I am an American who has been living in Seoul, Korea, for the past 15 years. Korean food is incredibly diverse, and you can find dishes to suit everyone’s taste.
Thanks for sharing your experience. We are looking forward to our next trip to try some more amazing foods. If you have any recommendations of dishes to try we will do our best to find em on our next visit!

Flat chopstick cause we can pick small food items like beans and various vegetables dishes easily. We use our spoon a lot for soup and eat rice (china and japan eat them with chopsticks or just drink soup out of the bowl) so chopsticks are more for only side dishes so it is flat and heavier than others (wooden chopsticks)
🙌🙌🙌. Thanks so much for this awesome helpful tip! We love drinking soup straight out of the bowl! We actually bought a pair of the metal flat chopsticks to take home with us. Thanks so much for watching this delicious adventure!
Thank you so much! We legit loved everything we ate start to finish. We have another Seoul vlog coming next week and we are already planning on a return trip! Thanks so much for your kind words❤️🇰🇷

That dish called gamjatang is a food that my Spanish wife really loves. I hope you enjoy everything about Korea. And I wish you all a life filled with happiness and good health.
We could totally see that. We feel like Seoul has enough that if you’re missing home you can find something comforting to eat or do. We could definitely see ourselves living there. We are just spoiled with the weather in San Diego😂
Thank you so much for this awesome comment and recommendation. We will be sure to try it on our next week. We’re planning on going in a month or two unfortunately this video we filmed a while back but we will be back and will be sure to try the pork cutlet. Thank you.
Spicy Korean food is not old traditional food, but modern korean food. Originally, the origal sauce for bibimbap, bibim guksu and tteokbokki are soy sauce, not chili one. And Origianl kimchi has no chili pepper podwer. Gamjatang, like today's galbitang and gomtang, was originally a dish made with a clear broth without chili peppers. And Dakgalbi and Jeyukbokem took off since 1980s-2000s. In Korea, meat is traditionally eaten grilled without seasoining or seasoned with soy sauce or soybean paste. Beef bulgogi, nebiani, and maekjeok are traditional Korean grilled meat dishes. Samgyetang and baeksuk are traditional Korean dishes made by boiling chicken with little seasoning. Spicy seasoned meat is a recent trend. Even today foods for Korean ancestral rites, Chuseok, and New Year's Day generally do not contain chili peppers.
Thank you for the history lesson! We love learning about traditional Korean food. That’s so interesting. We are from Southern California and Korean style food didn’t really take off until around 2010 and we associate almost all of those foods as the version with chili. We are big spicy food people so we welcome it with open arms however we will do our best to try some of the more traditional variations on our next trip. Thank you so much!
LOL for some reason, me being a Korean, I love watching foreigners having a good time eating korean foods lol there nothing else that makes me more happier than that. Did you know "how are you" in Korean version is "did you eat?" eating is that important to Koreans LOL.
Hahaha that’s hilarious we had no idea! We are glad that you’re enjoying our Korea travels. Back home our Korean friends have been dying for this video and they are all talking smack about everything we missed and did wrong. We need to practice our Korean for our next visit because we already want to come back
lol it gets hard sometimes when we’re editing the videos because we just wanna go back and eat all the food all over again😂 thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Thanks for the comment. Filming time was listed in the description. We polled our viewers and they wanted us to post the food even though we filmed it on our last trip.
Yesss!!!🤦🏻♂️ We are so sorry, unfortunately we are t able to go back an amend it. We think we put the price for the whole meal and not just the soup or possibly we aclu ted for the larger sharing portion. Either way it was delicious and we would’ve paid 27,000 too😂. Thank you for you help with the pricing💯🙌
Mok myeok san bang is not a Michelin starred restaurant. It was featured by Michelin which is a big difference. A tip is the plaque will have a star(s). If it has a Michelin man face means its a bib gourmand (award for good quality, good value cooking). This restaurant had neither so its was just a featured restaurant. Doesnt mean its bad but very different from a star restaurant and you can mislead people by saying it has a star.
Thank you for clarifying! We are always learning about Korean food. We always wondered what bib gourmand meant too. Thanks for the help, we will be better prepared next time!

뇌피셜 내까리지마라...
The spices have been used for a thousand years. Your statements are overstepping.

Thanks for the comment. Filming time was listed in the description. We polled our viewers and they wanted us to post the food even though we filmed it on our last trip.
wow
Thanks so much! Korea was awesome! We have one more video from Seoul but we promise to return soon!
8:54 I don't think it costs ₩27,000! maybe you should correct it but I enjoyed your video a lot🥰 + I just found out it costs ₩11,000
돌솥비빔밥 먹고싶다!!!
우리도요! 우리가 사는 곳에는 샌디에이고에 정말 좋은 한국 식당이 딱 한 군데밖에 없어서 다시 가야 할 것 같아요!

고맙습니다! 😄
다른 유튜버랑 다르게 한국에 대해 알아보고 온게 느껴졌습니다
'그 ㅅㄲ'도 잘 긁으려 알아보고 온 거라서 29년 풀로 받길 원합니다.
