We are Mowrator Backers and anxiously waiting for delivery. Your review/demo was the very best comprehensive video yet. Thanks and Great Job! We are watching from West Virginia USA.
Cleaning using water like that is quite common on bigger machines. My ride on recommends a 5min run time with the water running and the blade as close to the ground as possible
Do you think the mowrator could handle thick weeds like thistles and mustard? It appears like it can do a lot of what a brush mower does. I would be skeptical about sticks and branches.
It absolutely can. You might have to mow first with the deck all the way up, then mow it again a few times to get it right. I have mowed thick weeds, dusty areas with lots of sticks, tall grassy areas, paddocks and much more.
Great review! I think there is a huge need for a fully autonomous mower with similar features. There is just nothing on the market. Remote control would be no option for me and those other ones are just toys/for small areas. So I have to build my own now (will be similar to Mowrator 4WD but 1/3 the price + fully autonomous but it would be just one for me only - not a product). The idea section is also useful in your video.... I had similar ideas with my own solution 👍
Thanks for watching mate. Mowrator is working on a fully autonomous version of the S1, so hopefully we will see that soon. I wouldn't call the current automated lawn mowers "toys", as they work extremely well for lawns, and saves me about 8-10 hours a week mowing. @@LarsKlintTech great news from Mowerator. That is the way to go. If you have 15000sqm the others would be just toys similar to old fashioned normal vs riding lawn mower. After I posted the comment yesterday I got video recommendation from Yarbo. I never hear about it about before but that would be exact the product I was looking for (7000 Eur - not cheap but can do up to 20000 sqm).
@@flyingdogsoft I have seen the Yarbo too, but it is too early to know if it works as advertised. I have about 7000m2 of lawn/grass/dust, so the robots work a treat here.
I really wished it would cut straighter lines. I wanted to buy this but I think for the money I’m going with an auto mower. This line is fun and like it will definitely cut anything but for the money I want a good looking lawn. I agree it should have accessories like trailer and baskets. The yarbo has towing unfortunately its vapor ware and not in production. I’m not going to fund their development. If this had auto features w gps it would be the best
Choose what is right for you Sven. Because of where I live and the kind of lawns I have, it is a great compliment to my automated mowers. The Mowrator will mow through anything. The automated version of it is in the works afaik. Should be amazing.
Interesting about the charging of the remote, I charged mine with a regular USB cable and put the OG cable in the drawer. Also how did you switch the distance limiter off please ?
There have been several firmware upgrades since I recorded this, so that might explain it. I should try charging it again with a standard cable. The distance limiter can no longer be switched off. It is a really annoying 🙄
@@SimonGoldberger I just tried again and my remote will only charge with the supplied cable. I did get a pre-production unit, so perhaps it has changed.
@@LarsKlintTech I have a spinal injury so that puts all the physical tasks on to my wife such as cutting the grass and shovelling the driveway… Trying to look at a robot lawnmower to relieve the grass cutting because we are happy with our robot vacuum.
@@kore996 I hear you. An automated mower is super helpful, but does require a fair amount of setup time. Ok i gotta complain here wtf is 18ah of LIFEPO4 going for 1300$ ... you can get 12v lifepo4 packs for 50$, shit you can get ebike 18ah 48v packs lifepo4 for 250$ retail with a charger, They are SERIOUSLY marking things up!
I wasn't aware of the price for the battery. I do know there is a bunch of electronics in it too, and it is extremely rugged, but no idea what that does to the price.
I'll take that bet!! I have used it for 6 months now, and still use it weekly. It is much faster than a ride on, can handle much thicker vegetation than an automated mower, has received several firmware updates which has improved functional a lot, and I am not covered in dust, mud, sweat etc. when I am done mowing. It is a huge improvement here on the farm, but granted it isn't for everyone.
Watch the video, and you'll see why the Mowrator is a brilliant compliment to an automated mower. What I mowed with it, an automated mower or traditional mower would never be able to. I even spell out why in the video, as well as mention that an automated version is coming as well.
That's a pity. You would have seen why this is in a completely different league from the automated mowers. I absolutely love this thing, but it also suits my property, as there is a lot that just wouldn't work with automation. Watch from 36:34 to see why.
How much are they paying you to shill this bad product so hard? It clearly is very difficult to drive and manage overlap vs misses (as evidenced by all the skips at 17:48). Sure it can cut more than an automated mower, but its not going to out mow an electric push mower that is
Hi James. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it ☺ It may come as a chock, but different people can have different opinions on things. In this case it really suits my property. I have mowed a large chunk of grass with the S1, that was so thick and tall I couldn't use a ride-on, a push mower, or an automated mower. My only other option would have been a tractor with a slasher. Compared to an electric push mower, it has so much more power, I am out of the dust, I don't have to step in the long grass (which often has snakes and other critters in Australia), and I can stand in the shade. All huge plusses in my book. Is it difficult to steer? Not really, it is just getting the feel for it, and Mowrator has since pushed two firmware updates that has made that easier too. I have used a ride-on for a decade, and the vibration, noise and dust is not something I long for. Oh, and they didn't pay me anything. Again, it is my opinion, and calling me a swindler and trickster is pretty low. Let me know where your content is too. I'd love to support your efforts.
My back acre is on a 30 degree slope with 18-inch weeds and lots of mature pine and oak trees. Using my electric push mower up that hill was a killer last year. My 4WD Mowrator is just the right tool for the job!
@@amywatson916watson2it's awesome, right?! If you are mowing a lot of uphill and rough terrain, I know there are off-road wheels coming soon for it too.

There is a 2WD version where the front wheels swivel, but then it would be able to do as much heavy duty stuff.
