All that Ole needed was a defensive midfielder because his attack was very quick, lethal and dangerous that could destroy any team. They looked so comfortable and did it for fun when at their best.
Perhaps instead of bringing Ronaldo, they should have got a proper DM. The team was on the right track. Ronaldo did well, but they team needed a defensive midfielder more than anything else
Ole got the best out of Pogba, Mason, Bruno and Rashford with this counter attacking formation. If only Woodward invested more in the midfield and defense, the team would have top of class in Europe.

I loved Ole ball. He came in when the team was a mess under Mourinho playing depressingly negative football. Morale was low. Rashford was considering leaving. Ole recognised that the ace up our sleeve was that we had an abundance of talented young and fast players (Greenwood, Rashford, Martial, etc.), and our best bet would be to find a way to release them. Originally Pogba played the quarter back role, and we did really well for about eight games until he started pushing for a move elsewhere and essentially downed tools. At that point the team's performance dipped and everyone just said the team benefitted from "the new manager bounce". But it was a clear strategy. Then we bought Bruno Fernandes and he was the perfect man for the job. Solskjaer had two of the most exciting young coaches in McKenna and Carrick happily working under him and we played exciting counter attacking football. The media were relentlessly on his back despite coming second and third and being a penalty away from winning the Uefa cup against a team who parked the bus (so at this point we were clearly dominating matches). Most fans bought into the nonsense the media were spewing and couldn't see how well we were actually progressing. Once Ronaldo came in, everything fell apart. We no longer pressed up front the same way or passed the ball around the same way as we see in this video. Once Ronaldo came in, everything fell apart. Major attacking start from Greenwood
some is not even counter attack... it's just shape and passion with well executed... they're full of passion back then.
RASHFORD is still the best attacker we have left and some fools are saying he's not good again they dont know its a new Manager style now
damnn i misss this so much, so fluiddd flowww
We miss Him
Back in the days flowing game unlike current system
Bring back ole to old trafford to be coach manager and coach assiten ruudtje!!
Greenwood is lethal infront of goal
Bring ole back 😂
The greenwood days❤
If he didn't insist on playing Maguire and invested on defense and a proper number 6, Ole would still be a Manchester united coach
Correct
MaGuire was quality under Ole and Ole got a great tune out of Pogba also! Infact if we would have had a fit Maguire for the Europa final we would have beaten Villareal!
rashford had so much burst
Then they were playing like a team, but they now play individual football.
If Ole would get Martinez and de Ligt he would make the team but he was given enough funds.
I miss Greenwood at our Striker position. He is very lethal
Ole deserve another chance. Ronaldo arrival ruin the whole plan
agreed. he built a team with selfless individuals who ran and were skilful. Caveni, James and Greenwood were dynamic. Ronaldo came in a slow everything up. Imagine the previous 3 working with Martial, Rashford and a Sancho who might have behaved better. that is some front 6! I remember in the first match vs Swansea in the season that Ronaldo rejoined, McFred provided protection and let Probga, Fernandez, Caveni and Rashford ran riot. Had we continued without CR7, I dare say we are good enough for league runners up and 1 cup
Nonsense comment
I always say this!!!
IT’s wasn’t Ronaldo plan it was actually man utd executives check his interview…. Now u see Ronaldo was right all along, he had a good first season but ten hag made him look bad in front of everyone, look at innocent sancho
Ronaldo bailed Ole out
He scored 18 goals with little service.
If Ole has got the current united squad he wud have trampled almost every top european club of today by his good counter attack tactic❤ unfortunately his time at Old Trafford is not going well with Glazer he didn't have a good DM which is one of the very reason he lose his job
Sebgai fans MU, pasti merindukan gol2 seperti ini lagi
