Watching the pass that Max made at Turn 3 very early in the race woke me up immediately, the rest of the race was a continuous repetition of WOW!! This race absolutely cements Max as one of the very greatest - ever.............
he is the greatest, raw speed and skills he is number one. Its hard to measure tho, people look at titles etc. I look at other drivers quotes, data, footage, he is by far the best in the world and the best all time.
I think Max also knew that if HE did anything like what what Norris did at the restart after the first red flag that Johnny Herbert would have treated him very differently and would have given him a heavy time penalty. This was Max showing Johnny Herbert: you can try all you want to help and favour Norris and to penalise me more and harder than any other driver .... in the end I will outrace not only Norris and McLaren but also YOU. On track were F1 belongs. Not sitting behind a desk like you.
absolutely. they tried giving him so much shit over the smallest thing (while lando gets away with a very blatant violation of regulations) and yet he was simply unstoppable. a big “fuck you” performance from max to the british media and biased steward!
I am still speechless that Merc got away with a violation of a technical directive with a slap on the wrist. And a break of the rules with the abandoned start. It seems only Max can collect race penalties, everyone else gets a get-out-of-jail-free card. You know what, it wasn't rain in the race, it was Johnny Herbert's and the stewards' tears.
Oh you’re not wrong there. These largely biased British stewards Derek Warwick I think is the other Brit steward. They both do their damndest to try to prevent Max winning his 4th title and/or to keep the title battle going till the last race! Think Max will probably take the title after in Qatar unless Lando gets a DNF in Las Vegas.
The FIA conceded that they'd fucked up the restart procedure, not letting all mechanics onto the grid for the full time allowed. That's why Merc got to do the tyre pressures (to legal standards) without taking them off the cars.
@@azapro911 Ooohhhh right. It was an "honest mistake", yes? LIke when they underfueled their car... Get out! And the FIA didn't screw up anything, the procedure for an abandoned start is clear. And some drivers knew the rules. Ignorance of rules is not an excuse! But of course, since British drivers would have got a penalty, they simply ignored it. And no, a 5k fine is not a penalty in F1.
@@Arsenic71Allowing mechanics to get to their cars in time is also clear. The FIA didn't do that and 'fessed up to the stewards, who put it in their report. My mate had so much hate for Redbull and Max it's unhealthy. We argued on the Saturday about him being a wet weather rain master.. I fully promoted Max to be shut down time and time again.. Oh how I gloated on the Sunday. He even threatened to block me. Haha Thanks for that Max. 🧡
@k3corvette35 nah.. He was a Redbull fan until that last lap.. He loves racing. We both cheer for everyone. But he's found a viserol hatred the last few years. He fully boycotted last season entirely. I'm nearly 50 so grew up with Senna and the rest. Followed Max since he drove CRG karts as a boy. Obvious back then he was a generational driver. I've mates in Silverstone working for Aston and I know a guy who works at Brackly and I lived a few miles down the road from Brixworth. Drove the Petronas Merc truck that our logistics company owned. WCC is the real comp.. WDC is for the public entertain and or argument. Then Gasly and Ocon on the podium was super special. Great race.
He's worse when actually pissed off, i remember Spain 2022 and Hungary 2024. But when he feels the car is in the right place and he has the pressure (especially when hunting others down) he is at his very best.
@@TheMissiIe How convenient. The car that was quickest with an alleged illegal rear brake balance that suddenly lost that advantage for 9 races is suddenly the "best" again. Almost like the alleged illegal rear brake mechanism was back.... "almost".... Ah yes, that'll be Red Bull. Who has been taken in by this sudden "improvement" to the car and driver? Not me.
@brmh1667 everything you said can be dismissed by a few sentences. The break system RB used was NOT illegal (you idiots never seem to get that part). It created an "unfair advantage" by exploiting a loophole, just like McLaren's flex wing. Then FIA said that break system can no longer be used, then RB changed to a different system... but facts aren't important to you I guess. I love how you think the old break system is back because RB are fast again... well it's just Max, Checo is still a bottom 3 driver.. what does that say about your claim that the car is fast? Can't you imbeciles admit that Max is 10x the driver of anyone else on the grid?
This brazilian gp was best race I've ever seen. After watching the actual race, the post race shows and interviews, the highlights, the more technical analysis and all that, I still can't get over it. Just wow
Watched the race twice, back to back. Never done that before. Once with f1tv commentary and once with sky. Might watch it once more with the Dutch commentary ;)
Lawson is already showing racecraft well beyond his time in F1. His qualifying is brilliant, his starts have been second to none, clean passing all while being kind on rubber. He is the real deal. The British press should be talking more about this kid.
This is so refreshing. I absolutely loved this conversation between Eddie and DC. No polite nonsense and British favoritism, just calling a spade a spade. More of this, please! 👍
Max is simply an extraordinary talent. I’m from Indianapolis and have been going to the Indy 500 for decades. Seen all the greats including Jimmy Clark win in 65. Andretti, Foyt, Gurney, Mansell , Unser, etc. Max is among the greats!
Finally someone speaking the truth about Lando. He will never, ever get there unless he does what Eddie says. And if Lando doesn't get some hard truth from a mentor or whoever, Piastri will eat Lando for breakfast next year. Not to mention other drivers.
I have to agree with Eddie. Being fast and winning some races is completely different to being a world champion. How can you claim, after his massive fumble at Brazil, that Lando is the real deal? Being 'WDC material' is always relative to the best driver on the grid, and Lando is not even close to Max' level.
Max showing his rain masterclass once again. 2 times this year Lando fumbled in wet conditions, China and Brazil. Should have seen Damon Hill, it felt like his soul died that day.
@@golanheights9000 No he should have, over and over. Jos the iron fist father of Max forced him to drive around his kart everytime is was raining! When Max complained that his fingers turned blue he told him to heat them up with the engine cover. And then did i mention karts back then had no rain tyre and Max was 8 starting racing in karts? People think it's Max having talent in the rain... well yes but there is way more behind it. Yes offcourse i don't agree with those iron hand methods but you can't deny it more often then not gives results. Some fathers find that more important then discomfort on their kids.
Canada and Silverstone too. His Inexperience and lack of confidence in making decisions was quite visible there. He relied on his team to the job which was in reality his to do.
Damon had the fastest car 4 times and won 1 title. He just has a natural hate for people like Max and Michael who always win the title when they have the fastest car, and even manage to win titles without the fastest car.
He didn't need to do that, did he? Eddie's homage says all. Why chew around on the comments of his closest contender, mind you moments after the race, realised that his dream of a World Championship won't come true in 2024...
@@basbastiaans5396 come on you can't justify him saying that just because he said it moments after the race and in that state. These guys have been giving media interviews since they were kids, they do know how to respond to situations like this. I feel that was just Lando being petty, just like him after Hungary when he said "I won't be friends with Max if he doesn't apologize" - like what are you a kid?
It's good to see two British men who are experts in formula one. giving Max his due .and not like the British media who scrapped away and Lando with his petty lip
I'm Dutch and while I wouldn't neccesary consider myself a hardcore Verstappen fan, I obviously am happy with how things are unfolding now in the end. Apart from this, Max has been showing what it takes to win the championship all season, even when he didn't always have the car to win. But I think we also should cut Lando some slack. Let's be real: for quite a few years he has been one of the big talents in the sport, but never quite competed consistently at that top level (nor did he have the car to do so). And still entered the season as Lando NoWins, and can you truly fight for a title if you're still fighting for your first win? But then suddenly everything changes, suddenly he is seen as the top favorite and basically HAS to win. And as much as there's the British bias against Max, that also creates a lot of pressure on him, they will be absolutely savage if he doesn't deliver. It all requires a certain mindset he never needed to have yet. I think he'll learn a lot from this, and will start the next season as a very different man. No longer going into the season happy go lucky just to get some nice results and maybe finally get that elusive win, but now with one clear goal: Be the best of all, whatever it takes. Fight fire with fire. Next season is gonna be epic!
I think he may have a hard time battling Piastri. That young man is no slouch either and he will definitely not want to be relegated to the status of a number two driver.
@@mariodriessen9740 true, and that dynamic is also part of why I expect next season to be so great. And let's be real: If he truly wants to go for the title , Oscar is the first one he has to beat. That said, I do think Lando is a step further in his carreer, and while Oscar has shown great promise over and over again, he also has to learn to be more consistent and maximize results. Max isn't so much gonna be champion for that half of the season he might have had the fastest car. He'll be champion because he got everything he could out of the half when the car was failing him. That's a lesson anyone who wants to take him on has to learn.
I think this is the most balanced comment I've ever read and it echoes the same thoughts I had. People are quick to rain down criticism when he doesn't perform even if he has the car to do so. It's a clear sign that he has a lot of learning to do and a complete shift in mentality to be able to go toe to toe with Max and give him a proper challenge. Not to mention the fact that he has one hell of a teammate in the battle as well.
Next year his biggest competitor will be Piastri, who also took his first wins and learned that if he vvdoesn’t beat Lando in the first few races he will be number 2 again
It’s doesn’t make the cars entirely equal: if you’ve got a high downforce wet weather setup, you’re going to be quicker than someone who gambled on a dry or intermediate setup.
@@davidecolelli8275 Ferrari will be fighting itself. Although.. I have to say they made some better calls lately, if they keep this up... you might be right!
Excatly! I think Norris nor McLaren don't understand how big of deal this is.. This could've been THE ONLY shot Norris will ever have to win a championship! 18+ races with a faster car than Verstappen.. And he completely fumbled it. I've some Massa (2008) and Webber (2010) vibes.. If your not a top 3-5 driver; those changes are VERY VERY rare
in actuality, it should be a 10 stop and go penalty. But since they kept prolonging it after the race, it should be a grid penalty, instead of a measly fine. To makes matter worst, they focused on that "this will not set a precedent", So, it is special treatment for lando and russell.
Max was forced to step in his kart everytime it rained by Jos! When Max complained about his fingers turning blue Jos said there is an engine cover heat them up on it. Stop complaining and drive! Max was 7 and rain tyre's on karts wasn't a thing. That's how you lay down the basis of driving in the rain, talent and experience will give you a chance to master it. By the time he was 8 and started to race in karts in 2006 well let's say it like this don't take my word check out the wiki but he won all 21 races in the belgium mini class he attended.. In 2007 all 17 mini class races in belgium and all 4 races in the Dutch mini class he attended. It's really no accident he was the youngest ever to enter f1.
@@randar1969 yes, there are different compounds, already in the 90ies for 100CC and 125 CC. Not really a free choice of tires as that's mostly all regulated per series. Eddie is right, and another thing if Lando wants to be a world champion he should start learning now to drive in wet weather conditions because it is important if you are fighting for the Championship. At the moment Max is the best in this category but aside from him there are also some drivers in the grid that’s good in wet weather. Lando should learn the technical aspects in wets. Another thing he should change his attitude towards his peers when driving brilliantly and not to comment ridiculous comment that damage his reputation and learn how to accept defeats with no excuses.

Coulthard is a die hard Red Bull man and still supports Landos career, Eddie is tough as nails but fair as a critic. These two combined I could listen to for hours!!
The one who got lucky was Lando Norris. Verstappen got screwed by a late red flag during Q2: P12. And also got an engine penalty of 5 places: P17. Well Lando didn't get screwed during qualifying or got and engine penalty did he? It ended up with Lando starting from P1 and Max starting from P17 during a crucial time in the championship battle. So who was the lucky one?

Max absolutely was world class. He is very smart and obviously talented. What car control. The two Alpine boys did a great job as well. Best ever? Probably. Eddie was in Suzuka in 1994 when Damon Hill had a pretty amazing drive to beat Schumacher in the rain. Suzuka and Interlagos are two very tricky tracks. Mansell finished 3rd in 1994 in his best final drive in F1 with an incredible duel with Jean Alesi in the Ferrari..
Max winning this years title is his MAGNUM OPUS. The RB20 was fastest in only 5 GPs (which in 4 he finished).. He's winning the championship in a car that ends 3rd in the constructors and was the fastest at only 17% of the tracks. Incredible! I don't think we've ever seen this. And we'll never ever will again.
Eddie is on to something here. Lando is self-critical in front of the microphone but not willing to change, keeps making the same mistakes. He thinks his style of driving is the best there is. He should indeed look back at the footage of Lewis, Max and other great champions.
Exactly. And he constantly says the team doesn’t make mistakes either!! He AND THE TEAM don’t SEE that they ARE making mistakes! And thus they will never learn from their mistakes….. They first need to truly acknowledge their mistakes!
Dear David because you are in the same bracket as Norris giving away wins etc you will never call him out for what Norris said about Max.Thank GOD Eddie tells the truth.
The very first f1 race I ever watched was Barachello's '99 win on dry tires in the wet, with rain on half of the track. It was an outstanding drive. Max's win felt like that. The rain could not slow Max down. He found grip where it shouldn't be. No one could match him. I'll remember this one for a long time.
People give Marko a lot of flack for his way of dealing with drivers (partially correct) but if you are doing things wrong, he will tell you. Which is exactly the thing Lando needs! How can he learn to be a champion if his team keeps making excuses and telling him he does nothing wrong? I'm not even sure his time will even come because this year might've been it. He had the best car for most of the races, his teammate was still finding his feet and ferrari/mercedes weren't that dangerous. From next year forward he will have Piastri knocking at the top and he'll want his piece of the action after giving up places this year, Ferrari is looking crazy fast and red bull is fixing it's problems.
It’s not what you say, but how you say! That’s Markos problem among other personality traits. He enjoys being a provocateur, whether his statements are true or not!

Lando needs to grow up and he will come back a better driver. Max needed to grow up then he met Kelly Piquet, having a child to care for and being part of the Piquet family has made a huge difference. He said as much. They are a very close and supportive family nice to see Nelson Snr, Nelson Jnr and co there on Sunday for him. I think Lando has lost self belief and the way the British Media built him up demonised Max, it is Piquet/Mansell again and whereas Nelson had created a not bothered about the media persona, Nigel and Lando much more sensitive drivers. Unfortunately Nelson’s way of coping then has made the newer generation think he is a horrible person and that has rubbed off on Max through association. Just look up the story of Nelson, Frank Williams and the adapted phone after his accident. That is Nelson. Fan since 1979, a headline about him ‘ flying in the face of adversity’ during 1983 he never lost the belief he would beat Prost that year. I would love to hear what Nelson and Max talk about!! I like Lawson, Lewis attitude has been disappointing this year, and to hear him saying he can’t wait to leave the team that gave him six World Championships and gave him the use of Valteri Bottas as a wingman, causing him mental anguish according to Valteri. Seb has always had a passion for Ayrton, Michael was a paradox, he was in awe of Ayrton but was not adverse to cheating against him with the Benetton in 1994 applying a lot of pressure for that final race. Lewis has just marketed it better for his own self promotion, sorry to say it. He has the McLaren connection, he is good at celebrity he latched onto the Senna family, after Adrianne treatment at his funeral, their judgement has allowed them to be exploited. As a Senna fan I think Serbs tribute at Imola was the ultimate. Would have liked to have seen Bruno, Ruhbino or even Emerson Fittipaldi drive it. It was not a time for Lewis to be ego boosting it was about the legacy of a man who changed my life, I recycle to raise funds for three projects in Africa. I have taught my adopted son in Kenya about Ayrton, I screenshot the races and we watch them together that way. He is a Russell and Sainz fan! Seb is a man of action behind the scenes, Lewis likes the publicity and adoration. You guys knew Ayrton, I was a SUPER FAN I made sure I met him but I was as shy as he was! In those days you didn’t live through a camera lens and always had your mum nagging about cost of photo development. My brother took one picture of me next to him, patiently waiting for him to sign my autograph book! I am basically looking at my brother with the expression ‘oh my goodness Ayrton Senna! This was before I topped that by writing a book of One hundred poems and dispatching to team Lotus. Next thing we knew ( friend had better bigger writing) it was featured in the Lotus magazine and we found out they had given it to him personally. They said about getting a photo signed when he came back from winter break for the 1987 season. Out the blue a letter came addressed by him on the envelope. Nearly having a conniption fit at that point, there was a written notecard and two signed photos with lots of love to us both!, Ayrton was a man of words but very much a man of actions behind the scenes. 🇧🇷💕🇧🇷💕 Eddie and David loving this channel your interview with Gerhard had me laughing and crying, I don’t always agree with everything but that’s what it is about. Curious to know if Eddie watched Bernie’s Netflix documentary and whether that was really how Michael’s move to Benetton went down. Having Bernie on here would be amazing with fans questions. Would love to ask a few! I wanted to be a racing journalist but as a girl growing up in the 80s was not possible I did get some articles published. I did subscribe to the Brabham satirical mag Cobra, would love to know Bernie’s thoughts on some of the topics in there. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Collectors items at least £20 a copy!!!
Eddie is right about Lando! I think, like Nico Rosberg, he should use the winter break to get a champion mentality! And as an extra learn to know when to shut up. It's okay for him to get frustrated, but stupid reactions then are no excuse. That is not being appreciated. If he has trouble expressing himself, then media training is a must for him.
It's very difficult to describe the talent that Max has if you've never raced an automobile on a track against other drivers. The feeling of control over a race car at high speed is one of the most exhilarating and frightening feelings one can experience. The number of times a driver can lose control on a single lap is beyond comprehension, and yet Max can repeat identical laps over and over again, in all conditions. It's beyond "talent". It's a gift that cannot be developed by practice. You either have it, or you don't. Max has it.
as a fellow fan, i concur that we NEED to see John Watson on the show! and get Heinz-Harald Frentzen on another day while you're at it, i'm sure him and EJ might have some unfinished business with each other...😅
Ty David and Eddie, you are the two most honest Englishman who judge this sport on the sport and not the person. Dear David and Eddie, I go a long way back in F1 in my life, seeing david stepping in at Williams as a full race driver after that sad weekend in Imola, and Eddie seeing him rise as a team manager for JordanGP. For me, the Jordan 191 was one of the most beautiful F1 cars of the 90's, and you maiden win at Spa in 1998 was an emotional roller coaster to watch. That remind me, David, your shunt on the first lap triggered that mayhem wich Eddie took that great result. Great to see your guys still going strong 👍👍
The whole trick of F1 is that when you have a chance you take it and when you don't have a chance you create it. There are not many capable of this, or maybe better said, hungry enough to be absolutely ruthless on the decisive moments.
Here here for EJ singling out Lawson for a special mention! Lawson was never touted as the 'second coming' in the same way that other potential rookies were (Antonelli etc.) BUT he has absolutely rocked it and shown he is not only fast but is super-composed and confident (actually reminds me of Piastri in a way - who most teams would sign in an instant). I agree Lawson should be in the Red Bull ASAP!!!! This year preferably so he can acclimatize before start of next season. It would be a travesty if he's not on the grid next year.
Yep .. totally agree. Money and politics have a massive bearing on F1 and it has never been a meritocracy despite the noise saying so. Lawson is genuine, but amazingly he still doesn’t have a seat for next year. Screwed by Marko when de Vries was parachuted in, then screwed by Horner for Danny Ric. Best of luck Liam ..

💯
absolutely. they tried giving him so much shit over the smallest thing (while lando gets away with a very blatant violation of regulations) and yet he was simply unstoppable. a big “fuck you” performance from max to the british media and biased steward!
Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@azapro911why the rest of the grid didn’t have the same problem? You could see the McLaren without the wheels for them to adjust the tire pressure.
But hey, perhaps you're right, I mean the FIA have done really helpful things for Mercedes like make up new rules to steal championships from them...
My mate had so much hate for Redbull and Max it's unhealthy.

Great race.
Not true f1 fan then when can't appreciate max
Max is actually better when he’s under pressure or pissed
Mad Max = best Max
He's worse when actually pissed off, i remember Spain 2022 and Hungary 2024.
But when he feels the car is in the right place and he has the pressure (especially when hunting others down) he is at his very best.
Jos would crash if he would get angry. Dutch people gave Jos stupid nicknames for it 😂

Lando kindly gave up his position twice. Just not to his teammate
That is team work in action! Ferrari are renowned for it with Shuy/Jordan !
Tha's the role of number 2 drivers
Lando will never be world champion if he doesn’t study how Verstappen drive 😂😂😂😂
Granted oscar had to since he had a 10 second penalty in the race, might as well let Lando pass since its not for position.
Now cover Herbert being corrupt and not punishing Merc for the technical infringement as he's required to do in the regulations

I have to agree with Eddie. Being fast and winning some races is completely different to being a world champion. How can you claim, after his massive fumble at Brazil, that Lando is the real deal? Being 'WDC material' is always relative to the best driver on the grid, and Lando is not even close to Max' level.
I believe Lando is slightly less talented than Russell and Leclerc.
Max showing his rain masterclass once again. 2 times this year Lando fumbled in wet conditions, China and Brazil. Should have seen Damon Hill, it felt like his soul died that day.
Lando has an epic list of rain disasters. He shouldn't be out there in those conditions.
David do you believe in fairy tales?
Damon had the fastest car 4 times and won 1 title. He just has a natural hate for people like Max and Michael who always win the title when they have the fastest car, and even manage to win titles without the fastest car.

Next season is gonna be epic!
mand
Rain makes all cars equal, but divides the drivers into bad, good and the best
What does that tell us about Ocon and Gasly?

What ever time penalty he should receive it had to be during the race. Afterwards you can tailor the penalty so it does not influence the race results
Or a grid penalty for the next race. Which is the norm. But not when JH is doing steward.
in actuality, it should be a 10 stop and go penalty. But since they kept prolonging it after the race, it should be a grid penalty, instead of a measly fine. To makes matter worst, they focused on that "this will not set a precedent", So, it is special treatment for lando and russell.

Out the blue a letter came addressed by him on the envelope. Nearly having a conniption fit at that point, there was a written notecard and two signed photos with lots of love to us both!,
Ayrton was a man of words but very much a man of actions behind the scenes. 🇧🇷💕🇧🇷💕
Eddie and David loving this channel your interview with Gerhard had me laughing and crying, I don’t always agree with everything but that’s what it is about.
Thank you for that ..very interesting..... and I tend to agree with everything you wrote.
Wow what a great podcast gentlemen , subscribed and liked ❣
What a lovely guy Eddie Jordan is.
Brilliantly done gentlemen
Eddie is right about Lando!
I think, like Nico Rosberg, he should use the winter break to get a champion mentality! And as an extra learn to know when to shut up. It's okay for him to get frustrated, but stupid reactions then are no excuse. That is not being appreciated. If he has trouble expressing himself, then media training is a must for him.
He could really learn through Nicos example. I think a lot of the "underdogs" should
Great episode gents. Thank you.
From 17 to 1 WITHOUT DRS!
We missed you here in Brazil, David! Hope to see you here next year!
Max has it.
This podcast has excellent knowledgeable speakers and a great chemistry. Keep it up. This will grow fast.
as a fellow fan, i concur that we NEED to see John Watson on the show! and get Heinz-Harald Frentzen on another day while you're at it, i'm sure him and EJ might have some unfinished business with each other...😅
Asked Frentzen he said no not forgiven ej
@@Time4utubewhats the beef?
Neither are English
@@donaldfarquar Scottish 🤐🤐 I embarrest myself here
Exactly if max jumped the restart he would have be crucified
The whole trick of F1 is that when you have a chance you take it and when you don't have a chance you create it. There are not many capable of this, or maybe better said, hungry enough to be absolutely ruthless on the decisive moments.
I don't agree with everything the great EJ says, but I can only agree with his take on this.
Eddie is just being truthful. The rest of the world can see that Lando has the minerals but he is still has a lot to learn. Dropping the ball SO MANY TIMES on the start...
DC goes on to say that the only way Norris can win is with what? LUCK! HA!
Great channel two guys who really know what they’re talking about.
Piastri is better than norris... better mcalren focus just on constructers championship. let driver fight fairly
Lando is clearly quicker right now
@@jaja8022 "clearly quicker" I do not think so, even with mclaren favouring lando, oscar beat him in sprint quali and was ordered to let him through in the sprint. On top of that, I do not think the pace gap is actually super clear, and you have to consider how mclaren screwed over oscar early in the season more than they did lando.
@@tuna5618 norris has some good racepace and is more consistent. Piastri has some good moments and the next race he is nowhere. Piastris strength is qualifying and Norrks beats him 18-3 there
Norris is not top 5 driver in F1.
Only fools don't see that.
@@tuna5618 I've to agree with him.. Piastri (at least this season so far) has a lot of Carlos Sainz in him.. 1 amazing race, 1 good race and 3 races mehhh, 1 amazing race, 3 mehhh..
After Baku I thought; he's figured it out.. Singapore he was oookaayy.. Followed by 3 complete dogshit performances.. To beat Norris in a championship fight: he has to have a better quali record vs him than 17-4. That's just bad!
And may I remind you, this is vs. Norris.. Not Verstappen.
Eddie needs to be careful. The British press holds grudges. lol.
Be careful about pissing Max off. It just gets him focus.
The British press has been irrelevant to most people under 70 for a long time, and Max just highlighted it like Trump did with the American press.
