Oh, Hi 2 year ago Me. I am out of the FOG now so...yeah. "Nothing you can do is gonna make us not want you." -This phrase hasn't helped in the past 2 years why? Because Love isn't enough when it comes to your adoptive/foster parents. Their love for you will never be enough. That needs to be acknowledged before you can ever trust anyone loves you. *Sets to rewatch Fosters with a more healed perspective on the show*
I’m a teenager and just binged the Fosters for the first time over the summer holidays and I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best dramas out there, especially for teens. It resonates deeply with me because it’s so raw and realistic, most problems in the show I go through or someone I know does. Kudos to the creators
These scenes really show the effects of words. Callie held onto what Stef said about her not being disposable through the whole show. She never forgot. And she brings it up multiple times to let Stef know that she didn’t forget. It’s a good message. Because what if she had said something different? What if she had spoken in anger? It could have changed the whole course of Callie’s future. Words really do have an impact.
I’m beyond blessed to have a mom exactly like Stef. And it seriously breaks my heart to know that some girls didn’t grow up with endless encouragement and support.
I grew up watching this and I always loved the way stef treated callie. she truly loved her kids unconditionally, related or not. she truly is the sweetest person and she deserves so many awards for this acting.
As someone with abusive and unsupportive parents , this show gives me so much comfort . I have always lived in a house I cannot call home , with a family that is only mine by blood , not by heart . This show feels like Home. It gives me comfort . Stef and callie’s characters really resound with me as they both went through tough , unimaginable situations with their parents , and did not let it define them . That is why their relationship comforts me so much . They found each other and protected and loved each other through everything and Callie finally found the protector she deserved as a parent . I may not have had a parent like stef , but I sure as hell am not gonna let that define me . “It’s not where you come from , it’s where you belong” is my personal motto .
I was a foster kid myself and I was adopted and I was very lucky to get a relationship like this with my mom. I love seeing Callie finally get the mom she deserved
I miss this show so much! The way this series showed how much Stef and Lena loved and cared for these children 🙌🏾😩💞 Revolutionary. And the relationship between these two was such a beautiful thing to witness.
I’d forgotten ab the “please mom” scene. I am broken rn🙃 I’m also about to start watching the show all over again so someone pls bring me tissues, thanks
Lol. I just did the same thing about a month ago. My mom came over and it was on and she goes "You're watching this again?" I just genuinely missed these characters and their storyline 💛
@@cartersessal4551 Nope. On the contrary. I not only got her to watch the Fosters, she's equally invested in Good Trouble. She actually texted ME asking my thoughts on the recent finale. She's just not a 're-watcher'. Lol.
“You are not disposable” crossed my mind often. Something about THAT line… it makes me cry on the spot. It invoked a sense of safety, love, and assuredness. I feel that that line is one of the most groundbreaking and emotional things I have ever heard in my life. Not even joking.
One of the best developments in this show was the relationship between Callie and Stef. When they first meet, Lena is inviting and accepting of her and trying to get to know her while Stef is a little more on guard and untrusting of her. Then it's like slowly we see how that changes and the scene between the two of them are magnificent. Like I like the scenes we get with Callie and Lena but I can see why Callie tends to go to Stef more than her. Lena a little too warm and inviting at times and for Callie she likely doesn't understand or know how to deal with someone who like that while Jude because he's younger gravitate towards that. With Stef and later Rita we see how they love her but they also are stern with her and telling her what she needs to hear and not sugar coating things for her. They know she's been through a lot and are willing to help her get through it but they aren't going to put up with that as an excuse either. They give her love and support but also hold her accountable for her actions and that's what Callie needed.
Honestly I could tell how much stef loved Callie the second they got to know each other it was beautiful and Callie worshiped her as a mother you cannot tell me otherwise ❤️❤️
it’s really beautiful how close they became in the storyline because you wouldn’t think that with what Callie went through, she’d open up to a police officer. and on the other hand, being a police officer, Stef had to overcome what she’s learned in the force to be able to help Callie and to love her and let her be loved. they both had to knock down each other’s walls in order to grow as a family.
They did, but Stef just had a stronger connection with Callie, just like Lena had a stronger connection with Jude. Sometimes kids naturally gravitate towards one parent more than the other.
@@lexi219 Callie also just needed Stef more. She needed the toughness Stef provided and she resonated with. Lena was great with Jude because Jude needed that soft motherly love that he never really knew. Callie was 10 when her mom died, she remembered her mom very well and probably didn't feel like she needed a mother like Lena, Jude definitely did.
I recently rewatched the show and the "you're not disposable" moment is sweet but they bring it up too much it got annoying and it lost its value the more they did it

I always loved that Callie was a mini-Stef. The two of them were meant to be mother and daughter.
it baffles me they’re not actually related, bc they are the most alike out of everyone in the show, love them so much ❤️
I love how Stef refers to Callie as her daughter ❤️ it's sweet
because she is her daughter lol what
Literally is her daughter she adopted her
I love it more when she still referred to her as her daughter before she was adopted

Que capitulo es la escena 4:21 ??
Any one remember what episode 1:01 is from
That's the episode where they're having a funeral for stefs father. Between season 2 and 3 I think
Her acting (crying scenes) was so bad earlier. She has definitely gotten better.
What episode was the clip of Callie and jude cuddling with Stef from?
i think it’s the very last episode
what episode are the clip where they sit in the stairs and stef lays her head on callies shoulder from?
What season and episode is the last scene from???
It’s from S5 can’t remember the episode number, it was close to the last few episodes
The way Brandon didn’t come up once here..😭
