Great question, Cecil! I honestly don't know which way is more common, but considering you say most of the others seem to turn right, then perhaps I'm in the minority. Once you learn the pattern of all the arm movements, you should know the dance well enough to join in with a group. At that time you'll follow the direction that the group is pivoting. If you're the first one on the dance floor, then you will be the leader and you can choose the direction while others can follow suit. Good luck, and have fun!

I notice you are turning left (anticlockwise). Most of the others seem to turn right (clockwise). Which way is most common?
