    That's a great chop mix recipe and your birds look so good. Glad you mentioned brussel sprouts and golden beets; I've never tried them but will put them on my list. My budgies have been doing much better since I have been able to get off most of the seeds.

    Hi! I enjoy watching your video. Do you give your bird broccoli and carrot leaves? I thought they were good food for my birds but I happened to watch a video that a birds owner saying that those 2 things contain something toxic to budgies. He said carrot itself and the first 1 inch of the leaves are fine as well as broccoli stems are fine. I also read exactly the opposite on broccoli stems. What is your opinion on broccoli and carrot leaves for budgies? THANK YOU!!

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  2 года назад +1

      Hi, I feed carrot tops, broccoli stems and leaves without any issues. It's best to feed in moderation without any issues.

    • @adorablebudgies6602
      @adorablebudgies6602 2 года назад +1

      @@Loveofpets Thank you! I agree. Anything with moderation is the important point here. Some well recorded videos do assert what are good and bad for birds so it makes me concerned at times. Your birds are absolutely adorable! Thank you!

    My male Quaker Blu alway puts his red beetroot in his water bowl before he eats it. First time he did it and I got home and checked on them seen the red water I went into panic mode thinking he or his mate Jewel was hurt only until I seen little bits of beetroot in there water bowl and watched him the next morning do it. Its like he wets it first to get all the redness to run out of it first before he eats it..
