i'm from italy. i'm in quarantine, this song is connected to a very special moment where i heard no cars, no mascines, no noises on the mainstreet of our village and it was so calm. just this song and me and the calm
This song, to this day, still has one of this best guitar riffs that isn't a solo, I've heard. Two door cinema club, What you know and this are in a constant battle for my favorite.
I remember, years ago, i saw a music video with a little blond girl drawing a circle on the ground, and i remember that song was so good ... I had been looking for that song for so long, but with no results. Few minutes ago, while i was just watching random videos, i noticed a White Lies one on the right and i wanted to select it, but i clicked on the wrong video accidentally and i got here ... Now i know i clicked on the RIGHT video.

Great band defo Joy Division influence love that moody sound. Tom is from my town in Stroud although he's quite a bit younger than me my mate was in his class and I was taught by his mum and dad at same school til I was kicked out in 2nd year 😂
I remember listening to this song while in 8th grade. 10 years later and I find this song as beautiful as it was before. I hope my taste in music never changes
@@mauvedragontiddies9244 alright Pace had an epic swing and intro. And that chorus is murder. But rest. Rest my soul they just slayed. That suspended intro before dropping in. But yeah I feel you Pace needs some love.
Oh my God what a song. And Tom's voice is incredible....I love him!! Yes,british people are the best musicians,my favourites are all from the UK (and I'm from Italy ;-))
Saw them in NZ - one of the truly great alternative bands. The singers voice is haunting and weaved around it are flowing melodic guitars. Reaches my 💜
Incredible British Band from Birmingham, Truly one of the best live acts I have seen...and trust me I have born witness to many. I wait with massive anticipation for their 3rd album....All the very best to you all
Chris is an amazing guitar player. Those first two records with him in the band are amongst my favorite albums of all time. After her left, ehhh . . . not so much. YMMV
Favourite Editors song right there. I honestly didn't know them (except for Papillon) before Rock Werchter 2012. They completely blew me away with their gig. Bought their albums the week after, now I'm a huge fan :)
One of the band members comes from my home town Stroud. (Looked like) the whole band walked into a bar i was at once, in about 04.. i actually noticed Edith Bowman, who was also with them, first. A DJ happened to be blasting a tune, that the friend i was with, and i wrote.. Gave Edith that CD... she probably chucked it out the window on the way home lol
Yeah I also remember this from years ago. I totally forgot about this band until I saw that they were coming to sziget this year. I'm pretty exited to check them out now :)
I always commend this band because truthfully their skills and their way to show up are marvelous but I can' deny I mostly rely on their outset and their previous album while my expectations around the last one got bashed. Many songs are rooted into that steep and breathtaking darkness and this kind of somber approach has been leading the band since it all came out. Necessarily they clenched some artists from the akin stream, maybe Depeche had a great impact on their style and this is definitely a massive deal because there's a mutual spark. To be honest Depeche stuck to rock more than Editors, synths and keyboards keep being the main key but it's reasonable to experience new things and to widen your knowledge, even analyzing the process you manage and the possible evolution of the audience. The target you want to pick is an important aspect of the music, otherwise your style hovers around restricted and not identified categories; you fancy the listeners you're gonna play in front of but you take heed of their age as well. As soon as you turn into commercial melodies your result gets driven towards teenagers; so your oldest and keenest fans start feeling let down and they take a listen to anyone else, clearly.

The same for me in Norfolk England,a very peaceful coastal village, no tourists total bliss!!
@@beachcomberbloke462 very beautiful *-*
I'm from Guatemala and I don't understand how EDITORS is hear in Italy and anywhere & just have 12K likes. For me Editors are awesome.

One of the most underrated bands and one of my absolute favourites.

After all these years, this song and lyrics still give me chills.
One of the most beautiful voices ever! Unique
The Editors are legends.
*Editors! No ‘THE’!!

My taste in music hasn't changed in more than 50 years! 😅
Bom gosto amiga. Sou do Brasil
I remember when my dad used to play The Editors when I was young.
Never knew the song or the band until much more recently.
Such an amazing album from start to finish
I saw this clip just once, more than 11 YEARS ago on tv!! And today someone found it for me.. God i'm so happy!
Love this song 😀 So much underated band 😕 Can't wait to see them soon !!
This just must be the world's best male vocal in the current music industry, so amazing!!!
Kinda weird and cool how the singer of this band can say just anything and still make it sound epic everytime :P
probably one of the best songs ever. Its right there with Rest My Chemistry by Interpol and Sun in the morning by future islands.
I always preferred Pace is the Trick over Rest My Chemistry.

Ou Papillon
True art indeed. An end has a start still a superiorly arpeggiated melody

Chris's unique sound is greatly missed and was a huge loss to Editors.

Still remember the concert in Sala Zeleste 10 years ago. Loved every second of it.
So true. We have Beatles, Iron Maiden, Queen, Rolling Stones, The Who, Dire Straits, Coldplay, Editors and others.
Oh they are absolutely perfect!
And this song is my favorite!
And I'm going to their concert today! *.*
Thumbed up ...... a decade later 👍 are you still alive??
Excellent song , very nice voice . The Editors have made very good songs, especially that one.
Ah, it was from '07 already? How nostalgic this sounds already! the part at 2:35 is so boss, damn
These are some heavy lyrics. And a deep video
It's amazing the singer does not you's autotune
Wonderful! I'm so in loove with this song and the singer is kinda cute!

Saw this music video ONCE, years ago. Managed to find it here through a hunch and RUclips being psychic.
Wow, I stumbled upon this on accident, but now, I'm enjoying this :)
High five!
Seen these guys live at Glasgow Carling Academy and it was one of the best gigs ever! :)
Los editors...puffff, bandota. Los escuché por primera vez en el RMX,buenos recuerdos

His tone is actually pretty unique. Its refreshing.
I saw them in Poland in Jarocin Festiwal two days ago. Very impressive.
I think we can all forget about hearing that guitar riff in concert again. Even if they get a substitute guitar player, it just won't be the same.
I love this song ...
some scenes from musicvideo makes me feel like Sunshine film:) great music but a little bit depressed
Incredible song!!!
Just good very very very good.....love em
