More Tehachapi Loop -1994.

  • Just a few scenes showing some of the variety available to the rail fan observing goings on at California's Tehachapi Loop in 1994. Several liveries, trading names and many loco types can be seen at the head of, and mid train on the passing freights. First passing the camera is the famed 'Cans', a long heavy oil train which succeeds in reducing the following trains to a crawl.

    I don't even glance at the long freights these days as they're always the same units over and over ad nauseam.
    Thanks for sharing the best moments in RR history.

    Looks like an old Chessie unit there in the mix on the first train.
