MUFC Soccer is the most overrated ‘sport’ in the world and is played by overpaid flops that dive, fake injuries and pretend they’ve been shot just to get free kicks and get opponents carded < Aussie rules football is a real man’s sport and is Australia’s indigenous game that has always been and always will be Australia’s number 1 sport. By 2060, soccer will continue to be AFL’s bitch and the laughingstock of sport in the country
Gary Ablett Srn in the 1989 Grand Final, taking the ball out of the Boundary Throw In, in the Pocket, then snapping a Goal, has got to be close to number 1.
#50 stuart dew's goal against Hawthorn was in 2005, #24 Aaron Davey's soccer goal against Brisbane was in 2006, #35 Steve Johnson's amazing soccer goal against Richmond was in 2005, #34 Wayne Carey's unbelievable boundary goal was in 2003,
Ablett's goal at no.19 was the best of the lot. Almost takes a great grab at centre half forward, recovers, fights off 2 opponents, breaks a tackle and goals on the run post-high from 50 out with a wet ball and in the mud! That goal craps on Hird's goal.
Any of Tom Boyd's goals from the 2016 grand final could count for this. Especially that last one when Toyd scooped up the ball after it spilled free when Dale Morris tackled Buddy. "The stadium holds its breath..." I was there and will never forget how the noise went from being silent as the ball bounced through to the noise of 85 000 people screaming ( the Sydney fans were pretty quiet) in delight as they realized that 62 year wait was coming to an end. apart from the birth of my kids its the greatest moment of my life. Actually now that I think about it, I have two kids and one premiership. Nah, fuck it, the kid's will understand-that WAS the greatest moment of my life!
Those Indigenous boys are in a class of their own. What a treat these lads bring to the game. I’ve never forgotten Michael Long tearing the Crows apart 93 prelim. He owned the ball that day. Us Crows supporters just looked on and wept
Greatest sport on the planet !! I stumbled upon a live AFL game on cable at 4AM one night back in 2004 and have been hooked since; and never watched a minute of boring American 'football' since ! 👍👍
I reckon most important goal was Nick Davis to put his team into the preliminary final and then be premiers in 2005 breaking the 72 year premiership drought for the club. GOOOOOO SWANIES
Ablett's 1989 GF goal from the boundary throw-in!? I can think of at least another 4 Ablett snr goals that should've come under serious consideration .. having said that, a lot of great goals and it was good viewing.
Gary ablett senior 1989 grand final vs hawthorn jumps over the pack and snaps one of the greatest goals of all time should have been number 1 considering that the 89 gf has been talked about as the greatest game of all time by the afl
There's been a bit of support for this goal and rightly so. I think I considered at at the time, would happily slot it in somewhere around the 35-45 mark if I redid this video.
I agree most freakish goal & he meant it too amazing skill to execute under pressure knew exactly what he was doing (despite 2 SA defenders on him). One of the most amazing goals ever.
James hirds goal wasn’t that great, maybe Carey’s goal in the 98 GF, or Lloyd’s goal vs North Melbourne (same game as when Carey boomeranged the goal). It’s always hard doing a list like this, you did well though. Major pluses was no music, no intro, or annoying voiceovers (like I’ve seen in a lot of videos that voiceovers kills what could be a great video). You did a great job
Best goal I ever saw was Ted Whitten, at the Western Oval, circa about 1968, maybe a little later, rain pouring down, Teddy has the kick in the centre of the ground, the ball back in those days would have weighed almost a ton, waterlogged to the max, and he kicked a torp right through the middle. All in glorious black and white on the ABC replays at 6pm on Saturday night.
Isaac Hore Great commentary, Bruce in his prime. The little pause is him trying to recall the 100m world record at the time - I'm not surprised he knew it off the top of his head!
My top ten in no particular order - #43 Stephen Milne, #36 Ablett Junior, #32 Michael Long, #31 Eddie Betts, #21 Brendan Fevola, #15 Daniel Motlop, #12 Wayne Carey, #7 Nick Davis, #3 Daniel Wells, #2 Peter Daicos. Ablett kicked an almost identical goal when he played for Geelong and Buddy has kicked so many great goals it's impossible to tell which are the best and which had the highest degree of difficulty. #23 James Hird - Best celebration of all time Also, this @ 1:39 ruclips.net/video/jutitD3sgpA/видео.html
motlops goal from 50 on the boundary against brisbane should have been in there and i remember 1 from daicos against geelong running to the pocket kick out of mid air pretty good list i reckon maybe careys against a bit higher
Not enough love for Aussie Jones - 4 or 5 bounces then casually finish it of on your non preferred. (Although with Aussie it was almost impossible tell his preferred from non- preferred)
Where are all of Peter Daicos' miraculous goals? And the ones kicked by Gary Ablett Snr, Jnr, and Wayne Carey? Not to mention the miraculous goal that Tony Hall once kicked in a State of Origin match against Victoria from deep in the right forward pocket at Football Park? All of their goals would eat this list for breakfast!
How is Hird's goal (no.23) even on this list? Yes it was a winning goal but it was only a regular snap shot - nowhere near as good as so many others ranked below it.
Good list, well done. I don't think Hird or Bosustow should have made the top 50 though. Hird's goal was almost a regulation snap. I get that he'd played an amazing last quarter and won it off his own boot, but there's been a lot more difficult goals kicked than that. Given that, did Blight make top spot because of the goal, or because it was a kick after the siren to win the game? Because I'd argue Fehring's goal was better. Or even Brendan Lade's torp (which didn't make the list). All very subjective stuff, but thanks for taking the time to put it all together.
No. 36... should be No. 1. What an absolutely talented snap from nowhere, and so easy to watch over and over again, plus the commentary was decisive too. Ablett at his absolute elite best! 3:54 Even Tom Lynch was like "Shit, what a goal"!!!! LOL
Wow...just wow! And this coming from a Yank who only gets to watch Aussie Rules Football when it was on ESPN and now Fox Sports 1 and 2. Simply incredible skill by these athletes.
No Music, no fancy editing, just showing the goals and keeping the atmosphere of the crowd. Awesome video mate, great effort. LIKED

Great video. I almsot want it to be broken into five catagories though
A: Huge bombs
B: Crazy snaps
C: Flukey soccers
D: Epic runs
E: Clutch goals

+extraverse no one can appreciate anyone's hard work anymore ..... Just enjoy the amazing goals oscar wang.
+extraverse do you hate Richmond I barrack for them
Haha I really don't hate any teams. I'd be interested to see if you could guess who I barrack for.
extraverse do you barrack for hawthorn
I reckon Stephen Milnes goal of the century goal against Port Adalaide should be #1
he couldnt do it in the draw
Top two I thought was spot on.
I go for st Kilda so yes it should be #1

Greatest sport on the planet !!
I stumbled upon a live AFL game on cable at 4AM one night back in 2004 and have been hooked since; and never watched a minute of boring American 'football' since ! 👍👍
That was fantastic! Loved every second of it.
Good call on the Daicos #2 goal. Those pockets were the deepest ever pockets, even more than Football Park. That kick defied physics.
I reckon most important goal was Nick Davis to put his team into the preliminary final and then be premiers in 2005 breaking the 72 year premiership drought for the club.
GOOOOOO SWANIES
of course...a swans fan saying the best goal was for the swans
Ablett's 1989 GF goal from the boundary throw-in!?
I can think of at least another 4 Ablett snr goals that should've come under serious consideration ..
having said that, a lot of great goals and it was good viewing.
chemistryset1 Yeah! they were good! My dad showed me!
we need and updated one with the 2018 grand final Dom Sheed goal
Don't you just love our game. At 14:46 there's a West Coast fan cheering Wells' goal with all the North fans
Gary ablett senior 1989 grand final vs hawthorn jumps over the pack and snaps one of the greatest goals of all time should have been number 1 considering that the 89 gf has been talked about as the greatest game of all time by the afl
That Malcom Blight Goal was crazy
Always to be disputes with a list like this but Craig Bradley 1994?
There's been a bit of support for this goal and rightly so. I think I considered at at the time, would happily slot it in somewhere around the 35-45 mark if I redid this video.
How about eddy bets goal in 2014 i think. It was aganst Collingwood at Adelaide oval.
Eddie Betts & Peter Daicos probably have the best goals highlights reel in VFL/AFL history. Mercurial and impossible both sides of goal.
Do a top 50 tackles of all time please
This would be very good.
Yes
Another great collection of highlights. Totally agree with no 1.
Carltonnnnnnnnnnnnn
lol
eeagles
hi
are you really eminem
Eagles!
Most of these were trick shots. Fehring's goal (37) was a real bomb kicked from behind the centre line.
Nick Davis goal is the best I can't spot watching it. Spine tingling
Peter Daicos Coll v WCE - surely the loudest crowd noise at an AFL/VFL game ever recorded...
Excellent video i really enjoyed it great football knowledge
1994 state of origin Victoria v SA Gary Ablett snr. Falling over kicks it over his head from the point post. Has to be in there.
That's the freakiest goal ever.
I agree most freakish goal & he meant it too amazing skill to execute under pressure knew exactly what he was doing (despite 2 SA defenders on him). One of the most amazing goals ever.
Top 50 of all time for sure should've been included.
No Wayne Harmes? No Ricky Barham? No Craig Bradley at Princess Park vs WCE, absolute all time classic.. ?
No Piggy Dunstall v Footscray at Western Oval? Fantastic solo effort
Hirds goal wasn't great but it was clutch
Great Vid, thanks for sharing... My favourites were Daniel Kerr's goal@6:15, Fevola's@11:12, Modra's@12:34& Well's@14:46
please make an updated version. Betts, Higgins, martin etc
Ken Sheldon 1979 GF
Andrew Bews 1983 goal of the year
Gary Ablett 1989 GF
Hi. I am Leojoshuatv and you're video is awesome keep up the good work
AFL at its magical best.
I've watched this so many times I can nearly say what the commentators are saying. Good Video.
1:00 Good old freo Getting shit on for the whole game but still being able to shine through, what a career Pavlich had
Number 37 - Jeff Fehring - Longest bomb??
Just awesome I think I can watch some more so every body should watch it
Stephenson's Barrel!
Great vid. Missed varco gf goal against Collingwood I think that has to be in top 5 personally
The amount of effort put into this video
Cool goals nice video l can't stop watching it🏉
2:12 was the best goal
Thinking Bontempelli's goal will be slotted in the Top 20 somewhere in the years to come.
This list needed Brodie Grundy's goal against Richmond from Round 2 in 2016.
Not an ALL TIME goal but was definitely awesome!
As much as I love that goal, this video was created in 2014!
I am so sorry, I didn't even bother to look at the upload date lol, my apologies 😔
But that is one of my fave goals too!

Indigenous players are just in a league of their own when it comes to goal scoring, some of the things they manage to pull off are phenomenal
love the videos
Tom Hawkins 60 meter bomb after the siren to beat Hawthorn.. Now THAT was a goal
Emma Scarffe I agree with you even, im a hawks supporter!I was till still hurttttttttttttttttt from that!!
he's run a 100 metres in 9........78!
Isaac Hore Great commentary, Bruce in his prime. The little pause is him trying to recall the 100m world record at the time - I'm not surprised he knew it off the top of his head!
oh haha I thought he just made it up on the spot hahaha
Isaac Hore who ran that fast?mate!
ya Matt whites the best!!
+Renate koncina Yeahh I reckon too!!
number #7 was an adrenaline rush
Good video. Needs far more Daicos though.
That Wayne Carey for Adelaide v North Melbourne says it was 2004, it was actually 2003. North won that game
Waiting for buddies goal v Collingwood at the MCG in 1993 but it wasn’t there
AFL Commentary playbook only has one page by the sounds of it.
"Goal of the Year"
"Manasssssaaaa"
My top ten in no particular order - #43 Stephen Milne, #36 Ablett Junior, #32 Michael Long, #31 Eddie Betts, #21 Brendan Fevola, #15 Daniel Motlop, #12 Wayne Carey, #7 Nick Davis, #3 Daniel Wells, #2 Peter Daicos. I’ve never seen that goal by vossy. But that was HUGGEEEE
Sam loyed’s goal after the siren is one of the best! Too
I love the modern game. But the shepherd for Aussie Jones at 3min... don't see that even close to enough today...
motlops goal from 50 on the boundary against brisbane should have been in there and i remember 1 from daicos against geelong running to the pocket kick out of mid air pretty good list i reckon maybe careys against a bit higher
awesome vid!
Oh, man, this is great.
Franklin 2007 elimination final to win it for the Hawks?
Of course you got to hit us Carlton fans with the Malcolm Blight at #1
Fantastic stuff.
Not enough love for Aussie Jones - 4 or 5 bounces then casually finish it of on your non preferred. (Although with Aussie it was almost impossible tell his preferred from non- preferred)
i am an indian and i like afl...
That's great
Arka Sarkar You should go for hawks
Go Hawks anyone is okay except collingwood. they choke everytime like south africa in cricket... :P
Yep! absolutely right!SAF have too many good players but for what
Yeh, nobody likes collingwood, black and white teeth.
These goals are so good
Matthew Lloyd 2007 goal of the year and David Zaharakis Anzac Day game winner in 2009 notable omissions
Where are all of Peter Daicos' miraculous goals? And the ones kicked by Gary Ablett Snr, Jnr, and Wayne Carey? andrew lovetts goals with essendon against carlton should be there
I got through nearly the entire video without seeing Wells or Blight and got very concerned... Thank GOD they were there as #3 and #1.
I’m happy as a swans fan COME ON THE BLOODS!!!!
Stewie dew ran into the crowd and ate 6 pies after that goal lol
No. 36... should be No. 1.
