- A fantastic variation of Lefty's deceiver tied on a bendback hook in an effort to become weed and snag resistant.
It is a pattern that is surprisingly effective, and can be tied in whatever size you like to target your favourite species, whether impoundment barramundi hiding amongst the weed towers, their snag dwelling estuarine counterparts and mangrove jack, or bass.
The materials used in this tie are:
1/0 Mustad C70SD bent to shape
Rooster saddle feathers (long), white
Polar flash, pearl
Bucktail, white
Neck feathers, grizzly
Bucktail, chartreusse
Danville flatwaxed nylon, white
7/32in stick on eyes
Raidzap Super Thin UV resin
Great tie, enjoyed watching it. I never thought of tying a Deceiver on a bendback hook, how are your hook ups?
Sorry mate... so slow at this. The hook ups aren't that bad to be honest. But you need to get the bends right
