Don't mess with Filipinos. I am a retired American Soldier living in Mindanao. I am married to a Filipina. There are 200,000 American citizens here, and 50,000 of us are ex-military. In wartime, the Philippines flips their flag upside down with the red stripe up. They will be out for blood. The Communist Chinese would have to fight all 115 million of them plus us Americans. They fight dirty. The Spaniards were here for 400 years and never conquered all of these islands. The Japanese were here for 4 years and never conquered all of it with superior equipment. There are 1,007 islands here. It is a tactical and logistical nightmare. There are places in Mindanao where even I don't go. Imagine fighting 115 million Manny Pacquiaos with machine guns. 🇺🇸🇵🇭

Not what you think. If the war erupts against china. Their missiles will come first like what Russia did to Ukraine. They will attack our communications towers first. Secondly they will destroy our warships. Then thirdly they will attack our airports so that our air assets could not respond to them. Fourth invasion and how can we defend accordingly if we already lost men to defend us. Do you think we have a missile interceptor yet? In short we are not mentally and physically prepared for war.
I always remember why General MacArthur said - "Give me ten thousand Filipino Soldiers and I will conquer the world." We may have small numbers but we make up for it with the tactics/strategy and experience. China may have forgotten the experiences that Filipinos Soldiers have when it comes to combat or they probably forgot what happened to The Battle of Yultong in Korea, Approximately forty thousand Chinese People's Volunteer Army against the 900 Filipio soldiers and still they can't move on their offensive while the Filipino soldiers are defending it.

The Philippines has been fighting war since the spanish era.. to Filipino American war to japanese occupation in world war 2 until now still at war with insurgency... It is one of the most battle hardened military in the world
We have fought against world powers - against the Spanish Empire when we were still a mere colony, against America when our republic was less than a year old, against the Japanese Empire when we had no reinforcement from Pearl Harbor.
The young Filipinos, some at least, are so defeatist. Wala naman daw tayo ibubuga kaya pasensya na lang daw. Eh wala rin namang armas ang Pilipino nung lumaban against empires and world powers.

We've been trained since birth by our beloved mother. Our parents trained us to be agile like assassins and grow with the highest pain tolerance. Imagine dodging your mothers whips out of bamboo sticks, slippers up to clothes hangers. Somehow even without receiving formal military training, Filipinos have developed fighting skills through their parents and endures hardships like hell.😅. Don't try to fight the Filipinos in our motherland. The blood of the would be conquerors will just enrich our soils..

Remember the battle of Yultong in the Korean war. The Chinese retreated when they faced the Filipino contingents . In fact Filipino soldiers were outnumbered in that battle.

I remember as a kid when the Communist Chinese invaded Vietnam in 1979. The North Vietnamese had just defeated the US as it withdrew in 1973 and defeated the South Vietnamese in 1975. The unified Communist Vietnamese has had collective combat experience since WWII from fighting the formidable Imperial Japanese Army, Colonial French, dedicated US, and lack luster South Vietnamese. The Chinese had no chance on the battlefield in combat against the Vietnamese who were outflanking Chinese units and destroying them in combat. Combat experience to maneuver quickly and inflict massive losses, stop an enemy from crushing you before they can gather strength. The following year the Communist Chinese lost the war of invasion in 1980. The Vietnamese are tough soldiers. The Chinese Military have military exercises that are scripted almost mechanical motions like the Soviet Russians where the outcome is more for show than the quality of what their leaders and subordinates learned from training.

General MacArthur has a very genuine love for the Filipino people especially the Philippine Brigade in Korea. One battalion of Filipinos were cut off from the US 3rd Infantry Division, the Filipinos were smart to stock up on ammunition. Three Communist Chinese regiments attacked them all day for 48 hours until the Chinese retreated. the outcome was close to 4,000 dead Communist Chinese and the battalion had about 100 casualties. General Mac arrived at their position and was very happy, he gave out so many awards that the battalion earned the US Distinguished Unit and Valorous Unit Citation awards. Very few times in the history of combat that a small unit defeated an enemy force 5 times their size. General Mac had no doubt that the Filipinos were his favorite soldiers.
Proud to be a filipino😊well our armed forces we still possess a world war 2 equipment like ships, artillery and many more. We don't phase them out infact we still keep those things going and well maintained. We can still be used that in times of crisis 😅
Yes, it is true that a Filipino soldier is one of the best in the world, but the only problem for some Filipinos is that it is easy to bribe against fellow Filipinos for the sake of money. Sad, but true, and it is still happening.

Battle hardened indeed. Starting from the invasion of Spaniards, then Japan, then America. After gaining independence, the constant conflict between the NPA rebels that is already 50 yrs and still on going today. The battle between the rebel Moros in the autonomous regions, the Zamboanga siege, Marawi siege, the fight against terrorist Abu Sayaff. And if you remember the Korean War, our soldiers participated too. They dont just learn in textbooks and trainings but in the battlefield.

Every year the Filipino Soldiers underwent Balikatan Exercises and they know how to maintain and operates their equipment. Majority of them came from mountains and poor families who are very resilient of hardship. I heard the salary of the Soldiers in China has been cut due to their bad economy. It affected them Psychologically.

The CPLA may have 2M troops however, 500k troops are stationed in its borders with Russia, the rest spread out in its borders with India, Vietnam , north korea, taiwan straight.
It cannot use this troop against the Phillippines.
It lacks battle experience, jungle warfare, command and control, and maritime landing. Their last military wargames in preparation of Taiwan invasion was a fiasco.
The military weapons are of questionable quality. Its tanks need 30 minutes to fire again, its planes have low payload capacity, its carrriers are but for display purposes.
The Philippines on the other hand is backed up by 1M reserve. If the battle zone is in our area, that itself will put China at a disadvantage.
Our military has been in combat ..1896 to 1900 the Philippine Spanish War, 1900 to 1902 the Fil American War, the Philippine Insurrection up to 1913, World War 1 1914 1918, world war 2 (1941 to 1945), the Huk rebellion (1946 to 1950's), the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Moro Insurrection since the 1970s, the communist insurrection from the 1970s, the islamists way back in 2018. That is about124 years of continuos combat.
though China has a lot more soldiers , it cannot compare w/ the strong, well trained n battle ready Filipino soldiers especilly now that the Philippines have acquired more modern military equipments

10:15 how do you contend with a super soldier? Well unless America starts creating them, i doubt anyone else will. Look at how China released propaganda about their robot dogs with mounted guns lol. There's a reason why America aren't doing it, because they already looked at it from bostondynamics. they employ them but for auxilary or for carrying medicne but not for frontlines. there was a video explaining why - from them being very loud, lack ability to repair quickly on the field. and number 1 - battery doesn't last long enough.
So yeah, personal exo skeletons like that game where you deliver damn i forgot the title - i remember reading about supersoldiers in popular mechanics and popular science back in the 90s. Yes the US was looking at all of that back then. It's all about practicality and whether or not it's sustainable. Why bring something to the battlefield if they will end up breaking or just get in the way. Supersoldiers would probably feel all methed out and end up running in to the opponents just cause they are all cracked out. Might be good short term, but long term i doubt it. We'll see lol

The philipine armed forces is more experienced soldiers than chinese soldier, China have quantity, Philippines have quality when it comes on experience in fighting. We have lots of rebels in country so our arm forces exposed to jungle warfare, urban warfare. Chinese soldiers very lack experience when it comes to war.
The question is.. Can china be able to bring all these equipment and personel to the philippines in case a war broke out? They have 2 milion active soldiers but invade the philippines and they will face 90 million angry mob that would be willing to die for the tri colored flag. We can only stand by and watch for so long..
Philippines has so many battles like for example is insurgencies like the scout ranger before they graduate to the course the SR has a requirements to surpass the course it is the mission test the candidate soldier may face a true terrorist and true mission so I thought china has not similar to the Philippines in terms on real combat experienced 😊but finger cross🤞 no war again🥹

I mean, it also makes sense. Numbers don't lie, their military spending isn't even half of US, so how else would they maintain their equipment at such a good condition? Also, corruption is another thing to consider. In the US, corruption is mainly focused on politics, but in terms of military, I reckon is minimal and most of the money are actually being well spent in maintaining and acquiring equipment. While in China, most of their projects are tofudreg even in the military. Not only that, they didn't have the talent to innovate because they have been so used to relying on stealing and copying other nation's technology and products. Then they make it out of scratch, from the materials that THEY made, which leads to a lower quality.

recently you are underestimating Chinese Army training from high elevation lesser oxygen Tibet plateau, tundra environment on Russia, North Korean borders, ice on inner Mongolia, China, rainforest on southern China and desert terrain on Gobi desert of their own country, 60% of their army are trained multiple environment and some are specializes on specific environment, PLA's has a weekly war exercises on land, air and sea, each PLA's are carrying and equipt so much more sophisticated gadgets and weapons than AFP, like the satellite based communication system, infrared and x-ray vision that can track enemies on any land terrain, sea and air environment, PLA's has more environment specific trainings than AFP's only tropical environment
China's dedicated PLA's are living mostly of military life scenario and environment, don't underestimate them, according to global military experts analyst, PLA's is one of the top 5 most intensely trained soldiers in the world were AFP is not even in the top 20, and PLA's has more than 10 Million strong regular armies not including the special forces on Marines and SEAL, their militia army are much bigger than the population of the Philippines

Im a Filipino but i dont think Filipino Soldiers are Superior than chinesse military..in terms of Modern military war tactics ..it wasnt a hand to hand combat anymore..its not even a Rifles War... This about high technology weapons or arms who can operate them in precise and Wise tactics...and philippines are lock of that technology which china is superior than any asian countrys...if you go to war this days you are lucky if you die seeing an enemy Personel in the Battlefield...i repeat!! This is about Modern military warfare!! And the phillipines has nothing about it!!
I agree, a good majority of our people(filipinos) are just clueless about history & warfare. No doubt our soldiers have "TOP NOTCH" bravery. But the thing is, on PH soil, we lost ALL WARS, against the Spanish, British, Americans & the Japanese. Yeah we won a few battles against them, but we still ended up being conquered by these foreign invaders. Why?
A major reason would be the "lack /absence of weapons & supplies." During the many battles against the Spaniards & Americans, our people were so poorly armed, that in 10 persons, typically about 6 to 8 were only armed with either a BOLO, (machete) SPEAR, (bamboo/wood) KNIFE, and ONLY about 1 or 2 persons had a pistol or a rifle, sometimes no guns at all. They fought against opponents who all had rifles & pistols, and sometimes had cannons for artillery support.
In hindsight, if our people were equipped similarly as their enemy, the outcome of battles could have been different.
We brag as though we have won wars previously, but in reality, except for our bravery, there's really nothing to brag about.

Yes, a soldier needs to have bravery in combat, no doubt, but "bravery alone" cannot guarantee success in the battlefield, you'll need modern, adequate weaponry & supplies, adequate training using their weapon systems, good commander s & officers using good tactics, and a very supportive and patriotic citizenry who will help our boys(soldiers & reservists) in every way they can.
