Space Engineers - Hatrius Hybrid Battleship
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 26 апр 2020
- The main weaponry includes 26 rocket launchers (6 front, 20 broadside : 10 starboard, 10 portside), 18 missile turrets massed on the heavily armored top and 1 long range gravity cannon in the bow.
The battleship is able to execute long range operations, due to its good freight and hydrogen capacity, its 11 jump drives and its small hangar.
Also able to fly in almost all environments from space to alien planet, but with a preference for low gravity ones due to its weight.

“How much hydrogen do you want this vessel to burn?”
“Yes.”
lol
I really didn't see a whole lot of hydrogen tanks in there for sustained atmospheric flight.
@@Zartren You cant have sustained atmospheric flight with hydrogen. All you have is a time that the hydrogen will run out. With a 100Million kg ship its about 10+ mins. 20 million kg ship is small.
@@GodKitty677 Right. So if the atmospheric thrusters are not enough to keep the ship flying and there is not enough hydrogen to do much more than leave the atmosphere or help the ship land, this ship is not meant to fight in atmosphere.
@@Zartren The issue is that there is a high were atmospheric engines cut off and the ion thrusters are not enough. The speed drops so you can't hover. With hydrogen engines a ship can hover at this hight. Then there is the realistic orbits mod, where keeping in orbit over a spot requires a lot of thrust.
-"Oh look, a gas station"
-"hem.. sir, all i see here is a beautiful ice lake but nothing else.."
-"yes.. an ice lake.."
The ship architect for this seems to have taken some inspiration from real world naval ships. Little casemates and gun nests, a magazine, everything feels cramped... pretty cool
Looks like the UNSC converted a covenant destroyer to their own use ngl.
Reminds me I think of First Strike where they literally weld a UNSC Frigate onto a Covenant Cruiser

Love this battleship, does what it is meant to do beautifully, was really shocked by how survivable it is. It was able to take so much punishment, and still hit back. The ability to operate in gravity makes it much more versatile than other battleships it's size. An awesome centerpiece to any faction's fleet. Thanks for showing us Aaron!
Recently I’ve heavily retrofitted this battleship with the new warfare update, ripped out a lot of the turrets for heavy artillery, ripped the grav cannon out and stuck in rail guns. Added a gravity drive. Updated the armor to deal with new weapons. I’m very glad for the designers of this ship
I bet that thing eats through hydrogen, but she is a real beauty
Yeh, those ships are usually purely for looks. It would not work in proper game.
TheRezro only with a good hydrogen balance mod
Me: a try hard “looks you say?”
Lol can probably get it 10m off the ground until you’d have to refuel

Im new to this game and cant even figure out how to make a working drill miner so thinking about building something like this gives me anxiety haha but its so amazing
Piece of advice for you?
1 drill + 1 med cargo container takes AT LEAST 1 large atmospheric thruster when full of ore.
@@eloryosnak4100 Small drill or large drill?
@@TheLifeoflink Small drill, you can only place medium cargo on small ships.
Console or pc?

It looks to be a "broadside craft" that fires turrets from top, static side torpedos, and a large frontal MAC cannon. Very fancy, yet sturdy. A great stare ship over all. I love it!
Man, seeing a ship tour really brings on nostalgia of videos from a couple years ago. Lovely ship, lovely vid. Makes me want to get into that style again.
the design architecture reminds me of the pillar of autumn with it's heavy armor, the design of the engines, the angled windows overlooking subsystems, even the holographic computer on the bridge. I could see this fitting in the UNSC fleet as a picket cruiser
Once you re-rig the weapons on this bad boy with some long-range modded weapons you have a hellishly durable and outright lethal battleship. I have had my personal one of these have half its engines and hull blown off and it still be operable in a grav well.
That hatrius hybrid battleship vs. A carrier/destroyer/battleship type starship = Mass Destruction 😂👍
Of it?
I like how this ship shows a similar compartment concept to a real-life warship such as that the ammunition is stored-elsewhere instead of being stored in a central compartment
Imagine designing that yourself.
My brain; We got this
My hands: Now i dont want to do it anymore
I would put that in my resume
Why I need imagining it?
Hard effort
I’ve designed some complicated vessels, though mine are complicated because they use extensive scripts and combined grids rather than due to size.
It does take a while. My process is usually to spend a while playing around with the concepts to see what works and what doesn’t, then to lay down the rough frame and begin detailing from there. You have to always keep in mind that you don’t build anything which violates your design parameters.
Once you have something resembling a viable version of your vision, it’s time to do a few perfection passes and overhauls.
Then, you start from scratch because you have much more experience and can build something way better. :)
I've had space engineers now for years and I have always wondered what my perfectly designed ship would look like. This video saved me WEEKS of WORK. Thank you to the creator and you for showcasing it. Love Aaron at laststandgamers. Best resource for Space Engineers.
I'd love to see a mod review of the Weapons Core mod. It seems like it has a ton of potential but the videos I've seen out there seem pretty lackluster in terms of information.
Vanhala just read the stuff from the workshop site...
And it updates daily.
Random thought I can’t wait for the day where VR has a game like this. I wanna be in a crashing space ship trying to use an escape pod just to watch the ship be torn apart as I narrowly escape.
The ship design and gravity launched missile reminds me of HALO with the defined edges, the shape, and the “MAC Cannon” at the front
Probably my most favorite ship you've ever showcased. Much wow!
This an amazingly designed ship! It incorporates every idea I was thinking of using for making my first battleship, and more! I especially really like the battle bridge idea.
First time seeing this game, Mind completely blown, on the level of thought put into this. Not bs, just efficiency. Must have
It's a really nice ship, and I think you should really do testings in how much the hydrogen can last you when it is fully loaded. And probably also the power with just ions. That just such a main concern when it comes to hydrogen.
I watched your videos before I started playing space engineers and I was like oh yeah that pretty cool. Now that I'm playing space engineers I now know that Holly crap this stuff is HUGE
Those topside turrets will fire forward just fine, all you need to do is tilt the nose of the ship downward, the way it was intended to be in a full frontal attack.
This is why there is more armor on top than below.
The top is aimed at both offense and defense in this shape.
In essence, the body of the ship is made much like a full length medieval kite/sail shield, but with weapons bristling out of it.
It can attack from forward, topside, port and starboard very heavily, and since it is packing missiles, particularly missiles on turrets, which to some extent also cover the less armored parts beneath it.
I did not see anything about it having a shield though.
Seems a vessel that big should have plenty of shielding, and likely some rail guns as well.
the Hatrius is a really beautiful ship, but i noticed something funny when i used it as a target for my Weapon System Tests:
i have a mod that makes full hydrogen tanks and running Nuclear Reactors explode when they get destroyed.
during the weapon test, my very first shot landed in the back half of the Hatrius and it literally blew apart, the explosions removed more than 50% of the blocks used in the ship haha.
I guess it was a reactor with a chain reaction blowing other reactors and hydrogen engines up
oh no, apparently it was Hydrogen i hit, according to the video haha. very nice
damn bruv lsg is still pumping out vids i remember i used to watch ur space engineers videos a few years ago
Us in the shattered plains server fear this thing. Modifications were made and now it can take the full combined forces of the server's two most powerful factions. 20 players and we were barely able to beat it lol.
Makes sense if you are familiar with the server rules, it isn't like most server's where poles with guns are ideal. You have a limited number of guns, limited amount of power, etc.
I don't know how these people make these large ships with such detailed interiors, and yet they're still light enough to go the planets surface without adding like 100 giant hydrogen thrusters
Yea these are cool but no one actually builds these in survival.
Could you even, in any sort of reasonable time? I haven't played the game much but it looks like it would take a week to build nevermind the time required to gather the resources.
@@Roguecjb It's not impossible but it will be a pain in the ass to build. Welder blocks suck in general in the game and welding the interior of this complicated ship would be hell. Projectors don't tell you everything that has been unfinished welding wise.
NPC 74853482 The build and repair system is a very nice mod cause it uses “nano bots” to weld ships and it welds everything within a 150 M radius inside and out
you can build them "easily in space". Put projector and build large welding ship and reverse as you weld, of course building both of these require time, but after completing both of these, you can build any ship you want.
I have seen many much larger ships in survival. It's surprisingly common. The projectors do work and what I do is even slower because I don't use a welder wall. I just use a small ship with a welder and dock periodically to load up on components. To weld up a projection of this ship can be completed in a few hours with my slow technique. The advantage to going slower is you end up completing every block, and no unfinished blocks get buried in the process. You can do that with a welder wall to, but you have to watch carefully. Sometimes I still have to grind away blocks and weld spots by hand if I cover a half built jump drive that means a pain in the butt, but I have seen several ships of 50k blocks in survival and many ships at 25k. Personally I build most of my ships under 10k and a few around 15k because it is easier on sim speed
Holy crap! That looks amazing!
Some inspiration for my new *Kaiju* class battlecruiser! Thanks for the video this ship is awesome!
I love the massive design of this one.
This one looks really awesome and also seems to be working pretty good!
andprobably eats through hydrogen... Speed up? guess what: our hydrogen-containers are empty now 😂😂
I still believe gravity bomb in the front is impractical without turning it into a armored missile. Broadside gravity bomb would be ideal but perhaps at a 45 degree angling to the front, while placing the majority of the armor of the ship to the front the ship will move forward charging the enemy, but once it starts firing it reverses engines drawing in the enemy while releasing more and more bombs. Depending on how many bomb launchers, might need to move the ship in a spiral motion.
Placing it in the back like a mine layer might work as well, but it would be very risky near the thrusters and would act more as a deterrent than a offensive weapon.
Nothing better than LSG and LSD.

Everyone, "General Kenobi."
A cross between a Star Destroyer and a UNSC ship.
You mean that it suck?
@@TheRezro slow down the unsc more than make up for the star destroyers faults
Definitely help improve the UNSC survival rate that's for sure.
@@liquidgarfield8523 Give a star destroyer an internal bridge, long range missiles, and better PDCs and it will curb stomp any other ship in its class.
I wonder if ther's a script or any way to have reactions setup for targets at extreme (in SE terms) ranges like say 50 km out activate some alerts and maybe intercept misiles or fighters maybe both. the4 ammount of automation that can be engineered into a cool base or battle-station is impressive.
my head started spinning when I started thinking what resources this thing would need to be built
That ship looks really cool
Actually just got this game yesterday and I’m really exited to try it out looks really fun
We NEED to see this thing in action
Watched this When i started with Space engineers. Watched again now after 600 playing hours and the ship is still frigging awesome
I’m new to space engineers. I got it on council. I’m currently building an aircraft carrier ship. But this ship just blows my mind
A pretty sizeable group of little orb drones and regular drones to store inside the hanger for support in battles or for taking on fighters would make this ship twice as deadly
Really good!
Damn thats amazing design at least by the looks.
Something I’ve noticed with a lot of these war ships is that there’s very little in the way of weapon on the underbelly and a bunch on top meeting that diving below the other ship is extremely effective
Eh, the top of the ship is actually the front then.
Either way a majority of ships seem to be criminally under-defended at at least 1 major angel
@@darthrevan4933 that is how many ships naturally form when in gravity you need so much thrust to just keep them in the air. A well piloted small ship could certainly so some damage if it catches one of these ships' belly.
That being said, many large scale ship battles in space engineers have other ships to protect another's belly, or ground-based defenses.
Banana Zach I realize that but there should still be a few guns on the bottom nothing comparable to the main canons but some medium secondary guns as deterrent because a blind spot that big on that critical of an area is just asking for trouble from more manoeuvrable ships
Beautiful ship! But I disagree with your comment on every ship should be atmospheric capable. Jack of all trades master of none. A ship that tries to do too many things are usually a compromised design. But this ship looks spectacular and seems to be very well thought out.
I agree. Sometimes, spaceships should just be spaceships, and heli-carriers should be heli-carriers. If playing in a survival sever with this thing, all the enemy would have to do is wait 1 minute for all this ship's hydrogen to run out, then watch it fall to the planet surface.
Actually, there is one way to make it atmospheric-capable. The "top" of the ship is actually the front. Like Slave One or a Homeworld ship. On a planet, its fighting strategy would be iffy, trying to basically just fly under the enemy vessel. In space, it is a bunch of weapons spread out along a wide area, most of which are pointing at you.
At least he didn't slap a coat of paint on it, and said he was "Inspired" by the Hatrius
The second bridge is usually referred to the BATTLE BRIDGE!
At least that’s what I call if after watching startrek :)
Please, please, please!!!!! Use this in a series!!!!!!
That ship is absolutely awesome. That being said, I cant even imagine how much fuel it would burn xD let alone take to produce in a survival world lol.
I was in a dedicated team in UK2 server called the United factions group or UFG... the team leader had created a ship printer that was massive. Everyone had miners and kept the resources filled in the millions.
Its amazing you just post your blueprint on the workshop and the leader will print it in under an hour.
A huge wonderful rotating arm of welders with a projector and timers.
I left the group because I was too busy with life and they wanted to compete in the Starcore tournaments.
I had already played 2,500 hours and was just too overwhelmed and lazy to design any more ships, especially hard fighting ships that are nimble and can take hits. Nope. Too much for me.
you should test these ships in combat as well!! either against AI or other players
it would give the showcase some extra fun i think
RUclips heard me, I have just had the pleasure of beating this brawl on brawl, broadside to broadside, I would love to see the ship updated with warfare 1 + 2 in mind, love this ship
I think the UNSC would be proud of your Frigate!
Really beautiful ship!!
Just two questions: What planet is that? Which mod is the ice surface?
Pieter Talens probably the water mod he uses for the plane server?
That planet is Helghan, the ice surface is a custom texture.
Matheus Botelho RUclips says that your answer was written 92 Years ago lol
@@aabry7108 I am a time traveler XD
i just bought space engineers and i already have 200 + hours in it. But i still have no idea how in gods name to make a ship look that good. let alone interiors. . . . such respect for those expert builders.
EndoFlame I think it sort of boils down to making the hull big enough for a proper interior, and then just cramming as much in as possible. Most of the rooms in that ship were only one block tall, and overlapped with equipment (like hangar doors) from other areas. Catwalks help cover up exposed blocks when you don't want them to be visible.
I have over 1000 hours, but a lot of it went to waste.
Are the Broadside rocket launchers conveyed. Because if there not, let's say they run out you're screwed, and what if you get boarded you will focus more on defending the ship than reloading the rocket launchers and you won't be able to get to them if the enemy borders is in the way
Alors , ont ce met bien Hyper ? mdr good job
At the XTS outpost, the ships there are from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The ships present are the Arquitens, The Acclamator, and maybe a Venator?
At 5:49, The ships present (the ones I can name) are the Munificent and Providence, also from the Clone Wars.
Hmm
It gonna be a pain to reload all those small PD turret then "Real turret"
Hydro engines are really cool now after the Hydrogen rebalance.
Ice now actually has value into the direction of Uranium i think.
Except for the large ion-thrusters of course. They still need reactors.
How the hell is this thing atmosphere capable? I’ve built ships half this size with double the upwards thrust that plummet instantly
Use hydrogen thrusters
It also has some atmospheric to help out the hydrogen thrusters
@@cybersteel8 fr you need one large atmo for every 3 large hydrogen just to offset the insane consumption
Those hydrogen thrusters are struggling. Really I don't think you could put any extra weight on this ship. They're nearly working at 100%
Might I just say I've seen this ship design in many Android games. Never in this detail but very similar
how much hydrogen and energy does it take to fly tho?
willing to bet this thing will fly for about a minute or two before the hydrogen runs out
It depends on the inventory size setting in world options, and also how many hydrogen tanks and oxygen generators it has on board. Last but not least it very much so depends on the grid mass, cargo mass, and how much gravity the planet has. Also for this grid it depends on the atmospheric density as it does contain some atmospheric thrusters to save fuel. If it is mostly light armor I am willing to bet it can fly for long enough to reenter, land, and take off back to space. If not they shouldn't have bothered trying to make it planetary capable. The best way to find out is subscribe to the bp and test it out in a survival world with the inventory settings of your choice. If it fails to reach space, increase the inventory size setting until it allows you to go to space on a single load of hydrogen. Also try these tests while carrying a million kg of ice, and a few million kg of ammo and some uranium. A lot of builders don't load test thier builds. I like when they specify the cargo load capacity in 1g to escape gravity. Helps to remove excess cargo storage to help prevent overweight loads.
@@CrazyDutchguys mode like half a hour while staying still on planet w gravity in space couple hours 80% of its back side are hydrogen tanks
Looks like the back end of a covenant ship merged with the front end of the UNSC Infinity
looking forward to seeing BSG
@LastStandGamers First glance, it looks like the ship style used in the game "Dreadnought"
I have a question what are you going to re-enter the Lost Colony series and will you take control of the green drone Army.
If it was a battleship, it would have gotten giant cannons. That seems to be like a cruiser or something
Should be updated with the new Catwalk, railings, and stairs blocks. Otherwise very impressive.
Could use more fire power and armor and bigger hanger but not bad
It look good...
If you plan to use this ship in multiplayer like I do I recommend stripping all of the conveyer junctions out and redoing the pipes because if you don't it causes extreme lag on the server.
Protected turrets = blind spots
It's a question of tactics I guess. have a barrel shape rotating, displaying undamaged broadsides while repairing the flank in shadow.
Or face melting broadside with no blindspots, all turrets on deck
I love the fact the took the rust freighter and turned it into a battle ship. You can tell from the ribs at the back ending in gatling gun and the veiwing bridge. Its the same shape and design of the freighters bridge. Amazing what people can do with vanilla creations. Its amazing
I love when asthetics become functional armor
notice... the ship this big and with that much stuff on it, the space engineers engine can actually run it on a planet. the optimization in this game is slow but comparing it to the past you can actually see how much more the game can handle with each update
I do wish they'd add new weapons systems, we've been stuck with 2 turrets and rocket launchers pretty much since the early stages of the game.
Perhaps have some cannon block that use a system similar to the modules for refineries and assemblers, but instead they would improve bore size, range, reload speed. This would add some great weapon variety without making it too complicated. With variations of both fixed cannons and turrets.
Now if these modules would actually change the model of the cannon that would make my inner nerd jump with happiness, but it might be a little much to ask
FLAK CANNONS
This game should be used to design our ships in real life, when I saw The Martian Movie I hated the ship. So many unprotected hulls and important systems.
It remains to check in the combat situation:)

2. Battlestar Galactica - Glactica-class Battlestar (general overall profile)
3. Star Wars - Nebula-class Star Destroyer (thruster placement)
4. Halo Combat Evolved - Pillar of Autumn
5. Halo 5: Guardians - UNSC Infinity
"every ships should go on planets'" NO, every ship should be capable to carry some planetary landers, because its RLY FCKNG FUN F*CK YEAH! :D

More bulges in ships noted.
It may put me at some kind of disadvantage but I usually have dedicated atmospheric and spaceborne craft with shuttles to go between
