Seeing people driving with a tornado in the picture freaks me out.
Couldn't be me stopping at a red light. It's very strange that the cars are just sitting there. We get these 🌪️ all the time!

I would have moved out. No way could I live in constant paranoia.
I'm here in Louisville as well. Near Audubon Hospital. Hope and pray we end up missing it. Our insurance wouldn't let us renew our house insurance until we finish tearing down an old garage that use to be connected to our house. There's literally only a 5ft tiny brick wall left, its no danger at all. My family has been going through alot of health problems. My mom almost passed away, im her caregiver so haven't been able to work as much as I use to also being a single mother. After 30 yrs my parents proudly just paid off their house a couple years ago and it would be absolutely devastating and utterly heartbreaking to loose it bc we couldn't get insurance back on it. I hope you everyone else has a safe place or shelter they can take cover in if need be. Remember, don't wait until last minute. Tornados during the night time are way more dangerous bc people are sleeping. Hopefully with all the cell phone alerts, alot more people are alerted and aware now days. 🙏

Took me a second to realize why the clouds had flourescent lights
The scary part was that I was at school when this happened, everyone that was around me were crying and we could hear multiple sirens going off at the same time. It was probably the scariest moment of my life.
The storm was so bad when it came by us in North Central Arkansas a ton of water came rushing under the front door. So much water came down the ditch it couldn't go through the culvert and then the hail started in. God this is terrible, I pray there's not casualties but with a tornado that large, there no doubt is! 😢

I lived where tornadoes are & I’ve lived on the coast of Florida & SC for Hurricanes that get downgraded many times to tropical storms. Tornadoes are worse.
I totally agree. I’m terrified at the possibility of a tornado coming through where I live now. I’ve been through several really bad hurricanes but at least you have time to plan for them ahead of when they are being tracked and plan for them I also lived in coastal areas my entire life and was never as panicked as I am now with the thought of tornado possibility at almost anytime with very little advance time to prepare. 😢

Tornado is heading towards everyone, yet they were driving quite slow and making the effort to even stop at the stop light. So casual about it. 😆
I NEVER follow traffic laws when a tornado is on the ground. I bet they didn't see it behind them.
@@foreverlove8919 When human instinct and fear kicks in every human law goes out the window for the sake of self-preservation. lol The law of Nature kicks in and says "They either survive today or they don't that's all on them. I'm not sticking around."

You don't. Hiding isn't what you're doing when that rolls in. It looks that way but that's not what's happening. You shield yourself from it as best as possible and hope it either ropes out before it hits you or veers off in a different direction. You try to survive them. Hiding and taking shelter are two different things.
You find a place with sturdy walls or a basement with a good foundation. Find the innermost place in the home or building away from windows, glass, mirrors, tools, heavy lifting materials and equipment, and the like, and wait.
Hiding implies something is searching for you and if it sees you it may take interest. Natural disasters don't look for you. They just are.
Humanity has done the best it can so far with preparations for natural disasters. If it wasn't for human ingenuity...surviving one of these would be left to chance & luck.

Fun fact: I live in lonoke and saw this go by in a field and it was big
Saw it go through the neighborhood directly in front of mine before realizing it was a tornado. never been that close. don't want to be again. neighbors house was badly damaged. my side was minor damage. was a bad tornado
That tornado caused a lot of damage. Unfortunately, some of the businesses and homes that had damages kept having problems with criminals stealing from the places and even stole their construction materials that they wanted to rebuild with.

We have several tornado shelters. Also most homes have basements. Couldn't be me waiting at a red light.
