I love that this pedal can go above and below unity. Sometimes you have the gain staging just right and you just want to have a pedal that adds "flavor" without gain or overdrive. This gets it man, love what Benson is doing. Amazing video as always man, thanks so much!!
SICKEST JAMS ON RUclips. 🤘😌🎸 Update: i couldn't stop thinking about how good this demo was, and this drove me to get yet another pedal from Demos in the Dark! Advertisers, this guy moves product!!! Get him to demo your stuff!! one more update, i come back frequently to this demo just to listen to this jam.
I still think the best boost is the TC electronic spark mini because of its interactive footswitch, which allows you to hold it down for just a short section, if needed, or permanently engage it for a longer section. Super affordable and takes up very little pedalboard real estate.
Hey. Love your demos. Before 5, does it cut volume? I'm really interested in this pedal but if it doesn't instantly start boosting, I feel like the first 5 notches are a bit redundant. Thanks
"Underdrives" can actually be pretty useful as a pseudo-volume pedal. Keep your amp hot as your crunch sound and turn on an "underdrive" for your clean sound.
@@6V6band prob not as cool as you may think , at least the way I used it. I used it to cut volume but in turn it was better with response through my amp (I was using fx after the fuzz)
Major Kudos to Benson for putting a BIG knob on it so you can fine tune that boost. NICE! Gonna have to find a hammer to open the piggie bank. How many rolls of pennies do I need?
saturn is a boost that very much accesses and manipulates the EQ of your signal. linear boosts don't do so. it's a clean boost with a little bit of germanium saturation, but very much stays out of the way. so they are different animals entirely.
This might just be the most Benson video I have ever seen.
I love it.

Damn, that’s what I call a pedal demo. Track and playing are tight as hell, love it.
I just love Benson. I want all their stuff.
i know this feeling in my soul.

A Benson Boosted Benson pre amp into a Benson Amp!!!

Compliments to your style and a very nice boost pedal. Takes me back to the Jeff Beck days. Toss in some Jan Hammer and prog rock was never the same.
WIRED FOREVER!
Kinda what I’ve been looking for, I’ve been using my dyna comp as a boost pedal
Nice demo. I like Andys demo dit demoing the clean up functionality
dude that jam was legit
Saw this video 3 times. Congrats Ryan, I just ordered one... (But in all seriousness, super stoked)
Yo! What kind of guitar is that!? It’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!
would have been nice to see how this plays with single coils. Also curious how it compared to the Mr Spaceman Germanium booster.
Check this video about a minute in when he swaps to the Tele. Absolutely killer sounding pedal :)

Such a very cool demo
Man I just wanna live in this video. Lol. So much benson goodness
Amazing production and fun (as always). But that riff with the fuzz … man, fucking TASTY!
a technical question. Do I get the same functions as the Benson Germanium Boost (green pedal) by setting the Benson germanium fuzz as a clean boost?
I was wondering this as well. Would have loved an answer to that.

Watch AndyDemos video on this Benson Germanium Boost and you may change your mind!

Thanks
hey thanks! it does in fact reduce volume below unity!

@@disthymia6929 bensons fuzz pedal does this perfectly! I used it for some guitar work but primarily trumpet!
@@jambajoby32 dude I would love to hear it on trumpet

Could a pedal like this, always kept on at the beginning of the effects chain (set to no more than 12:00), replace a buffer pedal?
I heard we can run it in front of a " standard "germanium fuzz ( like a fuzz face for exemple ) is it true ?
Yes it is!
I’m curious what your effects order was. Did you run the boost before or after the fuzz and benson preamp pedal? Sorry if I missed it in the video.
i stayed traditional and put it at the front of everything. ✌️

Woah, shades of Billy Gibbons at 10:53
How’s it compare to the Saturn 6? Great demo btw.

Damn great sexy bassline on the jam. Thick tone too
thanks!!!
Shame you couldn’t get George benson to play guitar on this demo. 😂
I do like rich top end guitar sounds!
you and me both, sir!
Are they work well with buffer before?
Which germanium transistor are we using here?
👍🏿🤘
Wish it had been the Vinny, but I’m still in.
vinny? vinny has been out for a bit!
@@DemosInTheDark A rumor was going around that it was a Vinny based one knob preamp pedal.
@@ericfarrell1625 oh weird!
That jam was so sexy
hey thanks!
Oh!!! It’s LINEAR!!! Ah…….
