As a geologist, the rocks looks like microcrystalline to cryptocrystalline quartz or what some folks call agate. The swirling you see may be due to algae or bacteria growing and depositing the quartz as it filters thru the bacteria layer. It would be nice a shiny in the sun.

Learn something new everyday. Never would have thought bacteria would have any part in that.

RVing and boating, hope you get to do more later this year, go up to Lake Havasu and the London Bridge. I have a Class A RV 32' and 23' cuddy cabin boat. Hope to do what you do on the lakes around Tennesse and Georgia. Lake Pleasant (near Phoenix)has some great camp grounds next to the lake.

Love the Schrödinger’s cat reference ! :) And toxin produced by C. botulinum is heat labile (85°C for 5min) and adults (6yr+) are resistant to the C. botulinum spores if present. So only, worry about the toxin that essentially is destroyed when cooked.

Here's a tip on solving whether boat will start or not. You can use your garden hose and hook it to motor at home and crank it up with water running through it. Or put prop in a big garbage can and start it that way as well.

Another great video. I’m sitting on my couch here in Australia having a laugh at your matzah meal. My wife is Jewish so she is very familiar with Matzah and Matzah Ball soup etc and she thought it was cute to see you guys enjoy your version. You really are a lovely couple and I thoroughly enjoy your videos.

we recently discovered Lake Havasu, and like you, we love to boat. Planning on hitting the Colorado river soon and heading to Lake Powell this weekend for our fourth visit to LP and the Page area! Hope to run into you guys soon! PS. We live in Phoenix, so dragging the boat in the desert is the only way we get to boat! Thank God for the river and all the reservoirs we can go boating on!

My friend Tamara Dawn cooks them in broth.
One organic brand is 'PACIFIC', either vegetable broth, chicken or beef broth, or our favorite around here for pretty much any soup or stew or just sippin'... bone broth.
    .
Bone broth is supposed to be healing for the intestines, so if you suffer with IBS, Crohn's, or autism, it could help.

Glad you found navigable water in the desert (of all places). Who would have thunk! I really enjoyed the catch and cook portion of the video as that is how it always goes for me. (Except Lake Apalachia) Great video as always and Chris always remember Elisabeth is mucho intelligent and the desert is big and desolate. She will never lack for suitors so stay “needed “ my friend! ….I’m kidding of course, kinda. Prayers and safe travels!

    a)
Factory eggs are worshed for appearances, removing the protective barrier.
In our experiments, factory eggs can be unrefrigerated for a couple weeks if ambient stays below about 50°f/10°c.
    .
    b)
During your experiments, always crack eggs into a bowl instead of the skillet or soup.
The only time I didn't... well, you can guess the rest.
I turn 72yo in a few weeks; in all that time, I 'earned' only one black yolk... a couple weeks ago.
    I tossed the entire scramble.
    .
    c)
Farm-girl eggs are rarely worshed, leaving the protective barrier intact.
Some sailors report these stay good for months without refrigeration.
    .
Similar to your rig, our ExpeditionVehicle has no fridge.
    Cool weather is our friend.

Ok, the cat thing… people gotta stop using this. It’s not a flawed idea, it’s a WRONG idea. The cat isn’t both alive or dead - it’s one or the other. Your lack of information doesn’t make the cat both alive or dead, it merely means you don’t know. The cat IS either alive OR dead. It’s one or the other, you just don’t now which. Lack of information does not change reality.
