hook one aux cord from one to another sound bar and have 2 even kuryakyn themselves say that in their video lol

Do you think there is enough clearance if with speaker and the windshield bag mounted as well?
Every bike and situation is going to be different. Generally I'd say yes but you might have to remove the bag for the best fit and speaker angle. Check Kuryakyn's website for sizing specs to see if that helps!
Where did u hook up the one wired to ignition
We install to a keyed hot wire at the front of the bike then ground
I keep looking at this speaker but I have short shots on my softail and don't want to waste my money if It sucks
I've done 2 of these now. I'm running un-baffled cobras on my softail slim and can hear it fine. Trick is having a fairing or windshield though for being able to hear it. The thing that is even better is that it looks like a roll bag and doesn't compromise the look of a bike like other systems. Well worth the money.
Couldn't have said it better ourselves! The fairing or shield is definitely key, and the slim profile is great if you don't want the look of big bulky speakers.
How much can you hear with a full- face helmet?
We’d recommend a Bluetooth system inside your full face instead of a handlebar speaker. This is best for open face helmets and bikes with windshields.
Is the thunder road plus much better?
They stopped making the base model, so the "plus" version is the only option now!
i have heard if you got no windshield do not waste your money.
That sounded cheap & tinny! Is there any bass? Not what id expect for that money.

Don’t get it, it sucks not a hint of base in it @ 50 MPH u can’t even hear it ( without a wind shield) spent have the day installing it (I removed the tank and hade to disconnect the top bolt of the shock just to get to the battery, 2023 fatboy… my point a lot of work for at best mediocrity 🤷🏼♂️ fair warning
No freaking way am I paying $399 for something that's made in China for about $10.
None of these systems are made in the USA.
Get the similar looking korean made for cheap

@@shorecycles410 I've heard it on my buddy's electra glide with short shots. Couldnt hear the speaker at all
