Been running the agi/divine secret build since raging brachy came out, but with only focus level 2 with a sharp jewel. I like having purple sharpness all the time. Been learning the frostcraft critdraw builds cause of you, keep it up man.
i like that idea, polish on non MT GS makes sense and could make brachy worth running, so it pays for itself. cool stuff, and im glad you're trying FC, its such a fun playstyle ^_^

Frozen barioth has punishing draw as a 1 slot bonus. That could be big for draw attack GS. And if Velkana gets the AT treatment then frostcraft punishing draw might be a really fun playstyle.
I love that defensive build. I’m gonna take it and make minor adjustments based on my jewels because I think I might be able to add more attack. Overall great build

Cons OA aye no problem I appreciate you sharing this with everyone. I have trouble staying alive sometimes(depending on monster) so this build is a decent comfy build that still does good dps.

MT build should be the same, but punishing draw one will be outdaded for sure. And if next AT elder is gonna be velkhana, then frostracft set will probably change as well

Idc what you run as long as you dont triple cart and quit or fail the quest because your set is not able to output enough damage to not run out of time but if you are planning on using crit draw you use 3 crit draw for 100 percent affinity and frostcraft and punishing draw when frostfang comes out
hey cons I'm so happy you covered that punishing draw play style, I've been using that set up a lot although i chose barioth waist piece even though it gives you 4 points of quick sheath but I think it's the most efficient way? the only 2 videos I uploaded are just me with punish draw vs narga, I would love it if you can critique it since I don't play GS. I can usually only get 3 KO's with impact mantle so I'm debating if it's more worth it to just get 2 piece brachy for agi 7 instead.
your videos were really good, your GS skill is great! as far as dps goes, agi7 would be better but then you lose the coolness of punishing draw lol. And tbh i have no clue what's optimal for punish draw builds; i never spent time optimising mine because it's so off-meta

After rewatching a few times i'm disappointed that you didn't show a Guard Great Sword build. (with Guard 5, Offensive Guard, and Guard up being the key skills). It would've been interesting to see your take on this style of build.

Yo for the masters touch set,with the free 2nd Expert+4 you can max atck agt and crit eye if u put attack charm and can still get focus 2 as well as the obvious crit boost and WEX...this only works wid lightbreak btw
I play with 60% to 70% affinity most times since i don't like using the claw, i feel it makes the game less fun, and prefer a more classic approach to hunting, these are some cool sets though!
I made a build where I had 3 pieces of Safi armor for Safi seal, and nergigante ambition from 2 Ruiner Nergi pieces and it healed me lots more when I continually attacked the monster
that's a cool idea, but if you're willing to heal and not use resentment (i.e. safi is for the affin and extra ele only), you could use health augment instead? And then get a 2 pc set bonus? Either way, I like it
@@SubmitToTheBiomass I'm running LS, which I don't think is very good with the Safi seal, so just in case the Safi set bonus didn't heal me, the nergi set did. and I also have a build where i have lvl 5 resentment too, so I get what you're saying.

Seeing how devestating the crit draw frostcraft builds can be makes me hope AT Velk's armor will only need three or maybe even two pieces for frostcraft to be activated, that way it can be paired with two piece RB for the agi secret and a Kjarr greatsword for that crit ele and beautifully high elemental. Would it be meta? Maybe, maybe not. Would it be hella fun giving monke freezer burn? *Y E S !*

For the other elder dragons it made sense for there AT forms to have the same set bonuses since, well, they were the only ones who *had* that set bonus (Teostra and Master's Touch, Nami and Elemental Acceleration etc). With Velk tho, crit element is no longer exclusive to her set *and* the upgraded form, true crit element, has been available on the Silver Rathalos set since day one. It's for that reason I feel AT Velk might get a set bonus update, hopefully sumn along the lines of swapping crit ele for true crit ele or having frostcraft be a three piece set bonus and then adding "true frostcraft" as the set's five piece bonus. i dont remember which ones in particular i used, but theyre a couple of the villiage themes from old monster hunter games. Look for the 3u village theme, maybe pokke or yukomo?
i gave the meta (optimal dps) sets, and then rounded out the video with off meta stuff, including my favorite builds and as powerful a defensive set i could make to balance offensive with survivability That was as close to meta as I could make a defensive set. def boost 7 is not meta lol, and never will be

You will need to beat Alatreon with something before you acquire his weapons and armour though... So being best prepared should make it easier 😆

Divine blessing build,u can mix it with max might build to get 100% affinity easier u will drop recovery up and crit draw tho

you're working against yourself mate. you want to take advantage of the safi self-damage by running Resentment.

Historically Y armor just changes the skills up and deco slots, it hasn’t changed any of the set bonuses.
