Dude exactly, the amount of continuous pressing until loss was insane. He would win 2 in a row and keep pushing. It’s like he was trying to lose and didn’t stop till he did
I would not split two Deuces against a Deuce. 1) If you get a face card for each split hand, what are you going to do with two hands of 12? Not much. 2) If you were looking for double down opportunities, the chance of double down is quite slim: just 25% for each hand and 12% for both hands. But even if you luck out with double downs, that doesn’t mean the final double down card will be a 10. 3) Deuce for the dealer should be a very cautious situation for the player, even more so when the player doubled down. In one of the hands, the player split the Deuce 3 times against a Deuce and lost that hand. In a different hand, the player split two 6s against a Deuce and lost that hand as well. I would just hit or stay where appropriate, but not split. These 2 hands are about $10k, which means a possible $20k swing in the chip stack had the player played more careful. Can the player win the way he played these 2 hands? Maybe, but the chance of winning is slim.

You’re basically aligning the cards in the same sequence. I have over two decades of experience. If wanna make real money of this game. Play double deck. Single hand. If cards go bad. Throw in a second hand. Play until you lose then drop back to one hand. Oh hit your soft 18 against the dealer face card. I’ve seen and heard it all. I’ve made millions. I don’t know your back story, but blackjack is not luck it’s timing. You basically have the bank roll so it doesn’t matter to you. Knowledge doesn’t come from finance it comes from experience. Did you play hi low or a different count system? Would you anyone choose 6 deck or double in high limit? This is not meant to be critical, but so I can learn.
Also, Peppermill is so paranoid against counting. They cover the shoe. I could see the deck pen was more than 1 deck. Where are the good places with good rules and good pen in Reno to play?
Black jack is all about betting high and splits and doubles at right time. But unfortunately people keep same bets or lower when winning, bet higher when losing that’s house advantage not for you. This is from my own knowledge I don’t follow any books or methods strategies. I use common sense. Watch cards and hit accordingly. Forget what people say.
