This landing gear may be the most elaborate thing I've seen in this game yet, and somehow it seems to work perfectly! It'd be useless until you have a HUGE ship, like this ship they take up more space than the cargo and hangar, but if you have an even bigger ship they'd be amazing
I built a ship that uses 6 of them, and they are capable of supporting a ship that weighs over 40 kilotons so i highly recommend them, theyre really good! It's a heavy freighter approximately 300 meters in length
I really wish there was an update that made transport ships and trade ships essential to move around resources. It would make large multiplayer servers way more interesting.

Also I love having to build unneeded cargo ships just to move cargo around as a result cranking up the game's bitching about PCU use even in single player. Even using the largest capacity settings I HATE having to move more than the player character can carry because docking your ship at a conveyor connector is fucking obnoxious.
Amazing ship. Though, if I were to build it in survival, I would move the interior thrusters to the outside (freeing up space) and then rip out the whole elaborate landing gear system (it won't project anyway so it would save me a lot of headaches trying to figure it out myself.)
That's a fair point. Although the landing gear is spectacular, I believe the ship would be almost as cool without it, and if replacing it with something you could reliably build without exploding makes the ship actually useful in survival, go for it.
yeah for survival id rather take them out and have the space to have a nice interior, space for an extra vehicle or even space for a coupple deployable ai fighter drones, could easily fit a self repairing rail gun ball turret too
I could almost see a militarized version of this being used as a troop transport. A bit heavier armor and you could probably use this to send troops safely to the front lines
Its a phenomal as a creative ship but unfortunately its too complicated to be a solid survival ship. Finding and repairing any damage can be a real chore, and ease of access to parts for quick repair is very important. Mishaps happen, and a ship like this can be extremely difficult to repair.

I am always wanting to know the full grid mass and PCU cost of the main grid. This looks like a 8 million kg 25,000 PCU ship. The landing gear system is cool but very complex and expensive at 1500 PCU per landing gear assembly
Go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves, you'll se a folder or two with a bunch of numbers, one will have all your worlds stored with the name you put when they were created. Enter the world file, go to the folder Backup, and there you'll have your last 5 saves if you didn't edit the amount in the world config. Open the uncorrupted save file (the newest one is the corrupted so don't use that), inside each folder, there will be a bunch of files and the capture of the save. Copy all files and paste them on the world folder, replace the corrupted files and it should be good to go. You can do all this with the game open on the menu.
Neat ship, it is too bad you can't build it in survival. It would build the main ship, but because the ramp and landing gear are separate grids, you can't build it in a survival gane.

Put a heavily armed rover in the back and a support fighter fleet and it becomes a very capable battle/gunship
