I feel like a different format could be nice. The total of all cars collected in a round wins. And then a bonus point after the final round for the largest total of all cars across all rounds. In the case of a tie, the next unlocked car's value decides the race

this was very fun to watch. the fact that this game is so big, so fun and have SO MUCH replay potential after 18 years, even tho it's like early-ish 3D era is insane.
I love GT4, still one of my fav games of all time (any genre). I'll die on that hill hahah

You should do this again, but make it so that everyone starts with the same car, and you have to use your worst car obtained in the last round for the next one. A no upgrades modifier could also add some extra spice since it would change the strategy
I can't wait for javi_nitro to start his own racing channel just to 1v1 DoVe_7 in a rng based video game.
I would love to see this challenge be done with @yellowbird, he's up and coming and is an absolute riot.

Love your shit DoVe. I wanted to know what version of GT4 are you using for randomizer and what pnach codes did you use to get all the licenses. I'm doing my own randomizer run and I don't wanna do the licenses again :(
The GT4 Online public beta version is what im using and for licenses I just used a save editor tool

@@DoVe_7 what save editor did you use? i tried Nenkai's but i can't give gold to licences, it's grayed out and it just says (unimplemented)

Honestly, after playing GT4 a long time, i decided to try GT2 (emulating it on my phone) and it was amazing. Altough i still find the handling weird, i' loving the game. Especially the how varied the cars (and tracks) are. Some of them i had never tried. Also, 10 tests per license instead of 16 is amazing ngl.
That being said, i feel bad for people who can't play these games (pretty sure that iPhones don't run emulators). Actually, it's sad that old games aren't being preserved as much as other media.
Unrelated but I have not heard Moby's Porcelain in years and 4:32 gave me COMPLETE whiplash. What a banger. Now I need to go listen to it ten times in a row. Anyway, interesting question: You never said that B-Spec wasn't allowed, and B-Spec has the option of speeding up the race times 3. Was "no fast-forwarding" only meaning emulator fast-forward, or did I just think of a new risk/reward strat where you play races on B-Spec with the shitty starter B-Spec driver and hope for the best?
