  • Train derailment in Lafollette Tennessee. I heard it. I'm about a half mile away and then I went and checked it out a couple hours later.

'Cranes' are sidebooms. They're generally used for pipe-laying but work very well for cleaning up derailments.

wonder what this all costs to repair...and how it affects the cargo price...anyway thanks for the exceptional video.
***side note-[why do people put graffiti on cab cars anyway, never got that].

That bridge is dangerous since it has no security guard rails but at least the wooden guardrail did a great job keeping the rail cars from falling down the bridge.

Hopefully all the Safety Experts here in the comment section will get busy personally inspecting the thousands of bridges just like this one across the US, then find the funding for the suggested repairs. Start in Pittsburgh. You'll see stuff there that makes this bridge look like the model for safety. Up there they don't repair 'em until they collapse. Metal fatigue just happens. This bridge is approaching 100 years old and if that's the worst that happens, no big deal. The wood up top is the real issue. The old bridge abutments are for a coal spur off the main line abandoned previous to 1960.

Forgot about that I had a tripod, but I don't have a cell phone attachment for this tripod, but it moved quite a bit because I was zoomed all the way in on my cell phone in the little tiny move, makes it look like I moved it a lot, but I didn't and that was in my hand the whole time pretty much I'm sorry that I was doing that. I didn't plan on going doing that that day. It was one thing lied to another, and then I spent all day doing it notplanned, but I hope you like it. Thank you.

Musta been something to watch that train cross this bridge after that fatigue crack parted. A shame that railroads usually replace only with failure.
They make plenty of dough, the taxpayer shouldn't be adding to the yacht fund of the company officer's.
Instead of lining the pockets of the board members we could create laws that keeps the railroads more honest on maintaining their ROW.

Hola, Hello, Guau! ..material fatigue, it's unfortunate, but you still can't believe that the companies that transport cargo and that are the most interested do not contribute to ensuring that the roads are made of concrete and steel, and not wooden sleepers as there are still left, the sleepers were very faithful and they've done their job, it's time to replace them all, thanks.

Most European railroads are also controlled by their respective governments, while most American roads are privately operated, thus allowing there owners of said railroads to do cross cutting measures. It’s called PSR or precision schedule railroading. I recommend looking more into it.

Someone from Europe is actually commenting on the North and South freight rail infrastructure? Europe that puts 8% of freight on rails compared to our 46%.. all you have is high seep rail subsidized by the government. Europes freight equipment is world war II era still using link and pin coupling lol.. this is a fact on the best freight rails systems NA/SA is #1.. Australia ranks #2.. western Asia is #3. east Asia is #4 and Russia is #5.. so go kick rocks and learn something before sound like a fool
