Always so refreshing to hear Mr. Windsor's take on everything. Appreciate all your interviews with him! I was a bit miffed with Lando after those comments but then Mr. Windsor is right and I'm glad to hear his opinion. Max has been there many times. As a Max fan I can appreciate that. Thank you both for bringing intelligent discourse and respect to this very heated stage of the championship!
Peter - To say you're not going to watch the interview with Lando for context is a very bad point of view to have. To comment on something, and dismiss the comments because you don't know the context, and then refuse to find out the context is very poor form. I know you love Lando, and don't want to see something that will bring him down, but if you did watch the interview, you'd see that it wasn't a question from the reporter about Max's drive, but it was Lando's comments after the race while summing up his race, and rueing the decision to box instead of staying out. So this was 100% on Lando here, he wasn't pushed into saying it by a reporter, it was genuinely his own comments, going out of his way to try and diminish Max's result.
I agree with Windsor about the young drivers. If you are really something special, then you show yourself right away. A clear example is Hamilton in 2007, Verstappen in 2015 and Leclerc in 2018. I'm an American and I've been a fan of F1 for 6 years. The bias of the British announcers can be extremely annoying. Many times I've heard various personalities say "we" as if they are a mouse in the pocket of the lucky British driver of the day. There's also the scrutiny and criticisms for non-British drivers while they make countless excuses for their countrymen. What ever happened to impartiality?
@njgrplr2007 the announcers need to go. They try to set a narrative like they are the directors of drive to survive. Get a rotating crew of different announcers.
Agreed English coverage is almost exclusively British. They do have some foreigners on Sky like Danica Patrick but she is marginalised. The amount of bias against Rosberg when he was fighting Hamilton was pretty insane. I can't believe he actually appears on Sky occasionally. They hated him. I think George Russell acts very entitled generally speaking. Like whenever he crashes into someone he blames the other driver. Like he is expecting the British race stewards and pundits will rush to his defence

Max drives just like Senna and Schumacher did. A bit of a bully on track with incredible speed and car control. There is literally no difference between those 3 when it comes to their driving personalities. Senna's fighting nature was only forgotten about after he died. Michael new how to plsy the politicsl game so it wasn't really talked about. Max doesn't play the politics, and he's still alive. Thats why its such a hot button issue for a lot of people. Once he retires, the view of him will soften.
Senna was a kind man and very conflicted. Max is a complete natural behind the wheel and aggressive like Senna in the car, but out of it he has little class like Senna had. Sure you'll disagree, but I don't really care.
@@ab8jeh If you make these dumb statements explain them. Max is a natural guy, doesn't care about politics just minding his own business. Lives for racing
@ab8jeh from the Senna documentary you can see many times of him getting into arguments with other drivers in the pits like Schumacher and Prost. You even saw him arguing with that idiot FIA president as well as eith journalists after the races. Senna was a flowery romantic speaker. But he definitely had some bite if he disagreed with someone. I always think of that time he was arguing with a journalist post race and he finally had enough and came out with that awesome quote where he said "if you don't go for a gap you are no longer a racing driver". That was in regards to another time of him crashing out trying to overtake. Max reminds me a lot of Senna. Just with less flowery language haha.
For Mr Windsor. Lando had been told straight up, no nonsense or confusion, to kill the engine and wait for the 10 minutes to have the track be given clear. So there is no excuse for Lando driving off, and even less for the FIA not punishing it. This has been a clown show, and the FIA has been a disgrace.
If Max was British would be naming their kids and pets Max and he’d be knighted. Wrong passport. The British press need their passes pulled for not showing up at the press conference. Johnny Herbert has no more business being a steward than Jos Verstappen.
Max maybe did get a free pitstop but Lando did get free places and that twice. Great men don't ask for favors they take the advanced. Nobody noticed, that Lando always tried to overtake on the wrong side. Max did give a masterclass on how to do it right.
The way Zack Brown has been behaving recently it sounded like his words were coming from Norris' mouth. I don't believe those words were his, but Zack's.
Max wanted to become a F1 driver, and he became one at the age of 16. His other dream was to become a world champion, and is now a 3 time world champion at the age of 27.Of course he wanted to have some financial security, and he will probably the first F1 driver to become a miljardair .So does anyone really believes that Max is interested in the opinion of middle of the road drivers like Johnnie Herbert, Martin Brundle or Damon Hill? Not one of those three was on the same level as Senna, Schumacher or Max.
Lando has no respect. Not for Max's trophy he broke, not for advice from Peter, or for when he has been beaten by brilliant drive by Max on Sunday. After that comment that Max's success was luck I have no respect left for Lando either.
I just saw that Charles was asking his team what the fastest lap was and his engineer just said “charles don’t ask”. They saw max setting lap after lap and didn’t want to give him encouragement to go even faster lol
Max's driving was off masterclass, just like he did in brazilian rain years before. A good car helps alot of corse but this was pure driving skills, others had good cars to but didnt come close to what max did.
He is, Lando is just not as good. It's Lando's 6th year. The team have given him an great car and more data than he could wish for. It's like the Rici meme, looking at the data to lose P1 on the first lap.
You tried, but Peter is a Lando fan. He can’t admit Lando mistakes and blamed everyone around him except Lando. Lando had a Rocket ship for the past 10 races, if he is as good as Max those races would have been translated into 260 points.
Point is , max had some races throughout his career , we are still talking about.... and thats what makes racing exciting.....something special....and not a parade.
Max was amazing but the Alpine boys were fairly close behind him (19 to 22 seconds). The conditions were horrible. Lando? I hope McLaren trade him for Esteban or Pierre. The happiness and joy of the Alpine boys in their interviews after the race made my day. The British media? Well they should have stuck around as George Russell's 4th place was very good. He was right on the Alpine boys at the end.
I honestly wasn't expecting Oscar to even try to defend against Max. He is thinking next year. You can't be fighting for Lando with your own car. It's only to Oscar's benefit if Max beats Lando for him. I think he saw it coming and shrugged his shoulders. We all knew it was coming, even the cameras where on it for a reason.
Watching since 1978 South African GP .... Off course Jodi ( I'm South African but liked his name more than the fact he was a countryman 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣) was my hero but he retired that day with basically more than half the field !!! Anyway I have seen a lot of races over the years and some brilliant drivers .... Verstappen caught my eye early on as i liked his aggressive approach and no bull attitude, was kinda nostalgic as that's the way i got to know racing drivers. Remember telling my friends watching Brazil 2016 ... "Guys this kid is going to be the next Legend in F1" They all laughed at me because most was Lewis fans 😉..... Two of my friends called me Sunday night saying ... "Your'e legend has arrived mate !!"
People may not remember this, but only Max's second Grand Prix was Malaysia 2015. On a soaking wet track he qualified in 6th. The race was dry and he finished in the points, but he showed his capabilities in the wet already then. And we have seen so many great wet races by Max but this one topped it all. This was one of the greatest F1 drives you'll ever seen. Whilst Max was setting fastest lap after fastest lap, most of the other drivers were busy just staying on the track .
To be fair, British press was very positive about Max performance in Brasil. Hopefully, they keep it fair and objective. Peter is mostly positive. Yes Max has his quirks. But that is what we love. We don't hate Lewis, Senna, or Schumacher. They weren't always fair. They drove aggresive to
Lewis has to be mentioned in the same breath. His style may look different now, but Lewis was very much the same in his younger years. All four great champions. And I feel like I need to add this disclaimer: I’m a Dutch Max fan.
You know when two people you've tangled with on and off the track go out of their way to tell you it was a hell of a drive that you just drove one of the best races in F1 history.
Funny Lando didn't say it was bad luck when they threw the red flag late and it allowed most drivers to get their quali lap in, but it affected Max. Didn't get out of Q2 when he had a very fast car. Lando also didn't say it was bad luck Max had to change his engine and get shoved further down the field. So I guess when he got humiliated in his race performance on Sunday, Max was just lucky. Hell, even when Oscar won in Baku, Peter had no good words to say about him, and spent most of his time talking about Lando, Oscars win in Hungary, all Peter could talk about was how Lando shouldn't have moved over for Oscar, and that Oscars move at the start was questionable, then in Monza criticised Oscars move at the start again. He takes every opportunity he can to put Oscar down.
I used to consider Peter to be one of the most unbiased, and honest reviews of any race, but wow, is his nose so far up Lando's ass right now.

As a British Fan, I thought Max was an impetuos kid, But since then wow. Most Talented Driver since Schumaker Clearly
You must have been very new to the sport or taken too much info from chauvinist British press because Max has shown his talent countless times. All the British press does is picking on and enlarging the negatives, ignoring or down talking positives, it's just so petty, pathetic really. The sport should celebrate a talent like him but both press and FIA try to do anything against him for not being British. Where was all the negative when Lewis kept on winning for years? Just ask Fernando how it is to not be British in the sport.
P.s.: It's Schumacher 😜
@@yspegelyea its ridiculous. Also the crashstappen stuff is ridiculous. If we look at all incidents since 2021:

Baku sprint: George driving into him
Sao Paolo Hamilton Max again

When sir Lewis and Fernando congratulate you because of your drive then you really accomplished something. I really hope that the media cools down a bit, because it was getting ridiculous. No British press present during the post race press conference was just a total lack of respect towards Ocon Gasly and Max. Maybe even more towards the first two, because two drivers on the podium for Alpine is comparable with any other top team winning the championship. Seems like sky don't like French or Dutch drivers.

The combination of press bias, denial and improper coaching of Lando is a stupid loosing strategy
Lando said it was not talent but just luck for Max. But I think it was “JUST MAX” !!!
I think he refers to the safety car. I mean this was luck so that he could change tyres for free. Nevertheless the drive was outstanding and probably would have been outstanding without the safety car. But if max would have ended up first without driving in clean air isn't guaranteed.
@@halfbrain86I know what he meant…but the fact that Max was right behind them before they pitted means that Max had done a good job to get there on his own…and he had luck with the safety car too in Miami…Max didn’t say that he was lucky but praised Lando for his driving.
By the way…he said specifically “not talent”…that is enough to understand what he’s saying. Pretty silly actually, I think nobody will say that Max has no talent, even if they would hate him.
Sad comment from Lando a bit bitter c’mon
He was talking about safety car just like he said he was lucky with safety car in Miami,
He's refering to his own race. Stop pretending to be stupid.
Always so refreshing to hear Mr. Windsor's take on everything. Appreciate all your interviews with him! I was a bit miffed with Lando after those comments but then Mr. Windsor is right and I'm glad to hear his opinion. We get carried away by those interviews and forget to take them within the context they were given. Lando is in the eye of the storm in what could be the most chaotic and intense year of his life. Max has been there many times. As a Max fan I can appreciate that. Thank you both for bringing intelligent discourse and respect to this very heated stage of the championship!
Lando being so salty is simply lovely. Max can quench his thirst on Lando’s tears 😂
We've all seen the true character of Lando... He's always been a squeamish, emo little b***h if you've watched him closely for the last 4-5 years.
As if Lando has any tears left.
Brazil never disappoints. What a race! Super Max and very good race for Alpine.
Just like he did with Hamilton
I agree with Windsor about the young drivers. If you are really something special, then you show yourself right away. A clear example is Hamilton in 2007, Verstappen in 2015 and Leclerc in 2018.
