starts with a vw especially with young men.My first car was a jetta 2 . I owned a lot of different brand of vehicles due to car sale business ,but my heart and soul always belongs with vw even if it breaks down.

Random question but how has it held up for you guys? I'm looking to get a mkiv Jetta but it's a little on the higher mileage side (135000 miles). Anything to watch out for in particular?
+PumPumCheezPizza69 its definitely a high maintenance car, but totally worth it, mines done 159,000km (have no idea what that is in miles), ive only had to do belts and services so far
+PumPumCheezPizza69 one thing to watch for is they are known for transmission problems
I got mine with 86k on the clock and she's about to hit 104k probably tomorrow. the only thing I have had to do the car other than oil changes and plugs is a fuel pump.
After years of going back and watching this video i finally bought the same exhaust. Let me tell you, the expense is worth it. These arent the fastest cars in the world but they’re hell of a lot of fun to drive. The exhaust makes it 10x better. If anyone is considered an exhaust for this motor. 15746 from magnaflow is the way to go no doubt. Incredible

Lol I have a 3" straight piped 24v vr6 gti. I love the exhaust note so much that I watch videos about it when I'm not driving it. Owning one of these is fun as hell.
man. I have a 24v vr6 gti also, resonator removed but still have mufflers. I do the same thing. Something about the VR6, it's one of the best sounding engines ever.

same! sometimes I wish I wouldve gotten a vr6 just for this amazing sound. and my 1.8t it straight from the stock cat back and tuned so it's also loud but not this loud 😂 I just love the obnoxiousness to it lol
TastyGravy1 I love the sound of the VRs, but the 1.8t can sound good too. A 1.8t with the righ exhaust has a very deep rumble. Still not as good as the VR, but pretty good compared to other 4 cylinders.

No other 6cyl engine can compare to this sound. I personally would have liked to have heard it with the resonator still installed but that's just me. Still sounds amazing.

VR6 all day! I have a 3.6 CC with Magnaflow mufflers and the suitcase deleted. It's essentially an R36 for America. The perfect sound. Now I got a 2.8 GTI as a project. It's getting magnaflow as well.

Got an '04 GLI VR6 too. Same exhaust, with resonator delete as well. Some of my neighbors hate me, others are kind of jealous, I know it.

Best car i've ever owned, and have had many! I still drive my '03 GTI VR6 I purchased new in October 2002! 19 years so far, and very reliable! 6-speed manual, leather interior, and i've been through 5 sets of tires. Garaged and yearly full synthetic oil changes. Still puts a smile on my face, and so much fun to drive! Really a 'drivers car'! Jared, I have a question: have you ever changed the manual transmission oil? I've never changed it in the 19 years i've driven, and it still shifts smoothly and crisply! VW (and the dealerships) keep telling me that changing the transmission oil is not recommended, ever! I have a hard time believing this, since this is not a sealed system (there is a tranny oil drain screw or plug)! Any comments appreciated. Thanks!
You should change it, just to be sure, i've changed mine after 200.000km and it was quite dark but not bad. Just for peace of mind I changed it

I got a 2.5 inline 5 mk7 and a vr6 b6 3.6 The in-line 5 is straight piped in my cars playlist on my channel and the vr6 will be on Friday. Check out my other cars as well

Thinking about removing my convertor I've already deleted egr and secondary air pump. Now yours here is it just straight pipe without a muffler??? I want a good rumble but gotta keep it toned down a bit compared to that. I'm thinking no convertor with my already installed high flow muffler. Yours here is straight pipe without muffler correct???

Yeah it was definitely more drone-y without the resonator, i would suggest leaving it in. I have another video on my channel with the resonator left in.
I thought the 24v came only in a 3.2. Or was that a 3.2 24v head on a 2.8?

March Jude I think it would be less singy at the top end but I doubt it would really be noticeable
12v sounds better to most people. Sounds more like a roar instead of gargling water, but this 24v is sick

Quick question! I love the car and that exhaust is killer! My question is if the car is a 03 how did you get the 04/05 gauge cluster?? Did you take it apart and just change the backing on the tach or is the newer tach plug and play with the old one???? Thinking about trading in my 05 gli for a 24v but I want a 04 for all the newer little details but those are impossible to find!
I bought an 04/05 cluster and swapped over the faces and needles. That way I could keep my original milege and not have to do any coding. Hope that helps

I love the vr6. I have a 03 20th, but that drone gets super annoying after 10+ years of ownership. Went with billy boat 3in high flow dp to 2.5in megan racing cat back and will never go back.
I have an 03 vr6 just like the one in the video they sound amazing the only thing I hate is the hesitation on accelerating whether it's caused by abs esp traction control or drive by wire lag I can't figure it out???
