Badass car bro! I'm trying to gather all the bits to turbo my Mk4 GTI. I have a gt3582 turbo, an intercooler, some of the 3" exhaust piping and some other bits. Still have a lot more to buy. I want to build a custom adapter for the stock manifolds so I can mount the turbo just below the manifold exits. I'm thinking it will spool better than a log type manifold. I'd like to keep the stock intake manifold as well. Going for that sleeper look but I think the turbo whistle out of the 3" exhaust will give me away. I picked a .63 a/r turbine housing for quick boost. I know it's gonna choke the hell out of the top end but I'm not looking to rev more than 5 or 6k. If that turbine housing proves too restrictive I can always change it to .82 or bigger. This car is my daily and intended strictly for the street. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I thin goin .82 is the best option. also, stock manifold won't hold much over like 10-12psi. try to get into a fb group or a forum specific to the vr6 and you can get a large amount of info that will help you on your build. good luck!
