Great Video guys! The park is usually packed at night when the sun goes down. The mini-golf courses get super busy. The best time to go is at night with all the colored lights! Thanks!
The ride opened up a year after the end of the Desert Storm war. That, combined with the Patriot title with the junior coaster, were definitely evocative of the war and the nation's mood about the military after the war. I've actually always been surprised they haven't renamed them.
Great little place! The go carts ARE included with a ride wristband, and yes, they are slow. On my 2019 visit, the ropes course and ziplines were included as well. C&C is open at night time too, so it's possible to visit a water park and this place in the same day. Hurricane Harbor is free if you already have a Six Flags pass.
Went on the ride a few years ago, and rode in the front seat. When going through the first loop my whole body went forward and I hit my head on the front of the car. It was so worth it.
Oh yea c&c! I remember Justin bieber went before he was famous and someone hit him w a water bottle lmao. Lots of good memories as a kid. We need another park
ewww yes totally forgot to tell of this magic landmark place in me feenucks daze back in late 80s dang brings bok memories galorthat place had it all and then sum
Grew up here when it was just Golf n Stuff Honestly back in the day before it had a lot of this stuff it was BETTER!!! When Metro was alive n kickin BEST PLACES TO BE! 🫠💭 MEMORIES! ❤️
Yes, Golf n stuff! I was trying to remember what it used to be called. IIRC it used to just be the mini golf, arcades and the carts (which used to go way faster than what is shown here) hence why the mini golf takes up so much of the room.
I grew up going to this park! It's main thing was that it's the only double looping coaster in AZ. I can confirm regardless of where you sit, the desert storm will want to break your neck! Most of the time people only really go for the mini golf now.
It's amazing this place can still afford to operate...It was neat in 1992....But Great Skate is still open so I guess what was good then is good now...except for Metrocenter...
I used to work there back in 2000 I don't know being ground maintenance I really didn't really not too many rides kind of boring but yeah very good video I didn't know you guys went there
I went to castles and coasters on a school feild trip and my friend dropped his glasses off the roller coaster but when we finally found them they were crushed by the go-carts
After a recent trip there I felt the need to give my thoughts. The place is a dump !! 3 of the main rides were not working when we were there, AND on a weekend too. The mini golf course is run down, and many greens had rips and missing patches making play very difficult. Balls also get stuck in the tubes because people dump trash in them. The employees are mostly teens standing around vaping and picking their noses. The pizza we bought was the worst pizza on the planet. It looked like vomit covered with cheese and it smelled like feet ! Everybody in our family threw up that night. The park is in one of the highest crime areas in the entire city and the parking lot had all sorts of tweakers and weirdos roaming around. Someone actually defecated in the parking lot. Half of the games were broken or unattended. The whole area near the water rides smells like pee and sulfur. The restrooms haven't been cleaned since the Bush administration, no TP in any stalls in the womens bathroom, my wife had to use her socks to wipe herself. After I found this out I threw her poo stained socks back over the fence into the food court area. This place is unsafe, smelly, outdated, and needs to be bulldozed.
I think u went there at a bad time... I went a few months ago everything was working fine lol i think the only thing it rly needs is different more secrure restraints on the swinging dragon ride and the log ride it's not a shit hole but ya it's not the best
@@Rene-jsjshhd that's just to many problems to be categorized as "going at a bad time". Broken rides, trashed golf course, vile pizza, piss filled pool, feces in parking lot, wife having to use her socks to wipe her behind, and criminals and drug addicts in the parking area. That's all it took for us. I hope someone enjoyed my wifes feces covered sock and I hope it landed on someones food. I'd let my kids play in the streets in Ukraine before I brought them back here.
This was my first park from when I was little. The last time I went was like 8 years ago so I see somethings have changed. I wanted to go since somethings have changed.
Many things haven't. I just went today, and everything was just as I always remembered it. Splashdown was great I rode that and Patriot since Desert Storm is still down. That amusement park is pretty much all we have here in Phoenix/Arizona. I hope it stays around for years to come
Castles and Coasters: why does our state need a big fancy park when Disney and Universal are a breezy road trip away, we will just make a basic local amusement park. Still, as a phoenix resident of my life so far, I still have a special place for it in my heart
I live there in Phx and its trash, its absolute trash and seriously needs to be cleaned and we wouldnt trust hat coaster with our lives. However, its still fun passing by it on the highway!
I went last year and i LOVED it! I even loved it so much, i decided im going again next week! My fav is probably the smaller roller coaster, it kinda aggressive, but fun!
I did misspeak while talking about the roller coasters. They were both made by Hopkins not Wisdom as I said. My bad.
You didn't talk about any of the food they had besides they're blue taco lettuce...
I had no idea this park had so much theming! It seems like a super fun place, and I'd love to hit it up one day if I was ever in the area.
I recommend it! I was there a couple weeks ago and it was great!
Omg I'm 5 mins from this park!!! I would have come down and said hi!!
Great Video guys! The park is usually packed at night when the sun goes down. The mini-golf courses get super busy. The best time to go is at night with all the colored lights! Thanks!
It's less crowded during the day, but a lot prettier at night
I know right!
In the summer, you have to go nights or any metal on rides will burn so badly
It’s definitely not named after the war. It’s named after our thunderstorms during the monsoon season.

I don't understand the parks theming. It's called "Castles 'no Coasters but it's Arabian themed instead of Midevil themed.🤔
It was originally Golf n Stuff. Really has never had a “theme” don’t think it does now it’s just STUFF

Hello fellow Arizonians
Sad Az doesn’t have any real good coasters
Yep. I live here and it sucks that there aren't any.

I miss my home town Phoenix Az, this was my childhood place every weekend with my family… Born and raised ( True Phoenician) all the way❤️❤️❤️
Yooo, same
ewww yes totally forgot to tell of this magic landmark place in me feenucks daze back in late 80s dang brings bok memories galorthat place had it all and then sum
VIA resorts West Phoenix will open in about 9 months going to be awesome water park and coasters.
I usually past this place when driving. Not much people go to castle and coasters, what a bummer.

I went down there when I lived there and to me it was okay but wouldn't do it again if they made it bigger and more rides but I o each it's own
I guess you’re old when you think how do they not know humpty dumpty.
I was wondering whether to go to this place or not on a double date... this video helped me so thank you

Reminds me sort of like Castle Park here in southern California...if you haven't gone to it , its a decent little park!
Living out here in az it does remind me of castle park.grew up with castle park when they only had the castle and golf back in the 80s.
They were made by the same people
@@richardgrimes6208 No, you're thinking of Golf N' Stuff. There are two of those in California, and one in Tucson.

Looks like a nice little park for Phoenix. I will have to check it out whenever I'm down there.
The log ride is skary
I thought Desert Storm was built by a Hopkins but whatever whether its wisdom or Hopkins it still built by a jank manufacture
Going today
Nice video as always :)

Soooo I went here yesterday… And I was NOT disappointed
I wonder 8f skyriders count as a credit which is a zip line but has turns and dips also fill circuit like a coaster
I went to castles and coasters on a school feild trip and my friend dropped his glasses off the roller coaster but when we finally found them they were crushed by the go-carts
I went there today! ITS SO FUN!!!
I WENT THERE!!! The same ONE NEXT TO WALMART!!!
I wad gonna say thats a hopkins track
It is
ME TELLING MY MOM TO TAKE ME TO CASTLE N COASTER BC YESTERDAY WAS DIA DE LOS NIÑOS
That’s my favorite playground
