    Thanks, I just picked up the older draggy version. I'm looking forward to using it. Your video was great.

    Pretty cool and full featured. I really like the 3D view replay of the Dragy. Nice to see the lap times were identical with the Catalyst too.

    Great review! I should get one of these for the next track day.

    Nice review; I'm looking into systems for next season and the Dragy seems like nice kit. Thanks for the info and hopefully I'll see you at the track next season (HOD)!

    Great Vid! Just got the Dragy and will be testing it out next week at time trials. Never used data before so should be fun.

      Awesome! Be sure to play with it around your neighborhood first! You don’t want to fuss with it at the track first time and also miss recordings etc. looks like they’ve updated the point A to point B timer as well. That should work for messing around.

    From seeing a video of a guy using his Dragy on a go kart, to me digging through my house finding out I didn't throw it away, to discovering the dragy lap app, to finding your video. Thank you for this. More excited now for my VIR trip in March! Maybe try to combine dragy data with Insta360 footage.

    Nice detailed review, would be good to see dragy lap timer vs track addict app. If dragy allowed you to sync data from a Bluetooth car odb dongle, i would be really tempted. That way i can add car data like revs ect when editing a track vid.

      Supposed to be coming! Track addict would be just as accurate with an external GPS

    Great video and review. Which phone mount are you using? Any affiliate link you can share?

      Thanks! I use the Ram mount. It’s sorta X shaped. It’s good enough but it does sometimes tilt a couple degrees under enough g load which is annoying. Hit up my Amazon store page first before buying anything - that always helps me out even if you don’t buy from the store links, just pass through. www.amazon.com/shop/jetfuelonly

    Have you given Racechrono a thorough try? If not you definitely should 🙂👍

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  2 месяца назад

      I have friends that use Race chrono a lot for autox. It still requires you to buy a good GPS for the same level of accuracy as the other choices. That’s the only thing holding me back!

    Have you had problems with your phone overheating during the session? Running mostly in CA and AZ, that's been a common issue for me with phone-based solutions.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  3 месяца назад

      Phone does get warm and it doesn’t help if it’s up on the windshield. Have not overheated. Are you powering the phone from USB? If not I’m betting the battery is heating up to process everything.

    Just did a trackday with Dragy and can't see the optimal lap, does it just not display if your best lap was better all around?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  11 месяцев назад

      That’s odd. Usually if your lap was that good your time would match optimum and it should show either way.

    • @johnm4121
      @johnm4121 10 месяцев назад

      Did a second trackday, again no optimal lap in any of the six sessions I used it on. Will have to contact them I guess and see what's up.

  • @rickhart9

    Can someone hold the phone off the track to monitor lap times? I race on 1/4 to 3/8 mile oval dirt tracks. I would rather not have the phone in my car. I don't know the range of the receiver.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  6 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately i’ve never seen anything like that on the low consumer end. This has to maintain a Bluetooth connection. However, there are systems out there with equipment that you place trackside I believe

    Hi, out of curiosity where is the export function? I can't seem to find it.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  11 месяцев назад

      On the Garmin or Porsche app? For the Garmin, it's the little data disk looking icon on the top right. Check out the manual, Garmin writes good user manuals and probably will clear it up for you. As for the Porsche app it's the typical apple share icon.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  11 месяцев назад

      Also, with Garmin you can take the SD card out and put it in a computer and find the raw files there too.

      @@JetFuelOnly Thanks for the reply. I meant on the Dragy lap app.

      Oh sorry this app I use for comment replies has a very small thumbnail and I sometimes mix up the videos.
      Click on the video, choose the lap and then hit the share icon top right. Or on the list or recordings, press and hold on the recording you want to export and it offers options.

      Cool, I'm using Harry's lap timer, and I'm not having luck with exporting video. But does this also require a secondary app for the videos to be edited?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  11 месяцев назад +1

      Most or all lap timers do not come with video editing functions. Race render is free, I haven’t tried it with output from Dragy but a lot of people edit Harry’s with free version of Race Render.

    • @andresn1433
      @andresn1433 Месяц назад

      @@JetFuelOnly yes. Dragy Lap. Every new session the best/last lap is null, so don't get the green/red band compare. Have to do always a first new lap, and then it starts comparing. Opening/continuing a past session would be nice.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Месяц назад +1

      I see what you mean. That does suck because it’s one of the primary goals right? Trying to beat your best ever lap at a track. I’ll email and see if they have anything to say.

      GPS signals bounce off of walls and other things. In your room you may have not had good sight line of the satellites. Use it like it’s intended and you may get better results! Hope you find you like it.

    13:08… is that a laptimer on CarPlay? What? How? Who? Do tell…

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  3 месяца назад +1

      That’s the Porsche Track Precision app - only on some equipped Porsche’s. Don’t think there are any others that run on CarPlay. You can learn more about it in my video where I compare the Catalyst to the Porsche app.
