Coin Currency Is Money. He Paid the Fine w/Money.
Payment in coins has a limit in nearly all states. It's an old misconception that they would need to accept the money.
Wrong! You need to understand what 'legal tender' is.
@@dampaul13And Pennies can still be refused.
A quick Google will just show you that, why would you spread a false statement as easy as you breath.
@stahl1624 What "false" information am I spreading, wee fella?
Can't wait for your enlightened reply.
@@stahl1624 Were you able to find that false information I was spreading?
She said they take cash. He paid. What's the problem. Nice one.
Idc that it’s 5 years later but are you retarded?
Not legal tender.
@@dampaul13 cash is the definition of legal tender.
@@analgoose1446 Wanna make a bet?
You name how much you want to put up.
My bet is that in this case, in this jurisdiction, under this jurisdiction laws, what he tried to pay with is not legal tender.
Daddy wants a new car!
I guess that's a no bet then.
It's money, accept it or shut up
But they don't have to accept it.
Stay stupid, kid.
Not that simple is Australia. The man was paying with 5 cent pieces. In Australia you are within your rights, and this is backed up by the relevant section of the Australian Currency Act, to refuse payment over $5. For $1 and $2 coins that limit is a bit higher
This is genius! It's a shame that Australia no longer uses 1 or 2 cent coins, or this would have been even more hilarious! Carly's face was priceless!
Why is it genius?
He lost his money and his fine remains unpaid.
@@dampaul13 its genius because, except for this case, the money has to be accepted and people will be setting there, counting for hours. Its a passive aggressive form of playback which cannot get you in any legal trouble and you dont hurt people with it. So its a funny and not destructieve way to show you dont agree with whatever youre charged with. So maybe exept from this case or a few outliers you will generally hear in cases like this that people will have to count and thats just funny nothing more nothing less
@@stronglift1873 "its genius because"
I guess this highlights your level of intelligence if you think this is "genius," losing $60 and the fine remaining unpaid.
For me genius would be not getting the fine in the first place, and if I were to get a fine, pay it with legal tender.
Stay stupid, kid.
"except for this case,"
No, this would happen again if someone else tried it in Australia.
"the money has to be accepted"
No, money doesn't have to be accepted, especially if it isn't considered legal tender.
Even if it is considered legal tender, the condition/state of the legal tender can be taken into consideration.
Then, especially with private businesses, the closing of the sale (Acceptance under Contract Law) is the sole right of the person selling the product.
"Its a passive aggressive form of playback"
Which didn't work.
He lost his $60and the fine remained unpaid.
No payback whatsoever.
"So its a funny"
It is funny because he lost his money and the fine reminded unpaid.
"exept from this case or a few outliers"
Not in Australia, this would be the norm.
@@stronglift1873punish the poor employees instead of the big guy at the top
Not a Fan of harassing people that just do thier Jobs, BUT coins are Cash and You are kinda signing yourself up to Deal with that if you work at the Place where citizens pay thier tickets. To me it’s boderline irresponsible to not have a scale where you weigh your coins or Dollar bills every Retail Store has those for thier registers to weigh After you are Done working the register.
Keep yapping
@@Woofnberg bad day huh? its gonna be alright lil bro
@@-CRZY- Best day coz im not american, keep yapping and projecting little boy
Not legal tender, champ.
They don't have to accept the coins.
Simple.
@@dampaul13 its legal tender lmao are you dumb or just 12? coins count just as much as a paper bills look on any coin it literally says legal tender
the government made the law and they made the coins so its their problem.
Aside from the obvious differences between federal, state, and local governance, all that matters is that what he was playing with is not legal tender.
The government have also dictated what constitutes legal tender.
So, it's the muppet's problem in the video.
The more you know!
Got no problem issuing the fine then when we pay it in an inconvenient way they got a problem
No problem, simply refuse payment as it wasn't legal tender.
Pretty simple, really.
In the USA if they are imposing a fine they have to accept coins.
Private Business however do not have to accept coins
At the local bank here we have a coin counting machine. What you deposit in it goes into your account. There is no staff at the desk. (There is none now). You just pour whatever you have into it. Then you withdraw what you need at the ATM next to it. If you need to pay fines or whatnot and need to file a complaint you need to contact the authorities in question. It sucks, but it's the times we live in. Or rather, I live in. Bureaucracy 101.
There are better ways to channel frustrations than by taking it out on an innocent cashier.
Wanna work for rats get treated like a rat
While this is true, the cashier is representing the company and knows what they’re getting themselves into.
At the end there you said you pay cash for videos no thanks I have enough change !!!!!! LMFAO
Absolute legend
You really taught that employee... who just works there behind the counter... and has absolutely nothing to do with setting the rules and ordnances... and is just trying to make a living... who's boss. That ought give the people several pay grades above her who set these laws and rules something to think about the next time you violate a parking ordnance. She'll think twice before... just ... going to work, I guess..
And honey you’re gunna stand there and wait like everyone else does for me to count the cash you’re handed me. You be petty, I can be petty.
They have to accept it they have no choice it's the law
Incorrect, under Section 16(1)(a) of the Currency Act 1965; A tender of payment of money is a legal tender if it is made in Five cents, Ten cents, Twenty cents or Fifty cents or coins of 2 or more of those denominations-for payment of an amount not exceeding $5.
Depends on country
Well nice one good job
This guy is really here simply to ruin people's day...
Ruins my day when the council collect money from me.
They work for a corrupt organisation, I'm happy to see that the job is made more difficult by this man
@@DXmYbI was just about to say this lmao
They work for a corporation that stole his money
@@DXmYbthen don’t do something to get a fine lol, they’re not taking your money you just didn’t follow the law
Now hes following the law and paying whats the problem?
He disrespects my name Chris
Pay back time 😂
This pettiness I approve of
OK SORRY I JUST READ BELOW THAT THIS IS IN THE LAND BELOW! DOWN UNDER! AUSTRALIA!!!!
Since he paid with only one type of coin, they could just weigh all the coins and divide by the weight of one coin.
Next time be sure to use a mix of coins to make it even harder to process.
It wouldn't matter about the mix of coins, they'd still simply refuse payment as the coins aren't legal tender.
No your clip
Lazy employees just don't want to count the cash and finding excuses.
Not lazy, no excuse, she didn't have to accept the payment, so she didn't.
Be better and try and educate yourself.
Why not just leave it in the bag
because he is gangsta
Bahahahaha! YYEESSSSSSSSSS! Fine paid, so F- you if you don't like the payment method!!!! Way to go mate!
At least sort it out and give it to them like that. The coins isnt a problem its the way you give it the problem
Hell yea bro 🦾🦾
Sometimes you have to do your job
She did, refused payment as it wasn't legal tender.
whats the matter? its cash, coins, pennies, cents. its legal money, or course you can process that
Wanna make a bet?
When I win, can you pay in legal tender?
@@dampaul13 why couldn't I?
@@fabrizio737 Well, if we made a bet, you'd be wrong, I'd win the bet, and I just want to make sure you understand what legal tender means.
Incorrect it is not legal tender, under Section 16(1)(a) of the Currency Act 1965; A tender of payment of money is a legal tender if it is made in Five cents, Ten cents, Twenty cents or Fifty cents or coins of 2 or more of those denominations-for payment of an amount not exceeding $5.
Legend 😂😂👍 look at her face lmao
I know in the US private business can reject coin payment but when paying a fine the government can’t they have to accept all legal forms of tender.
The question is did it work?
No lol you have to have it rolled up or transferred to cash
No, not considered legal tender.
You shouldnt get a receipt till I count it meaning this isnt a sale yet at all and no you are paying anything and realize that you don't get to force someone to count something to get out of something thats all this is and you know it
lol
You really stuck it to those employees who had nothing to do with it. What an ass.
They lucky it wasn't pennys
He broke the law and causing an inconvenience for the innocent teller lady? Wow such a hero!
Cite the law
@@afrolore7462 Why should OP have to cite the law?
The muppet in the video has accepted the law and penalty.
What's your point?
Do you have one?
@@dampaul13 what the hell are you talking about. Do you not understand context. You're looking for attention. Pull your head out of your ass and you might find it
That money would be sitting in a bag with his name on it, waiting for him to come pick it up. With an unpaid bill in your name...
So hes upset he got a ticket. Do better next time smart guy . Then this wont happen. Hes to blame. He did it to himself.
