2020 CVO has traction control system (TCS) . Traction control limits wheel slip when torque is applied on acceleration. HD Traction control uses wheel speed sensors to detect when one driven wheel is spinning faster than the other wheel. In this condition, the ABS activates on the slipping wheel to slow its speed. Once the slipping wheel slows down, it is able to grip the road again and the brake is released. It's a safety mechanism and the only way round it is to be lighter on the throttle. The wheel spin censor could be tweaked but that would invalidate the bike as it was set for safety as the ECU will also reduce engine torque in addition to using the ABS system to apply the brakes. My top tip is if you want to put a smile on your face with torque and speed, trade in the CVO and buy the 167HP Low Rider S from Geelong Harley-Davidson. Or keep the CVO for what it was designed for.. Touring.

I live the Oregon USA and only have two motorcycles as my commuters/daily. A Hot Rodded 2019 ScramblerXE 1200 and a 2017 Harley Heritage Vicla. I ride everywhere. No matter the weather...even have had my ass caught in the cold white stuff a time to 10. An old timer friend of mine used to race desert bikes back in the 70s and told me one day “You ride in the rain, you learn that bike (am old Triumph 750 Bonneville at the time)...how it brakes in the rain and leans, you’ll gain skills that weekend warriors will never have.”. 16 years later, I’ve got countless thousands of miles of experience and a passion for riding like no other. Cheers to you for riding your shit!!! Ride them! Don’t hide them!

Sometimes when I’m lane splitting some drivers try and stop you by squeezing your in, they must think we aren’t allowed to do it . That’s when there side mirrors become real loose

Absolutely! I ride all weather and all seasons. Down as low as 20 degrees. A little heated gear helps but the factory heated grips and seats on my Victory make the cold and damp weather much more durable. Awesome content Danny!
I'm with Colin on this one. I have heard of the same problem on all 2020's with ETC that your having when you install an after market cam you have to tune the bike with an aftermarket tuner like the Power Vision or Thunder Max and they don't have any software that works with the ETC yet, I am sure they will come up with a work around for it soon. I have a 2019 Road Glide Special with the same cam you put in yours that's tuned with a power vision and I don't have any problems. The biggest problem I have is that installing the RS 468 cam voids the manufacturer warranty.
I don’t take my bike out in the rain because I don’t want to clean it afterward but I’ve been in heavy rain many times and I’m very heavy traffic and stop and go freeway traffic, quite an eye opening experience.

You can get more HP AND torque with a skeeper 124" kit for half the cost of the 131" kit. The power and response for the 124" kit was a realky sweet set up.

Great upload as per! I lost my Father on August 26th to Dementia. He road his whole life pretty much. He always wanted to own a Harley, but could never afford one. I wish I could have afforded to pick one up for him before he got ill. He still has his 1996 Honda Shadow ACE 1100. Stored at the cottage. One of these days I am going to have it shipped up to where I live and have it tuned up, etc. I just want to feel what he felt once he sat on the bike and road for hours. Hoping I can find peace once that happens. Thanks for uploading all these videos. It’s nice to laugh and learn at the same time! Appreciate it Sir!

The beauty of a Harley, is that it is a great bike from the factory and if you want to customize it, there’s a very big line of parts to make it your own. More power, more storage or more bling is up to you or whatever Colin will allow you to do.
Hey Danny, please read this if you like and want to keep the look of your bike, even if it's long, I'll try and make it short though.
When you go to get your bike noise tested for EPA (I had same issue), if you want to keep the current look of your bike and same exhaust, have your current exhaust worked on by a proper exhaust workshop with more/better baffles (removable) put inside.
I took my nice Vance and Hines exhaust off put standard exhaust on for my test, passed the test but they take photos of the exhaust that passes, the EPA keep them for 7 years, police have ability to look at them when they pull you over.
So now, if I get pulled over and have a different exhaust the fine is much larger as its considered as me tampering with the exhaust. In NSW if you are pulled over 3 times with the non compliant exhaust they can de register and take the bike forever.
Now my bike sounds like a moped and looks much worse than when I bought it, other exhaust was awesome, standard looks shit.
Had I taken the Vance and Hines to an exhaust workshop, had it quietened passed the EPA test with it on, then that exhaust would be the one photographed and allowed to keep on the bike, then all I'd have to do when I got home after the test is remove the inner baffles and my sound and look would be back to how I like it. Then if pulled over again argue the point to the officer that this exhaust has been approved, look it up in the system.
If they still defect it, put baffles inside, have it tested then pursue the cops to have defect removed from file as it passed.
Colin is right Dan, the control unit is doing its job, it “thinks” there is more torque going down ( than the Parameters are set for) so kicks in. It’s your fault for getting a model with TC. Lol
Bun Bun Harley’s is also figured out, adding a cam ( more torque) has altered the ECU parameters, it only trying to keep the bike upright. It’s a new system, as soon as , they will find a fix.
Kawasaki and Harley’s are like comparing apples and bananas. It’s all a learning curve.

I have a 2020 road glide and i have problem with my stage 2 I don’t have the real power of a stage 2. I had a hard time fighting with the dealership! I will give them a call tomorrow morning !!!!!
I currently own a Softail heritage and i have never really looked ad getting a bagger with a fairing, but this bike is sooooooo beautiful.

Iv been riding for 5 months now here in Colorado. My first week i rode in the worst rain. Second week more rain. Iv rode in sun and snow. I feel pretty confident and ride ever chance I get.
I have a 2020 street glide special, all you need is a harley torque cam and use the screaming eagle tune, 100 horse 120 foot pounds. Vs stage 4 120 horse 138 foot pounds and $9k us later. Look at what rpm you are mostly at (3k) and what the dyno graph says. Stage 2 torque cam is the best bang for the buck.
When you say Screaming Eagle tune are you talking about their pro street tuner? Silly question but but they say you need an after market tuner for stage two cams are they talking about non Harley cams, and is a Screaming Eagle pro street tuner good for Screaming Eagle cams?

Selling under tuned and barely acceptable performance is all part of the HD "schtick" - why do you think they have "Stage 1, 2, 3, 4" and I've even heard someone suggest there's a 5th? It's all part of their business model -- upgrade parts sales, dealership labour sales. What I don't like about HD MOCO is that they won't offer engine options from the factory - getting these upgrades at the dealership opens up a whole can of worms because all Dealerships are NOT created equal in their backend capabilities! My bikes never see the inside of a HD Dealer service unless something needs attention when I'm touring and then, I'm riding with a nag in the back of my head thinking about what they might not have done properly - it never fails and I always find something they screwed up or missed or just simply didn't put back where they found it! I come from the Luxury Automotive executive management side of the game - I know the pressures these guys, on both sides, are under and it's the primary reason shit happens! PS - I don't care about warranty. So, here are my "Stage" suggestions; Stage one, buy a ride on lift, Stage two, learn how to do your own maintenance (not 'repairs' but, that helps too), Stage three, upgrade the suspension, Stage four, upgrade the intake and exhaust, Stage five, get your bike properly Dyno tuned, Stage six, learn how to ride your bike - get some track time! Stage seven, get out and ride son!

You can buy the 131-cubic-inch Screamin' Eagle crate engine think thats the Stage 5 lol. But i think the dealership put it all together.

Traction control is a great idea.But some of us like to play. Harley just put a switch to cut it off and on. Like cars have,problem solved.
Do a short burn out and it will disable TC & ABS until you turn off the engine! There's a video on RUclips.

2020 street glides have a button on the left above the CarPlay button to turn it off. One short press it turns on the wet wether map and if you’re stopped and hold both brakes while holding the button for a few seconds it shuts it off completely. I do it all the time.
Best riding gear so far 👍 on the helmet, glasses, jacket and RED laces.
I will never understand people who only ride in their perfect weather. It gets dirty on a nice, dry day. At least get it filthy so its worth cleaning.
I guess I'm saying is its manly to clean a bike, don't dust it in between rides.
When you ride in the shit and make it home safe it feels good. You can appreciate life.

I dislike riding in very windy conditions as opposed to rain. The wind can be so unpredictable. But yes, whole heartedly agree that you should intentionally ride in the rain when you can so you are accustomed to it when the weather changes on you unexpedly.

I’m old and I like things simple. I don’t want to have electronic controls on my bike or truck. It’s my bike and if I want to spin the tire then I should be able to. I don’t want the bike I own controlling me. I want to control the bike.

Absolutely love the Harley and the Monkey is just a goofy fun little bike. (Yoshimura exhaust, DNA stage 3 intake, 14 tooth sprocket, Ohlen shocks, PCM reflash etc.) If you come to TEXAS look me up. I agree with you, the traction control shouldn’t intervene in acceleration. I could see if it was the ABS but traction control is not necessary on a heavy underpowered bike, and I’m not complaining, I enjoy my streetglide.

You have a appointment to get a noise inspection, just get the guys to pop a set of stock mufflers on and get checked and change back after. Probably 10 to 15 min work to switch out.

If you leave the left hand side heat shield of the rear cylinder runs cooler as it allows better air flow. Seen the temp numbers on another video it works.

Love the vlogs and I'm always looking forward to the next Million Dollar Bogan adventure. I do agree with you about the price we pay for Harley bikes, then needing to add on. Just to clarify, there is no way a Harley dealership is going to acknowledge poor quality or bad design. A dealership can get in trouble; if a dealership speaks up, Harley will delay sending parts and will make unattainable quotes for the dealership to make; slowly putting them out of business. Stay safe and enjoy the ride.

Regarding aftermarket tuning. A lot of this is government regulations and lawyers in terms of liability. The RDRS took them a long time to develop based upon their formula for engine performance and bike configuration. When you change the cam or exhaust or intake or anything that affects the bike and now unfortunately it effects how the RDRS behaves. Some shops claim that they can tune around it but others are saying if you want to modify the bike RDRS may not be for you. The aftermarket is responding but if you change it outside of the Harley stock or don't use Harley parts during the warranty period they can and have invalidated the warranty. YMMV.
I say put on the big boy pants and wait for Dynojet to work on their tuning software to catch up. Until then just ride the bike.
I'm with you on this one mate, if Harley shops are going to do the upgrades and insist they are done at the dealership not to void warranty, they need to make sure they work as expected.
Hey Danny, I have to agree. There should be a switch to deactivate the traction control on all vehicles. That would drive me crazy, as well. I can understand where Cole is coming from, though. Great vlog, thanks Danny.

I’ve got a KTM dirt bike with traction control that is the best engineered of its kind. It lets you ride but saves your arse when required.
