Hey man....good video as usual. I dont know why ADs here in the UK (or in glasgow where I live)...remove the běžel protector...why is that do you reckon?...what Is there to gain from that?...Id it a full set in your mind if you dont have that?

Great Video, I never seem to get the white hang tag from the ED. I have been on wait list for explorer at Bhindi for about a year - is it time to give up? Thank for the great topics - writing this from Pricillas - maybe we can meet up one day.
Hi Tony. My Rolex AD didn’t give me the white tag. I didn’t realise it was needed to make my watch a ‘full set’. Should I go back and ask for it? I’m sure they said at the time that they had to keep that white tag. Thanks for your advice.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Thanks. Will do. Keep up the real world content. Like the way you say it how it is. Hoping the subs keep going up as you deserve it!
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Thanks for the reply Tony! That Zenith watch is beautiful. Love it with that orange strap. You have very good taste in watches. Congrats on that Rolex 👊
Good topic you covered today Tony👍. Box and papers are very important in my opinion. Won’t buy the watch without them. Tony does the ADs have to give you all tags. Both White with model number and green says superlative with green string?
Yes, they have to give you both of those items, one proves its officially COSC certified and the other verifys serial number and reference number along with (as Tony mentioned) dial and a few other things like a diamond bezel, or diamond hour makers...ceramic bezel ect....
Yes, they have to give you the “full set” I’ve heard some AD ‘s hang on to them and then mail them to you after a certain amount of time to prevent flippers. Although, I think that is frowned upon by Rolex.
Well, I have 5 Rolex’s all have both tags except for my 2016 Panda Daytona which original owner I bought it from said dealer did not include it, this is a first year Panda 2016 and came with the old style card and cardboard booklet card holder, warranty card which is stamped and dated by the dealer and signed by the original owner, I do know many dealers back then did not always included the white or earlier pre-green serial numbered tags unless new owners were hobby enthusiasts and requested them specifically as this was before everyone caught on, thankfully it’s a Daytona with only Black and White dials. It’s a must with the Tiffany dials for sure!
I recently was lucky enough to get offered a Wimbledon Datejust but I didn't get to keep the white tag, so I guess it depends on your AD and their Policy.
They have to give you the white tag. They can’t hold it. Let them know that is part of the packaging and what makes it a complete set. I would seriously look into that. I know some AD’s hold them for a period of time, but then they send them.
@talkingtimepieceswithtony thanks Tony, but I've been told that Watches of Switzerland in Sydney don't give out white tags, and that's their policy. I don't buy watches to sell, and I don't want to come off as a flipper down the line, so I don't feel like pursuing this matter will benefit me (although when my kids inherit my Rolexes, they may wish I should've ha ha). Most people on Rolex forums don't consider the white tags a must to qualify as a full set, although I must admit that except for the paper receipt, there's no other way to authenticate the original dial.
@@g43654 I’ve heard the same thing. Although, it’s part of the full set and they really shouldn’t keep the tag. If it doesn’t bother you and you are not planning on selling, it’s not a big deal. 🤙🤙
All my watches (both AD bought and grey) I have everything: bag, sleeve, box, outer box, receipt, papers, hang tag, etc. In a secure location. Every once in a while, I look at the beautiful box my Omega SMP 300 came in.
Great advice, Tony! Upon your advice, I even kept the bezel guard from my OP purchase. I was lucky enough to score my Milgauss as a full set. My question is, even though I have had it serviced, and it has a new warranty card, should I still hang onto the old warranty card since that was part of the full set? Not sure if that makes sense....
Good information Tony. My first Rolex was a grey market 2008 Rolex Kermit. It came with box and original card. Later on discovered that there was a swing tag and booklet as well. Being a collector of watches and other things I done some research. Looked at the same watch being sold with everything. And picked up the missing pieces. Funny enough got the original book which was a 2008 booklet in new condition on e bay. and the tag. I like to keep and have everything that comes with the watch. If I ever sell it I no that it a complete set. I had to bid on the booklet to win it. Lucky I wanted it the most.
Can you explain what exactly Jomashop does. There prices are so low it's as if they are in business to take a loss. How can there price be so low and posted on eBay that takes an additional 15%? Scratching my head on that company
Absolutely! I have had many experiences in the past with them and even did a video about them on my previous channel several years ago. I’ll do a video respond on next weeks Q&A.
Hello Tony. I got a question for the Magic Ball ... Regarding the fact that more and more Rolex watches starts to pop up in AD's for sale... I've been watching some RUclipsrs like the guy from Opusntime Watches and Paul Thorpe claiming that Rolex ADs are selling ( always did ) watches through the back door directly to the gray market watch dealers ... They are saying that not all ADs are doing this but about 60% of them are very familiar with this practice. Now the gray dealers are not really interested to buy any watch ... That's why we see them ... What is your honest opinion about this ... I am very curious to hear your point of view ... Thanks
Hey Tony, how are you liking your stock Zenith Pilot Cordura strap so far? Is it super comfortable for daily wear? How would you compare it to the sub oyster bracelet and if you could only choose one for daily wear which would it be? (I know it's comparing steel vs fabric but curious as to the overall comfort and fit of both and which you prefer so far). Thanks!!
