In 1975, mum and i had a 15 day holiday from Sydney, Australia, to the western United States. We stayed at Los Angeles, San Francisco. Bakersfield, Las Vegas. Grand Canon, and Anaheim. We also saw the Hover Dam, Yosemite, and Calico Ghost town. In Las Vegas we stayed at the Circus Circus. There were some renovations being done to the entrance of the building but this did not impact on our visit. I can't believe how much it has changed both inside and outside over the last 49 years. Back then the accommodation consisted of a single tall narrow building behind the famous entrance. The other hotel casinos i remember were the Sands, MGM Grand. Riviera. Stardust. Slots a Fun. Golden Nugget. Westward Ho Motel Casino. Caesars Palace. (Frank Sinatra performing) and Flamingo. There was also the Candlelight Wedding Chapel. There are so many tall buildings it looks like a new city.
I keep saying it but I miss the Slots A Fun and Circus Circus. They are nostalgic and are burned into my memory forever. I hope they continue to stand.
i love that slots a fun was revived. they let it sit almost empty for 10 years. the trick was moving the coin slots to that casino, now it is doing well.
I like Burger 🍔 King 👑 but when I saw the Whopper Jr. was $7.00 I walked another five minutes to McDonald's and got two hamburgers 🍔 for $6.00. Back in Connecticut I can get a Whopper Jr and small onion rings for $6.00. I like Las Vegas but not some of their prices. ALL THE BEST ROCKER ROB.

@@VegasIRL Thank you so much for responding.
Wife and I used to stay at El Rancho and Stardust, good times and great memories, thanks for bringing up those old school Vegas properties
You bet!

Do they have any actual nickle, dime and quarter slots? Or, are they all "Token" coins? 😊
Stayed there in 2007 and 2008. Doesn't appear to have changed a lot.
