Jokes aside this was possibly one of the hardest challenges near the start of it, not being able to get upgrades or get good cars but it was smooth sailing once you got access to better stuff. It's nice seeing challenges like this because it lets you think outside the box sometimes and lets you experience things differently as well. Great video as always Dove, props to you and Javi for pushing another amazing video out!

Somehow this was a complete polar opposite experience to the A-spec no-money challenge, there was a lot of just roadblocks and GT5's forced double laps adding to the tedium, glad the narrative came together for this!
(the last stream with dream car championship has singlehandedly made me play BTD6 again send help)
There was a missed opportunity of making a joke on the "Most skilled GT 5 AI driver" when they crashed out

yeah there are so many stupidly difficult to obtain cars that are required to be Gran Turismo 5 in full
and of course the patchwork solution fell apart when it hadn't backing any longer

i can confirm this was chaotic, and for context: he borrowed those tires so he can race with them.
Watching this makes me think how much I would want for a GT4 expansion with the GT5 car list (simplified to fit the game and the graphics of course)
One mod i think could be really fun to see, is one that grants you reward cars in order, based on power!
So for every reward car you get, you start with getting the car with the least power in the game, then second least, 3rd, 4th and so on... So the challenge now becomes trying to beat the game with reward cars, but do it with the least powerful car you possibly can. If you run out of events, the mod should allow you to reset the progress of all events, but keep what you have to avoid softlocks, kinda like doing NG+...
Shoutout to whoever mentioned Gene's tax arrest, which is so much funnier because this was at the time he joined up with Tony Stewart and cooked up one of the best NASCAR teams of the 2010s

If you run this on an emulator and can hit over 60 FPS it will be faster.
I unlock the framerate and change to the stats screen with the small picture to reach 300FPS and fast forward :)
Ironically, Gene Haas in the #48 means he wouldn't have been racing with the team he actually owns (until the end of this year, btw). Then again, NASCAR _has_ had some examples of owner-drivers not racing with their own teams, like Dale Earnhardt and Denny Hamlin.
