    Everyone is always complaining about the clasp. I have a 556A and also a 16710. I like the Sinn clasp better for, less flimsy. The quick extension works better and it’s just a solid piece of equipment that works. The bracelet itself is brilliant on this side of a Nautilus 5711. The 356SA will be my next watch, on a strap. Save a few hundred bucks that way and can swap the 556A bracelet. Sinn has become the ultimate tool watch company, where Rolex used to be. Affordable and available.

      They haven't become it, they were always have been a proper/genuine tool watch company. I own a four Sinn and four rolex SS sports models. Sinn appeal to me far more than my Rolex and Omega's etc but I'm hanging on to all brands ATM. This watch works better in the 358 original size for my aging eyes at least.

    I got a old one from 2001 for the 40th anniversary grey dial , but haven’t used it in years shame is I missed it and dug it out to realize that the acrylic crystal seems either horribly scratched or somehow cracked 😣 but really I d love it for it’s more compact dimensions as I never wear anything more than 38mm . But luv this none less

    The copper guilloche dial version is my choice, on a brown croc strap. Unfortunately this only comes in the 38.5mm version. 42mm (358 version) are available as Grey and black dials only..........for now, shame. Great pick to review Rob. Keep them coming.

    I disagree with not having a diving extension on the bracelet. With my hands being very chunky, it is the only way of getting a good fit on the wrist and still be able to take it off.

    Really good size, that 37 -40mm seems to be my sweet spot. I find that as I get older I notice that I don’t enjoy chronos. Harder for my eyes to focus with “so much” going on. What about the acrylic dial? Wonder why they didn’t use sapphire.

    One of my favs in the Sinn lineup. But I really don't understand why the sapphire version has a €500 premium over this one. Not all sapphire crystals are created equal I guess but still…

    • @moosabman
      @moosabman 3 года назад +2

      I believe the sapphire version also has a display case back which increases cost, and some sapphire models also have a 5 link bracelet instead of the h link so its not just the 1 crystal that increases the price.

    This somewhat reminds me of my Big Eye, but smaller and the Sinn is on bracelet. Have a Sinn U1 on order and hopefully will get it next month. Just watch Teddy's review on the a different model Sinn and he said the same about the lumbe and bracelet.

    Did the 12 hour chrono dial at 6 not snap back with the seconds?

    • @nggomez60
      @nggomez60 3 года назад +6

      Sellita/valjoux movements are weird with the hr hand at the 6. You have to push the reset pusher in really hard to get it to go all the way back to 12.

    • @faisalingalong
      @faisalingalong 3 года назад

      Noticed that too. I’ve not noticed that on my Omega but will check now!

    • @jmount411
      @jmount411 3 года назад

      Yeah its just a quirky thing with the movement if the chrono has been running for a while it sometimes takes a double push or 1 really hard one to get everything back to normal. I love chronographs and have quite a few but when im wearing them i almost never use it to time stuff. i don't notice it much but that is one annoying thing about the 7750/ sellita movement. They work and last forever though my 356 is quite accurate to about +5 consistently chrono running or not.

    It's very nice, beautiful design, and I know acrylic is traditional, but for me, with my climbing and trekking activities,I would need a sapphire crystal. This particular one you have is out of stock anyway since your video, 7 months ago. Maybe you sold them all with your fantastic review !!

    Cool video! I was initially going to purchase this exact watch, however, a few weeks before I pulled the trigger, Sinn announced their U50 series... So yeah, I did a ton of research and snagged a U50-T about one minute after it became available for pre-order lol. But that being said, Sinn also just re-released a *_revamped_* version of this watch...and I kinda still want this piece... But I probably won't be able to get it for 3-4 years =/. So those who get it, please enjoy it!

      @@davidhall4968 He mentioned the revamped version in the video and I had just missed that part when I posted that first comment. But also, he just didn't call it the revamped version like me (an idiot lol). What I had meant was the sapphire glass and display back model. So if anything, maybe that -revamped- *sapphire* version is a tiny, tiny bit thinner overall due to the sapphire glass not being as curved as the acrylic dome on those versions of the watch.

    While chronographs are my favourite complication, and I like Sinn watches in general, this is not it. The dial is simply too cluttered for my liking, even in the 42mm configuration. I totally dig the retro vibe of that crystal though. I agree that the copper guilloché dial would be my choice.

      I own this in the 358 version, I have large wrists so it fits me. I do agree with you, I've owned this watch for years and love it, but it's not quite right. Sub dials in off white would work better for me. However it works better for my eyes than an original Speedie I own.
