@@davidweatherholt7263 I agree. There's only one Tori Amos and men are also big fans of her gift of music. I went to two Lilith Fair Tours back in the 90's. It was a special time and an incredible movement.

This performance of this song highlights one of the things I love about Tori. She REALLY puts herself out there, not just through her lyrics but also through her playing and singing. At points in this performance she appears almost possessed by the song, singing in tongues. The courage to write and perform this way is something had by very few.
I feel almost possessed listening to and watching this performance of this song. Head spinning, back arching possessed. Truly a mesmerizing & all senses aboard to this amazingly powerful & beautiful scene! Only a few pull off the very highest echolon of performance........Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Tori Amos......... Of course such is about delivering an outstanding voice, but it embraces much more. An exquisite song is wrapped in the performer's naked and fully exposed soul, sprinkled with magic dust, and then possessed by Euterpe and her fellow Muses. They all squeeze in before wrestling and writhing to burst out. Who knows where the performer goes to, but she is lost, her voice and body body totally surrendered to the gods. Listeners are bewitched, instantly forgetting their wives children and faithful dogs. The sounds, the sights steal their souls and their Bibles declare adultery as their fantasies become the now, the only reality. They are lost, never wanting to be found only eternally orgasm within velvet sheets of sound.

Whether you realize it or not, this song is a prayer. It is a prayer of someone asking for freedom from all the little hurts that have accumulated over the years. It a prayer asking for the strength to forgive and move on. I love this song for its rawness and its truth. We all have a thousand small cuts that have devastated us over the years. Mary McMullin Great comment! The only thing that I disagree with you about is the forgiveness part. Listening to Tori's lyrics, I don't get the impression that she was in a very forgiving mood. I certainly believe forgiveness is a very healthy and healing thing in general though.
I agree! I saw TA in 1992 in a little college auditorium in Buffalo, NY - Little Earthquakes just came out - what a powerhouse! Some artists talk about the mountains - she actually moves them!
I saw her that year with the band. I've been to hundreds of shows since, and it's still my favorite performance. I'm a lifelong Tori fan, but that era was truly something special.
This exact combination of amazing musicians really were a dream team. She’s played with lots of other artists but this group has a chemistry and layering that really enhances the song and makes it even better than it was when she initially played it. I wish I could go back and see some of these live shows again.
I woke up one morning in 1992 and realized Tori Amos is the love of my life. It's never changed. It never will change. This is absolutely fire and brilliance.
I'm writing this during the adrenaline of the moment, a fucking jaw dropping performance here. Haunting, seductive, ridiculously intense - one of the best live performances I have ever watched.
This song is for woman to know about those men…who think pleasing you in the bedroom is enough, that her capacity to love is deep and that men should know how to truly love a woman MORE and woman should know this too! Her voice expresses the complexity and beauty of a soul.
Is it out of place to be turned on by the way she performs??? So much passions just radiates off her...the way she sings so close to the mic, uses her whole body to play her paino, or the way she communicates with the others on stage with her. Its so sexual but not all in the same token. Gahhhh eargasm ♥♥♥♥

❤ powerful song with a story that wrecks me every time....painful truths.
I adore this version !!! Such an amazing song !!!
What a gem. Love how she makes the intro sound like a echo on the piano. Trent Reznor's favorite tune.
They write/sing/play not for themselves but for millions of lives across all of time and space. Transcendent, universal emancipation.
❤️ love
What an amazing performance.
She is off the charts!!!
Can we have a discussion session on that guitar opening
Orgasmique!! merci pour ce grand moment. Grâce à vous je viens de découvrir cette merveilleuse chanteuse. Enjoy lol :)
Love how Matt Chamberlain drove this
Such a mega-powerful performance 👏🥲
I was a bit young during her debut in the 90s. Found her just before SLG album and been hooked ever since. Can't wait for the next concert.
Absolutely LOVE what Steve Caton adds to the performance.
Adrian Schmadrian glad it's not just me that spotted that ...
God she looked gorgeous
Tori is just SO good. My No.1 artist by a country mile. There's nobody close imo
I'm still in love with her after hearing that voice for the first time 30 years ago
I love Tori's music, talent, songwriting - but this performance is transcendent.
Great performance
I was still listening to cassettes when this came out! Didn't get the CD until later and I sing & dance to it all the time. Good time.
Still shocked how this wasn't a single ever
